Zayn Malik’s debut solo album ‘Mind of Mine’ has peaked at number one in 83 countries on the iTunes chart.
The 23-year-old singer released his LP last Friday (25.03.16), exactly a year to the day he shocked the world when he quit boy band One Direction.
The lead single ‘PiLlOw TalK’ from the record topped the charts in 60 countries worldwide and he has now reached yet another mammoth milestone with the success of his album.
The R&B star has thanked his loyal fan base, who he has dubbed his ‘Zquad’, for putting atop the pop world.
Taking to his Twitter account on Wednesday (30.03.16), he wrote: "Zquad thank you, dreams coming true right now (sic)"
Included in his Zquad is fellow pop star Selena Gomez, who recently said she loves the hunky R&B star’s "vibe".
Selena – who is pals with Zayn’s girlfriend Gigi Hadid – said: "I’m as excited as you to listen to ‘Mind of Mine’. Honestly, I was very surprised when the first single came out. I loved when I heard. I love the new songs on it. I think this new vibe and where it is going is quite clever."
The album also includes the tracks ‘Like I Would’, ‘tRuTh’ and ‘IT’s YoU’.
