EastEnders’ Max to bed Lucy murder detective

EastEnders' Max Branning will strike a romance with the police detective investigating Lucy Beale's murder.
The Walford womaniser - who had an illicit romance with the young businesswoman before her death - will risk upsetting the Beale family once again when he beds DC Emma Summerhayes (Anna Acton), the official appointed to act as the Beales' family liaison officer.
DC Summerhayes initially questions Max (Jake Wood) in a professional capacity, but she eventually succumbs to the car dealer's advances.
A soap insider told Digital Spy: "Once again Max is beginning a relationship that could have big repercussions on Albert Square.
"Summerhayes is potentially jeopardising her career by getting romantically involved with Max, as his fling with Lucy makes him a possible suspect in the murder case. Max is also playing with fire by risking further upset with the Beales.
"But despite the forbidden nature of the relationship, there's clear chemistry between the new couple and fans will have to wait and see whether Max has met his match. Could Summerhayes be the one to tame him?"
Max was recently ostracised by his fellow Walford residents, who discovered his romance with Lucy - the best friend of his daughter Lauren Branning - on the day of her funeral.
DC Summerhayes first appeared on 'EastEnders' last month, breaking the news of Lucy's death to her father Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt).
Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins previously revealed the detective would have storylines of her own, independent of the murder investigation.

Spencer, Lucy and Jamie to take New York

Spencer Matthews, Lucy Watson and Jamie Laing are to star in 'Made in Chelsea: New York'.
E4 has confirmed the cast of its upcoming 'Made in Chelsea' spin-off show set in the Big Apple, with Spencer and co. set to be joined by Binky Felstead, Alex Mytton, Mark-Francis Vandelli and Louise Thompson.
Other cast members include Stevie Johnson, Rosie Fortescue, Oliver Proudlock, Cheska Hull, Fran Newman-Young, Victoria Baker-Harber, Sam Thompson and Riley Uggala, all of whom currently appear on the seventh series of the hit reality show.
Executive producer Sarah Dillistone said: "We're excited to have so many of the cast joining us in New York. Leaving the familiar surroundings of SW3 behind them, we're expecting more drama, more romance and more new friends. New York won't know what's hit it!"
Channel 4 commissioning editor Jilly Pearce added: "This is an exciting new extension for one of our best loved E4 brands, and we can't wait to follow the casts' loves and lives over summer in New York."
'Made in Chelsea: New York' will consist of six episodes and begin airing on E4 in August.
Earlier this week, brunette beauty Lucy Watson told BANG Showbiz the cast will fly out to New York next week to film for two months.

The Island to return for second series

Bear Grylls' 'The Island' will return for a second series.
The Channel 4 show, which sees 13 men attempting to survive on a remote island with a limited supply of water and only a few weapons to hunt for food, has defied critics by receiving a renewal.
Channel 4's Liam Humphreys said: "It's a brilliant concept which has exceeded our expectations. We are delighted to be bringing back Bear's experiment.
"I can't wait to watch another group face the ultimate survival challenge."
'The Island' was criticised by some viewers who claimed producers had provided the men with more water and had let two crocodiles, one of which the men killed and ate, loose on the island.
However, Channel 4 has defended the show by reassuring viewers that they had simply ensured the tropical island had enough water, animals and vegetation to keep them alive if they could use their survival instincts.
Speaking about the shows renewal, Grylls told The Sun newspaper: "Series one is proving that it is one of the toughest survival shows on television ... I'm so excited to take the next group on this adventure in series two and see if they too have the will to go through the hardship and fight for their very survival."

Michelle Keegan didn’t understand Tina affair

Michelle Keegan didn't understand why Tina McIntrye would fall for Peter Barlow.
The 26-year-old actress' barmaid alter-ego is going to meet a sticky end when she falls to her death after an argument with a mystery killer, as part of a storyline which has seen her become romantically involved with Weatherfield's resident alcoholic and bigamist.
However, Michelle admits she wasn't on board with the liaison at first and it took her a while to understand why Tina would have got near Peter.
She told new! magazine: "I'm going to be honest, when I first heard about the storyline I didn't quite understand why Tina would do that. She's someone with good morals and she would do that to a girl, let alone a friend like Carla.
"So I was really worried, because I thought it wouldn't make sense. Obviously you just have to go along with it, but now I'm doing it, I understand it a bit more and I put it down to the fact that she's very vulnerable and has been hurt a lot of times before."
Despite deciding to leave the show of her own accord, Michelle feels sad about her exit and couldn't help taking home a few choice items from the set to remind her of her six years on the show.
Revealing what she stole on her last day of filming, she listed: "A beer mat, my earrings and maybe a few items of clothing!"
Michelle had a blast celebrating the demise of Tina with a night out in Manchester honouring the feisty barmaid.
She added: "It was a Manchester Tina theme - a lot of people had their hair up in a bun with earrings. It was saying goodbye to Tina, really. It was the last time people were going to see her and the last time I was going to play her."

Lucy Watson: Jamie kiss was ‘awful’

Lucy Watson's kiss with Jaime Laing was the "most awful" of her life.
The 'Made in Chelsea' star was dating her co-star in the last series of the E4 reality show and reveals the moment when they lock lips onscreen at a Bollywwood-themed party took a while to film because it just didn't work.
She said: "Kissing is quite funny.
"When I kissed Jamie at the Bollywood party that was bloody awkward. We kept kissing, it was weird and wasn't working. It was like the most awful kiss of my life. Everyone was like, 'Hey, guys, do you want to try and kiss better 'cos it's really not good.' And we both got really shy. It was weird."
Lucy and Jamie are still good friends, but she's adamant she wouldn't rekindle their romance.
She explained to BANG Showbiz: "We're still really good friends."
Asked about whether she'd consider getting back with him, she said: "No!"
Lucy has just released a new dating advice book, 'The Dating Game', and she thinks it's important people - including her friend Binky Felstead, who was cheated on by boyfriend Alex Mytton - don't reunite with unfaith partners.
Speaking at the Lipsy VIP AW14 launch, she added: "I'd advise anyone who's been cheated on not to go back with them."
Lucy's book 'The Dating Game' is out now.

Cheryl Cole to perform on Britain’s Got Talent?

Cheryl Cole will reportedly perform on the 'Britain's Got Talent' final.
The 30-year-old pop star - who will return to 'The X Factor' judging panel later this year - is expected to make her pop comeback on the hit ITV talent contest.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Cheryl's booked to perform on the grand final and she's planning an sensational routine with a huge team of dancers and pyrotechnics.
"It's a huge signing for the show and a brilliant platform for Cheryl to showcase her new music, so it's win, win all round."
ITV bosses previously teased an "extra special guest" performance on the final, which takes place on Saturday, June 7.
Girl band Little Mix will also perform on the night with a special routine featuring former 'BGT' winners Diversity.
Cheryl could be following in Beyonce's footsteps by performing a new track for the very first time on 'Britain's Got Talent', and then releasing it instantly for her fans to download.
The insider added: "The single won't go to TV music channels or to radio until after the performance when Cheryl will then embark on a huge promo campaign.
"Fans will be able to download the track straight away though."
Cheryl is also being lined up to perform on 'The X Factor' live shows later this year to support her fourth album.

Michelle Keegan wants costume drama role

Michelle Keegan wants to star in a costume drama.
The 26-year-old beauty is set to depart her long-running role as Tina McIntyre in 'Coronation Street' next week and she has revealed she'd love to tackle a big period piece for her next acting project.
She told The Sun's TV Magazine: "I'd love to be totally transformed for a part with a really dramatic look and some completely out-there costumes. I'm a massive fan of 'Game of Thrones'.
"I've always wanted to play Henry VIII's wife. Comedy and costume drama would be my fantasy come true."
Michelle also admits she wasn't confident in her acting abilities for many years - despite playing Tina in 'Corrie' for six years - and has only recently learned to accept her talent.
She explained: "For years I felt I was a terrible actress. I felt like I stood out like a sore thumb and was a bit embarrassed about my acting. It's only in the last couple of years that I've started to feel like I can actually act."
The brunette beauty's barmaid character will be killed off in next Tuesday's (27.05.14) episode of 'Coronation Street' when she plunges to her death after being pushed off a balcony by a mystery assailant.

Natalie J. Robb: Fans are jealous of Cain romance

Natalie J. Robb gets messages from fans lusting after her on-screen husband.
The 'Emmerdale' actress regularly receives Twitter comments from lovestruck women who have fallen for loveable mechanic Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and are jealous of their romantic scenes.
She said: "I get a lot of messages telling me how lucky I am to kiss Cain. They're like, 'I bet you like doing those scenes' and 'I've been trying to show my husband the scenes so he knows what to do.'
"It's good, it's healthy, because then you know people are getting something from their relationship. That's what it's all about."
The 39-year-old star - who plays Moira Barton on the ITV soap - has a fair few admirers of her own and admitted she once got sent a pair of knickers in the post, accompanied by a very raunchy message.
Natalie giggled to the Daily Star newspaper: "I have had knickers sent to me on Valentine's Day with the message, 'Please wear them bonny wee lass.' Sorry mate, I didn't."
The actress admitted filming recent wedding scenes have put Natalie off marriage in the immediate future.
She previously said: "Even just filming these scenes makes you realise how stressful a wedding would be. Doing it for work was pressure enough, weddings seem to get out of control and I'm not sure how you stop that."
