Vicky Pattison complained to producers of a TV show when she discovered she was being paid four times less than her male co-star.
The 28-year-old beauty was mistakenly sent the wrong contract for the unnamed programme which led to her learning "all of his contract particulars" including the far more lucrative pay cheque.
Vicky – who became famous appearing on MTV’s ‘Geordie Shore’ – decided to immediately confront the producers and negotiate a better deal.
Speaking about the problem with the gender pay gap on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’, she said: "I’ve had this happen to me before on one of the TV shows I’ve been doing over the years.
"I got sent one of my male co-stars’ contracts by mistake and I was therefore privy to all of the information, to all of his in contract particulars. I found out what class of travel he was travelling in, I found he was getting paid almost four times what I was getting paid. So I used it against the company, I used it to get more money for myself."
Vicky – who was crowned the winner of the last series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! – recently earned her first million pounds and rather than waste her cash she’s been investing in property.
She previously said: "I’ve just about hit the seven-figure mark for the first time. But I’m being wise with my money. I’ve been very well advised and I’m turning myself into a bit of a property tycoon. I recently bought a house in Newcastle and I’ve just had an offer accepted on a property in Essex, so I’m very happy.
"But I’m also being careful. Some people fritter their money away but I’m not like that. I’m being responsible. No flash cars and designer handbags for me. I’d rather have a gin and tonic and a Domino’s pizza."
