Wayne Bridge is trying to convince his wife Frankie Bridge to go on ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ so he can have a holiday in Australia.
The 38-year-old former footballer is attempting to persuade the 29-year-old singer to participate in the show – which he appeared on in 2016 – because he would love any excuse to go on vacation Down Under, and she is keen to take part.
Wayne said: "I’ve been trying to talk Frankie into doing ‘I’m A Celebrity’, because I want a holiday in Australia again! She should do it."
Frankie replied: "I’d like to do it to test myself. I’d find it really hard not being with the kids and I’d be awful at the eating challenges."
The former England defender – who shares children Parker, five, and Carter, three, with his wife, as well as 12-year-old Jaydon Jean Claude from a previous relationship with Vanessa Perroncel – is also keen to participate on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and thinks he would do well if he had a few drinks beforehand.
When asked if he would appear on the popular BBC One dancing contest, he told OK! magazine: "Never say never. I think I can dance after a couple pints!"
Frankie – who finished runner-up on the Latin and ballroom show in 2014 – previously admitted the former Chelsea player is an enthusiastic dancer who gets more confident with some Dutch courage.
She said: "I think he’d love to do [Strictly’].
"Whenever we’ve had dancers in The Saturdays or when I was in ‘Strictly’, he was always getting them to teach him moves.
"[‘Strictly’] pro Aljaž [Škorjanec] taught him how to do the figure of eight with the hips and that one comes out when he’s had a few beers.
"I think if he was allowed to drink beforehand, he might be actually quite good."
The pop star – who said participating on ‘Strictly’ was "a fun experience" – was the first contestant of her instalment to earn a 10 from the judges.
