Yasmin Evans: I couldn’t walk for days after Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins

Yasmin Evans "couldn’t walk for four days" after competing in ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
The 29-year-old Radio 1Xtra DJ was rushed to hospital following her departure from the celebrity survival programme after she developed trench foot from the gruelling course.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "Leaving the camp was really tough for me. I was really, really sick. I ended up in hospital and couldn’t walk for four days.
"I had to be escorted around because my feet were so swollen that I couldn’t wear shoes for a couple of days."
Yasmin recalled her time being grilled by Ant Middleton and the ex-Special Forces soldiers, which resulted in her toe nails turning black and almost falling off from the hard-hitting experience.
She continued: "There was one day on the course I was just so overcome with emotion. I was in my wet shirt and was like, ‘I can’t do this anymore.’
"I looked down at my feet and I just thought, ‘This is not OK’. My toenails were almost hanging off. They were jet-black. They were bleeding, seeping. My legs were cut, my legs were bruised."
Yasmin became the latest celebrity to leave the Channel 4 programme on Monday (04.05.20) along with former professional footballer John Fashanu.
However, the radio presenter would happily take part in the survival show again, as she claimed it was one of her "biggest accomplishments" to date.
She added: "You leave that course physically and mentally a complete wreck.
"But do you know what? I’d do it again in a heartbeat. It was one of the biggest accomplishments ever."
