Zoe Saldana hates changing nappies.
The ‘Star Trek Beyond’ actress has 18-month-old sons Cy and Bowie with husband Marco Perego and admits she will do whatever she can to get out of cleaning them up when they’ve soiled themselves as she is always left with "s**t" in her hair.
She said: "Everybody told me, ‘Oh, don’t worry, I know you hate changing diapers, but when you have your own kid….’Well, guess what? I had my own kids, and I will do whatever I need to do to not change a dirty diaper.
"There is s**t on the boy; there is s**t on me; there is s**t in my hair. And I’m like, how did this happen?"
Earlier this year, Zoe faced a backlash over her role in ‘Nina’, a biopic of singer and civil rights activist Nina Simone – who died in 2003 aged 70 as a teaser trailer appeared to show her sporting a prosthetic nose and and a darker skin tone.
But the actress thinks her appearance is irrelevant as it is more important to tell the story of the ‘Feeling Good’ hitmaker.
She told Allure magazine: "I’m black the way I know how to be. You have no idea who I am. I am black.
"I’m raising black men. Don’t you ever think you can look at me and address me with such disdain.
"I made a choice. Do I continue passing on the script and hope that the ‘right’ black person will do it, or do I say, ‘You know what? Whatever consequences this may bring about, my casting is nothing in comparison to the fact that this story must be told.’ "
