Val Kilmer doesn’t think his Cate Blanchett tweets are ‘creepy’

Val Kilmer doesn’t think his tweets declaring his love for Cate Blanchett are "creepy" in the slightest.
The 57-year-old actor stunned his fans when he revealed he had once got on a plane from the United States to Australia just to be in Cate’s company and how he "recently" had "two dreams" about her, which didn’t involve her spouse.
And he has since responded to the backlash from his followers and defended his admiration for the 47-year-old actress – who has three sons, Dashiell, 15, Roman, 12 and eight-year-old Ignatius, and two-year-old daughter Edith with husband Andrew Upton – whom he starred with in 2003’s ‘The Missing’.
A user with the Twitter handle @Ruth_Less_Lady said: "You’re being super creepy and obsessive about now let is go eh (sic)"
And Val replied: "nothing in the least creepy about loving someone. What kind of world do you come from? (sic)"
They then responded telling Val that he should consider that Cate’s husband may not be happy about him publicly stating his love for her, snapping back: "yeah I’m sure her husband wouldn’t think you loving her as much as you clearly do is ok though (sic)"
However, the ‘Batman Forever’ doesn’t think the blonde beauty would be bothered by the attention as she has been in the industry for over two decades.
He concluded: "she’s had to deal with her beauty and attraction and fame for 25 years. You think they are Quakers or something? (sic)"
In a series of tweets posted over the weekend about the lengths he’s gone to just to be in Cate’s company, Val explained: "Once I flew all the way to Australia just to talk to Cate Blanchett. Her husband met me first. Or, instead, I guess, to be accurate … And recently I’ve had 2 dreams with #CateBlanchett in them. Her husband wasn’t in either of them … She’s just as amazing in person. Some superstars aren’t … Some superstars don’t do a thing to ya in person … Cate is so real it’s almost unreal … (sic)"
He also shared how he picked a small part in an unknown movie just so he could see her and was mesmerised by how she used a shovel in their scene.
He added: "Once I did a cameo just to hang w/ #cateblanchett who picked up a shovel in our sc. I was so dazzled by HOW she picked it up I forgot my line (sic)"
Despite admitting he is attracted to the blonde beauty, the ‘Top Gun’ actor insisted he was friends with her husband and they all "get along just fine".
The dark-haired hunk also told his followers that he doesn’t need to "curb [his] enthusiasm" about the ‘Blue Jasmine’ actress and if anyone doubts him he knows Cate will "back up every word" he’s said about her.
Val also said he has a lot of respect for flame-haired actress Jessica Chastain, 40.
He wrote on the micro-blogging site on Sunday (26.03.17): "I mean even if she couldnt act you know what I mean? … And happy birthday to #JessicaChastain whom I also love love love love love. And a #Julliard alum as well …
"I’ve never done said or written a single idea that wasn’t of the highest respect and admiration for #cateblanchett or any other great talent … She’s a friend of mine and I’ve met her husband thru the years and we’ve all gotten along just fine.
"Anyone who thinks I need to curb my … Enthusiasm for a great rare artist doesn’t understand how difficult the job is and how we artist count on the respect of our peers. She will … Back up every word I say n love that I say I love her. I would love an actor I didn’t even enjoy if he flew the world to talk about a role. (sic)"
Cate doesn’t have a Twitter account, so hasn’t been able to respond yet.
