Tyga is being sued for allegedly failing to keep up with the payments on his Ferrari.
The 27-year-old rapper – real name Michael Stevenson – has been accused of not making the necessary payments on his red 2016 Ferrari 488, which was handed to him by Alex Benedict, who is the person who has filed the lawsuit against the star.
In documents obtained by E! News, Alex states that he is leasing the flashy car and made an agreement with the ‘Rack City’ rapper in May to take over the payments. Alex argues that Tyga failed to pay him any money for the car, and by August the car had been repossessed.
The documents go on to state that the pair then made a second agreement which would allow Tyga to use the vehicle until October 9 2016, but Alex claims the star never returned the car, and it was repossessed for a second time in November.
Alex is reportedly seeking a whopping $150,000 in damages from the ‘1 of 1’ rapper, as well as attorney fees and punitive damages.
This isn’t the first time Tyga has had trouble paying off his debts either, as he already owes a total of $280,000 to jeweller Jason Arasheben – known as Jason of Beverly Hills – for unpaid bills and interest, $100,000 of which has been paid off.
During his debt testimony last month, Tyga cut short proceedings after just two hours because he wasn’t "well enough" to proceed.
However, Tyga’s sickness raised a few eyebrows in the boardroom as he also failed to present documents – including bank statements – like he’d been asked.
Meanwhile, Tyga has showered his 19-year-old girlfriend Kylie Jenner with numerous gifts during the course of their on/off relationship, including a $320,000 Ferrari for her 18th birthday, a $189,000 Maybach for her 19th birthday and, most recently, a diamond "promise ring" as a token of his loyalty to her.
