X Factor’s 5am won’t wear tutus

The X Factor’s 5am won’t let Louis Walsh dress them in frilly skirts.
The three-piece urban pop act – consisting of members Jordan Lee, Kieran Alleyne and Nathan Lewis – are currently being mentored by the eccentric music manager and are adamant they won’t let him get carried away when it comes to their ensembles.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Kieran said: "I feel like we will have a little bit of input but not as much as we can. We’re open to everything but we’ve gotta try and find a line…"
Jordan replied: "[wearing tutus?] – that’s too far."
Kieran added: "And a g-string"
Nathan joked: "Speak for yourself, with this figure [wiggles hips]…"
Jordan said: "It’s going amazing. We’ve had such a great response to our first audition and from there we are just trying to keep improving ourselves as the show goes on. Louis is a good guy, I’ve spoken to him personally, he’s a very nice person and he knows what he’s doing musically."
The boys have been compared to 90s R&B group 3T and they are delighted with the feedback.
Kieran said: "It’s amazing – I can think of worse things to be compared to."
Nathan added: "We’ve got our own style and flavour but to receive comparisons from certified people and fans to anyone it’s nice to hear, it makes me feel a little bit better about myself."
The band has been given a few tips from the other judges Sharon Osbourne, Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger.
Jordan said: "One of the judges told us to ‘not be too urban’ and I think we can take that on the head considering we are an urban pop group."
And Kieran added: "Nicole has said to try and focus on our vocals when we dance to make sure we are not that jumpy and have shaky harmonies and really focus on that. Given time – we’d like to take it to Beyonce level and Destiny’s Child."
