Love Island’s Zara McDermott has hinted she will still wait for Adam Collard when he leaves the villa – despite him moving on with new Islander Darylle Sargeant.
The 21-year-old government advisor admitted it has been "hard to watch" the 22-year-old personal trainer crack on with 24-year-old eyebrow technician after Zara was booted off the show last week, but she would "love to see him again" because she felt they had a great connection.
She said: "It’s hard to watch. I mean, this time a couple of days ago we were spending time together and getting to know each other.
"It’s hard to watch because what we had was genuinely so real. You only know when you’re in it. It was the most amazing thing.
"He made my time in there so special, and as much as people may hate on him now for what he’s doing, no one can take away from me the way he treated me in there.
"I mean I’d love to see him again because of the connection we had.
"How that will go in the future I don’t know. I think it depends on how he behaves in the villa in the future.
"I’m not saying anything. Never say never. It’s just difficult to watch all of this. But I would love to see him again just because of how amazing he was to me."
But Zara confessed her disappointment at how quickly heart-breaker Adam has moved on.
Speaking to Caroline Flack, on ITV2’s ‘Love Island: Aftersun’, she said: "I’ve been mugged off so bad.
"I can’t watch this, I actually can’t watch it.
"Here we go again … Rosie part two."
She then asked: "How can he kiss someone so quickly?"
However, later on the show, Zara was shown defending Adam.
She said: "It’s difficult – I’ve left, he’s still in the game. What choice does he have after he’s decided to stay in?
"I don’t want to take the experience away from him. As much as I was asking why he didn’t leave with me, it would be selfish of me to ask him to miss the experience.
"He’s in there; he’s got to still do what he’s going to do. But I would love to see him again – purely because of how amazing he was to me."
Speaking with Darylle on last night’s (01.07.18) ‘Love Island’ episode, Adam said: "I haven’t got a bad word to say about Zara. But I feel a lot more comfortable with you (Darylle) straightaway than with anyone else here."
