Will Mellor claims Sheridan Smith hasn’t spoken to him for ‘3 years’

The ‘Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps’ reboot doesn’t look likely to be made anytime soon after Will Mellor claimed Sheridan Smith hasn’t spoken to him for "three years".
The 43-year-old star insisted the remake wouldn’t go ahead "without her", and he has alleged the 38-year-old actress hasn’t returned his messages or calls.
She said: "Sheridan just won’t talk about it. She’s not spoken to me in about three years now. She won’t answer the phone.
"So, there’s just no point in going down that route.
"Sheridan just won’t talk. I don’t know what happened. We spoke probably three, maybe four years ago and since then all of a sudden she wouldn’t return any messages or calls.
"I wanted to be there for her, but she’s just not interested so I just thought there is no point in going down that road.
"And we can’t get a ‘Two Pints’ reunion together without her, so me and Ralf thought we’d come up with something else."
Will and his ‘Two Pints’ co-star Ralf Little have put together a reunion of sorts, because they are planning to release a podcast of the pair talking about the old days.
Speaking on ‘The Morning After with Paul Danan’ podcast, he added: "Me and Ralf have got back together and we’ve recorded a podcast, called ‘Two Pints with Will and Ralf’.
"It’s going out sooner now because of this coronavirus isolation. We think it’s a good time to get some material out.
"We’ve shot hours and hours of it and we’re just going to put it out in bits and bobs. You will see it on different platforms.
"Me and him sat in a pub talking about the old days."
