Zayn Malik has cancelled his first TV appearance since he quit One Direction last year.
The 23-year-old singer was set to appear on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ later this week, with the show being aired on Friday night (29.01.16), but he’s been forced to pull out of the highly-awaited gig due to alleged "scheduling" issues.
His representative told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Unfortunately there was a scheduling conflict as Zayn is currently in the studio completing his album."
Zayn was lined up to appear on the show alongside the cast of the new film ‘Dad’s Army’, as well as actors Will Smith and Ryan Reynolds to talk about his debut solo album.
It was also thought the heartthrob would discuss his decision to leave the popular boyband for the first time on television.
Zayn – who is currently dating model Gigi Hadid – broke hearts around the globe last March when he announced he was quitting the now-four piece in order to live a "normal life."
However, he later backtracked on his remark and decided he would remain in music and, instead, carve a solo career.
Meanwhile, it seems there is some bad blood between Zayn and his former bandmates – Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan – as he claimed he’s reached out to them since his departure but they’ve chosen to snub him.
