Wayne Bridge for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Wayne Bridge is being lined up for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The retired footballer – who hung up his boots in 2014 – is set to slip into his jungle gear and head into the Australian outback later this week as bosses hope he’ll open up about his ex-girlfriend Veronica Perroncel’s alleged affair with his former teammate John Terry six years ago.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Wayne never really sought fame when he was a footballer so it’s surprising he agreed to go in the jungle.
"But ITV believe they’ve made a real coup getting him on board as he’s never discussed the John Terry scandal before.
"They’re secretly hoping the subject crops up during while the celebs talk endlessly around the camp fire to pass time."
The 36-year-old hunk – who has nine-year-old son Jaydon with Vanessa – has since moved on from the scandal, which ultimately lead to him quitting international football, and is now married to The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge, with whom he has children, Parker, two, and Carter, 14 months.
However, if ITV does manage to persuade Wayne to take the cash in exchange for three weeks in the jungle, he won’t be the first footballer to take part as former Premier League stars John Fashanu, Neil Razor Ruddock, Jimmy Bullard and Keiron Dyer have all been there before.
Bosses are seemingly on a mission to make this year’s line up as explosion as possible and have already nabbed Carol Vorderman, Danny Baker, Larry Lamb and Lisa Snowdon for the forthcoming series.
However, all names thrown around at this moment in time are purely "speculation".
‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ returns to screens on November 14.
