Vicky Pattison overwhelmed by fame

Vicky Pattison was on the verge of a breakdown last year.

The 29-year-old star spent 22 hours a day shooting MTV’s ‘Judge Geordie’ before jetting straight across to Mexico to film ‘Ex on the Beach’ but has admitted, despite the success she’s had over the past 12 months, her gruelling work schedule almost tipped her over the edge.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: "Everyone who was working on ‘Judge’ was worried I was heading for a breakdown because I was working too hard – simple as that.

"We were filming the show five days a week and on the other two days I was doing PAs, working on my first novel ‘All That Glitters’, doing press days and photo shoots and anything else that came my way. I was crying all the time. I wasn’t sleeping properly – if at all – and I was exhausted."

The brunette beauty began to drown her stress with booze but became "delirious" and "run down" in front of the cameras, before she was forced to seek comfort from the film crew.

She explained: "I wanted success but hadn’t seen my family in weeks and I had no balance in my life. I was careering towards a meltdown and it happened the minute I arrived at ‘Ex on the Beach’."

The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star later turned to This Morning’s life coaches Nik and Eva Speakman in a bid to help her deal with the pressures of her growing fame.
