‘Love Island’s Zara Holland doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with having sex on television.
The 20-year-old beauty was stripped off her Miss Great Britain title last week after she was caught on camera romping with her former co-star Alex Bowen, but she’s now hit out at pageant bosses for swiping her crown just because she had the urge to fulfil her "needs" while on the show.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "I’ve done nothing wrong. All women have needs. There is nothing wrong with having sex on TV. I knew what I was signing up for – it is ‘Love Island’. I am a 20-year-old girl who was in the moment. There are lots of girls my age who go out every week and do that, mine was just on national TV.
"I haven’t committed a crime so why should I have my title taken from me? It’s horrific."
Despite losing her crown, Lara has admitted she has no regrets about what she did on ‘Love Island’ but wishes her family didn’t have to see her getting steamy on screen.
She explained: "I don’t regret anything. I was in the villa for three weeks, I had the time of my life."
Lara – who comes from Hull – was forced to leave the villa earlier this week when her mother Cheryl was taken ill.
Meanwhile, the Miss Great Britain crown has now been handed to runner-up Deone Robertson and she will now compete in the Miss World competition later this year.
