Wladimir Klitschko, Geri Horner, Tony Bellew and Alan Carr for A League of Their Own

Wladimir Klitschko, Geri Horner, Tony Bellew and Alan Carr are among the guests for the latest series of Sky One’s ‘A League of Their Own’.
The stars will join host James Corden and panellists Freddie Flintoff, Jamie Redknapp and Romesh Ranganathan for the new season, which returns to Sky One and streaming service NOW TV on Thursday, 30 August.
Footballers John Terry, Ashley Cole and Jack Wilshere, comedian Rob Beckett and Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah are also among the guests who have been lined up for the show.
Romesh Ranganathan said: "’A League of Their Own’ has been a lot of fun, is something I’m contractually obliged to say despite the physical challenges, which I would describe as some of the toughest experiences I have ever been through. The guest list, however, has been phenomenal with David Walliams, Helen Skelton and Wladimir Klitschko, who was amazing. This series also saw the return of one of my favourite people in the world and ‘ALOTO’ Hall of Famer Tony Bellew – who was as incredible as we all hoped he would be."
Barbara Lee, commissioning editor, Sky Arts and Entertainment said: "Every year we aim to get the highest calibre of guests for the series and this year has been no different. The team work so hard to continue to push the boundaries and ensure sporting idols see our show as the go-to for sports entertainment. Where else do you see James Corden and Wladimir Klitschko going toe-to-toe or Alan Carr take on Tony Bellew in a speed-skating challenge?"
Jack Shillaker, series producer for CPL, said: "Our guests are integral to the programme, and we pride ourselves on bringing in the biggest names and showing them in a different light. It never fails to amaze me how bravely the guests throw themselves – quite literally sometimes – into the show."
Highlights of the upcoming season include hurling in Kilkenny under the watchful eye of DJ Carey in front of 30,000 spectators, speed skating with world champion Elise Christie, ThunderCat racing and a swimming event between the panel, David Walliams and Helen Skelton, who were all coached by Olympic champion Adam Peaty.
