Zara McDermott is determined to "stay true" to Adam Collard, despite being dumped from ‘Love Island’.
The 21-year-old government advisor was booted off the show last night (27.06.18) along with Eyal Booker, after their fellow Islanders chose them to be the next two to depart the villa, but she is keen to wait for the 22-year-old personal trainer on the outside world.
She said: "We both have really strong feelings for each other so I will stay true to him and my feelings and I can only hope that he does the same.
"I still want him to enjoy himself and the experience. I will have to see how the rest of his time in there plays out; one thing about the villa is it is so unpredictable."
Adam came under fire from several stars and ‘Love Island’ viewers for ditching Rosie Williams to couple up with Zara earlier in the series – just days after he had dumped Kendall Rae-Knight in favour of Rosie – and Zara found it so hard to wait five days to smooch the hunk.
She added to The Sun newspaper: "Waiting five days to kiss Adam was one of the hardest things I have ever done."
Adam was slammed by some ‘Love Island’ fans once again last night when a number of viewers took to Twitter to call for him to leave the show with Zara in a show of solidarity for their romance.
After Zara’s exit was confirmed, Adam had a conversation with fellow Islander Ellie Brown, who said: "You should leave, too."
Avoiding the issue, he replied: "I’m so upset to see her go."
He later admitted to Ellie that he was "distraught" about Zara’s dumping, but didn’t say he was going to depart the programme.
