Victoria Beckham wants to design Pippa Middleton’s wedding dress.
The 42-year-old fashion designer has been scribbling away in her sketch book since she found out the brunette beauty – who is the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge – had got engaged to billionaire James Matthews last month, and has revealed she is desperate to create the stunning marital gown for her ceremony next year.
A source close to the fashion mogul said: "She loves the idea of another royal wedding. Pippa was flattered when Victoria approached her at Catherine’s wedding [in 2012] but she’s thinking about choosing an unknown designer and turning them into a star overnight."
However, the former Spice Girls singer hasn’t given up hope yet and is hoping her friend Eva Longoria – whose wedding dress she designed earlier this year – will help promote her work.
The source explained: "Victoria is planning a full-on ‘charm Pippa’ campaign. She’s enlisting all her celebrity friends including Eva Longoria to subtly promote her.
"She knows Pippa’s a big fan of Hollywood and she’s hoping that getting attention from women like Kate Beckinsale and Scarlett Johansson will help her case."
And Victoria has already started pulling out all the stops, and has reportedly sent the 32-year-old an extravagant floral display last month to congratulate her on her engagement.
The insider told Now magazine: "As soon as she heard the wedding news, Victoria sent a huge wall of white roses to congratulate her. It was very over the top but it definitely got Pippa’s attention. Vic’s sent her some sample outfits and has even promised to feature her in an ad campaign if she picks her. Victoria’s appealing to her every way she can. She wants this and won’t stop until a decision has been made."
