Victoria Beckham had "the best day" at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding.
The 44-year-old fashion designer and her husband David Beckham were among the guests at Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle at the weekend and she loved every moment of the "real and honest" celebration.
She said: "It was such a beautiful, incredible wedding. It was just the best day. They looked so happy, and everybody was just so happy for them.
"Meghan seems like a genuinely lovely woman, who really loves him. It felt very real, very honest."
The former Spice Girls singer – who has children Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13, and six-year-old Harper with David – was "really honoured" to have been invited to the wedding but wasn’t nervous about being part of an event that was watched by millions around the world.
She told the Evening Standard newspaper: "I wasn’t nervous, no. I was just really honoured to have been invited. I would have been nervous if it had been my day."
Victoria wore a navy midi dress with split sleeves from her own upcoming pre-spring/summer 2019 collection to the wedding and felt relieved to have far more choice in what she wore than when she attended the wedding of Harry’s brother Prince William to Duchess Catherine in 2011, as she was heavily pregnant with Harper at that time.
She admitted: "Quite honestly, it was such a relief not to be hugely pregnant at this royal wedding that it was a joy to be able to choose anything I wanted to wear."
The dress wasn’t due to hit shops until November, but after a wave of positive comments, its release is now being brought forward to July.
Victoria said: "I love a bit of navy. The dress is one of my favourites: it isn’t in store until November, but we’ve had so many inquiries about it that I’m seeing whether I can bring it forward."
And Victoria also gave her seal of approval to the bride’s dress, which was designed by Givenchy’s Claire Waight Keller.
She said: "I thought she looked absolutely beautiful. It really suited her. I thought it was perfect for her. And Harry looked great."
