Zoe Ball is to launch a major new book club on ITV.
The 47-year-old TV presenter is to host The Zoe Ball Book Club through her weekend shows ‘Zoe Ball on Saturday’ and ‘Zoe Ball on Sunday’, with the new feature launching on June 17.
Zoe – who is hoping to inspire more Brits to read – said: "I adore reading so I’m beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to bring a book club back to TV."
The ‘Strictly – It Takes Two’ host will be joined in the studio by a number of celebrity readers, who will discuss different titles each week for 10 consecutive weeks, and Zoe is already looking forward to the prospect.
Zoe – who has kids Woody, 17, and Nelly, eight, with her estranged husband Norman Cook, who is also known as Fatboy Slim – said: "I’m so excited to read all the brilliant titles on our list, and can’t wait to chat about each and every one of them with my wonderful guests and hear what viewers across the country think too – we’ll have a wide range of books that should hopefully encourage everyone to try something new.
"Thanks to our esteemed panel we can be sure they are splendid reads."
The book club campaign has already received support from some of the UK’s biggest retailers, including Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys, Waterstones, Foyles and WHSmith, all of whom are eager to encourage more people to read.
