Will Bayley is reportedly in danger of having to quit ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 31-year-old Paralympian was rushed to hospital following a painful-looking fall in training, which left him unable to dance during Saturday’s (26.10.19) show, and his future participation in the competition is now said to be in doubt.
A crew member who witnessed the fall told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "It was horrific to see close up. It was immediately clear that something very serious had happened.
"The crew rushed to get him medical help. Everyone has their fingers crossed but it looks very bad for Will."
It’s reportedly feared that Will – who has arthritis in all of his limbs – has torn his meniscus ligament.
The injury can take up to six months to heal and would, of course, rule him out of the rest of the series.
The sports star – who is currently awaiting the results of a scan – has already discussed his fall on Twitter.
He wrote: "Hi everyone, I am absolutely gutted I cannot be performing tonight on strictly with Janette, sadly I’m injured and not fit to dance. I hope to be back on the dance floor next week. Good luck to everyone tonight. Thanks for all your messages guys, ill be back!! (sic)"
Will later added: "I’m so lucky. I feel so loved by you guys. Thank for the messages made me feel so much better [love heart emoji] (sic)"
