Victoria Beckham smothers herself in cooking oil to keep her skin super smooth.
Instead of using expensive cosmetic products, the 42-year-old fashion designer says coconut oil which is used to make meals is better than anything on the market for moisturising your body.
Sharing her top three beauty tips in an exclusive interview with UK TV show ‘This Morning’, she said: "Number one I would say coconut oil. So I use coconut oil – the kind of oil that you would cook with – I use it all over my body as well because it’s really, really moisturising, so I would say coconut oil."
Victoria’s other top two tips are eating a "balanced diet" packed with "good fats" such as "avocado, nuts and lots of oily fish" and always taking off your makeup before you go to bed.
The Spice Girls star also revealed her love of fashion and makeup was instilled in her as a child when she used to watch her mother Jackie get ready.
She said: "I’ve been interested in beauty and makeup for as long as I can remember, I remember when I was really young and I was going to school and my mum would get out her lipstick from her bag and put a little bit of her lip on my cheek and she’d tell me that I looked a bit peaky and try to liven me up a little bit, if you like.
"I’ve always loved makeup, I’m very, very girly, I used to sit and watch my mum get ready, my mum is very glamorous and I remember sitting on her bed and watching her apply her makeup, get dressed and do her hair … I like to make the best of what I have, I’m not a supermodel, clearly, I’m not a makeup artist, I’m a real woman."
And now history is repeating itself as Victoria’s five-year-old daughter Harper loves to sit and watch her get ready and play dress up with her clothes.
The label boss – who also has sons Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 11, with her husband David Beckham – said: "Harper loves beauty! She loves it, I’m very close with all of the children but the great thing about Harper being a little girl, she loves to play with makeup and that’s really great mother and daughter time, she is very, very girly, she also loves to run around in the garden with her brothers and play football but she is very, very feminine and she loves playing with makeup and my clothes as well – she has been able run in [Alia] platforms for a few years right now, she can wear heels like most grown-ups cannot!"
