Zayn Malik texting Perrie Edwards

Zayn Malik has reportedly been in touch with his ex-fiancée Perrie Edwards.
The former One Direction star has been bombarding the Little Mix singer, who he dramatically dumped last year following four years of dating, with text messages in recent weeks.
An insider told Look magazine: "Perrie unblocked Zayn’s number recently and the pair have been texting again. He’s on a mission to try to at least win back her friendship. They’ve only texted so far but he’d really like them to meet in person. "
But it seems the 22-year-old beauty has other ideas as she’s not interested in having a reconciliation with the 23-year-old hunk any time soon.
The source added: "Perrie’s made it clear that she’s not interested in a reconciliation right now. Her friends are worried that it’s a bad idea to even chat to him, but she’s fine for now."
And the former couple’s recent contact seemingly caused havoc issues Zayn’s new relationship with Gigi Hadid, who he began dating in November last year.
The source explained: "Gigi loves Zayn very much but she can’t bear the thought that he’s been back in touch with his ex. She’s been doing everything she can to make their relationship work."
Perrie was left heartbroken early last year when Zayn dumped her via text message, not long after he quit One Direction, following allegations he’d cheated on her.
The pair, who met on ‘The X Factor’ in 2011, began dating in May 2012 and got engaged in 2013.
Meanwhile, despite a brief recent split, Zayn and Gigi are still together and she recently took to Twitter to publicly praise him for opening up about his battle with anxiety.
She wrote: "Z – I’ve seen the battles you go through and the way you fight to get to a place that allows you to get up there for your fans.
"Your bravery in those times makes me proud, but your honesty last night proved what you’re all about, being real. Human recognises human. You made the best of the situation and have given your fans an opportunity to understand you better as a performer.
"Those who can find compassion now are the ones who deserve to watch you continue to grow. We are all here to support you and make each experience easier. Your talent and good heart will never lead you wrong.
"Love you and so proud of you always 🙂 G (sic)."
