Molly-Mae Hague’s puppy was healthy when she got him, according to his breeder.
The star’s pooch Mr Chai died just days after she received him from Russia and breeder Tiffany Puppies insisted they are shocked by the death as Mr Chai was a "healthy beautiful pup".
Tiffany Puppies said in a statement on Instagram: "I am getting lots and lots of messages, calls, voicemails, emails from people wanting to know what is happening. And I truly appreciate your concerns.
"Apologies for the lack of communication, however I hope you can understand that Chai’s passing has really affected us massively and we just cannot understand why such a healthy beautiful pup passed so suddenly.
"Truth being told we are awaiting on full veterinary results and conclusion as we want to understand everything as things are currently not making sense."
Molly was gifted the Pomeranian by her boxer boyfriend Tommy Fury for her 21st birthday last month, but after the dog suddenly died, the pair paid for a fast-track autopsy to understand what went wrong.
She previously explained: "Chai’s skull wasn’t fully developed. Part of his brain was exposed. In a tiny dog, any knock probably wasn’t very helpful.
"Whilst we completely understand everyone’s opinions about being shipped over from Russia, what you need to understand is that is not what made him die."
However, Tiffany Puppies insisted "this have never happened before" because they only work with "trusted" and "reputable breeders".
They said in a statement to Newsbeat: "I only work with trusted people and have a small network of reputable breeders who care for their dogs to the very highest standards and see animals as part of their family.
"I have rigorous processes in place to check animal health and the suitability of forever homes providing support and guidance for health and wellbeing throughout.
"I have worked with dogs my entire life and this has never happened before."
