Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews team up with Fireman Sam for dog safety campaign

Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews have teamed up with ‘Fireman Sam’ for a new campaign geared towards keeping dogs safe during the summer.
The celebrity couple hosted a talk alongside the much-loved children’s character and the RSPCA to warn youngsters about the dangers of leaving their pets in overheated cars as part of the Dogs Die in Hot Cars project.
Ahead of the event at Phileas Fox Nursery School in West London, Vogue, 32 said: "When the weather is warm, it is extremely dangerous for dogs to be left on their own in a car or any other vehicle or building.
"I am fully supporting the ‘Fireman Sam’ campaign to help raise awareness amongst young children about what to do if you see a dog in danger – and that is to dial 999 straight away and to report the animal in distress to the authorities".
The educational event also saw the pair – who are just weeks away from expecting their first child together – joined by their pet dog Winston, who they revealed is kept cool thanks to swims in the lake near their London home.
Former ‘Made In Chelsea’ star Spencer, 29, echoed the importance of the campaign and why being vigilant is key when it comes to taking care of our canines during the current heatwave.
He shared: "Dogs Die in Hot Cars is an extremely important campaign and it’s imperative that everyone, regardless of their age, knows what to do when they see a dog in danger on a warm day.
"Our furry friends are relying on us to keep them safe and well in this warm weather we’re experiencing."
