will.i.am’s Michelle John voted off The Voice UK

will.i.am’s Michelle John has been voted off ‘The Voice UK’.
The 43-year-old singer – who’s mentor was the Black Eyes Peas rapper – has failed to make it through to the second part of the live finals weekend as she received the fewest public votes and was sent home during Saturday’s (01.04.17) show.
Each finalist – which included duo Into The Ark, as well as soloists Mo Adeniran and Jamie Miller – sang twice during the show to secure votes from the public, once on their own and once with their mentor.
Michelle took on Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’ in her solo effort, hitting impressive high notes along the way, and was joined by the ‘Scream & Shout’ hitmaker later in the show for a rendition of ‘I Feel For You’, also originally by Prince.
Welsh duo Into The Ark performed a rendition of Alicia Keys’ ‘No One’ before being joined by mentor Tom Jones for their take on ‘Hold On, I’m Comin’ by Sam & Dave.
Jamie Miller and Mo Adeniran both had Jennifer Hudson as their mentor and as such, the 35-year-old pop megastar was tasked with performing twice.
First, Jamie took to the stage to perform Justin Bieber’s ‘What Do You Mean?’ on his own, and was joined by Jennifer for a performance of ‘Runnin’ by Naughty Boy and Beyonce.
Meanwhile, Mo’s solo performance was a slow version of Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Don’t You Worry Child’, which was followed by a rendition of Labrinth’s ‘Beneath You’re Beautiful’ featuring Emlie Sande alongside his mentor.
Despite not making it through to Sunday’s (02.04.17) final battle, Michelle insists she still feels like a winner for making it this far in the competition.
She said: "I’ve got this far and I feel like a winner."
Into The Ark, Mo, and Jamie will now battle it out for the chance to get their hands on a life changing record deal with Polydor Records.
‘The Voice’ live final concludes on Sunday (02.04.17) at 7pm on ITV.
