‘The Voice’s will.i.am sent Lydia Lucy to a hotel after she was spooked by a ghost in the contestants’ shared home.
The caring coach – who has mentored on the show since it began five years ago – was forced to intervene when the aspiring singer was left seriously shaken after she disturbed in the night by a ghoul hovering above her bed.
An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "At first everyone thought Lydia was winding us up. But she was so frightened that in the end we moved her to a nice hotel where thankfully there appear to be no ghosts."
Meanwhile, Lydia is to go head-to-head with Ricky Wilson’s acts – Kevin Summ and Jolan Gidney-Craigen – and Boy George’s Cody Frost in Saturday (09.04.16) night’s final in the hope of scoring the winner’s crown.
But while the coaches will be rallying around their acts this weekend, Paloma Faith – who joined the show as a mentor this year – recently hinted she would not attend the forthcoming showdown because her singers had been axed.
The flame-haired beauty uploaded a photograph of her sitting on the panel alongside the cryptic caption: "Last night I went down with the ship power dressing in possibly my last foray into reality tv shows. I may not be built for them but I am definitely built for getting lost in music. Caught in a trap. No turning back. (sic)"
