EastEnders’ Honey Mitchell returns

Emma Barton has returned to 'EastEnders'.
The actress made a surprise return to the BBC One soap in last night's (27.05.14) episode as Billy Mitchell's estranged wife, Honey Mitchell, who was last screen on screens in 2008.
Honey was seen back in Albert Square with her and Billy's two children, Janet and William.
Following the episode, executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins teased on Twitter: "We will keep the surprises coming... #EastEnders (sic)"
Emma also tweeted about her comeback, writing: "Thank you so much for all of the lovely messages.. Haven't seen ep yet.. But very excited to be back on Britain's Best Sq! (sic)"
The actress first appeared in Walford from 2005 to 2008 and was at the centre of an emotional storyline when Billy (Perry Fenwick) and Honey's daughter Janet was born with Down's syndrome.
Honey's return follows Jane Beale's surprise reappearance in Albert Square in January, as well as brief stints from past characters Libby Fox (Belinda Owusu) and Christian Clarke (John Partridge).
Elsewhere in last night's episode, viewers were dealt another shock as soap favourite David Wicks (Michael French) suffered a heart attack just before his wedding to Carol Jackson (Lindsey Coulson).

Marc Baylis fears reaction to killer storyline

'Coronation Street' star Marc Baylis admits he's worried about the reaction from the soap's fans after his character was revealed as Tina McIntyre's killer last night (27.05.14).
The actor, who plays Rob Donovan, was seen in dramatic scenes throwing Tina from the builders' yard balcony after she threatened to reveal his secrets and ruin his sister Carla's marriage to Peter Barlow, after the two started having an affair, and Marc claims he might have to go to work in a disguise to hide from fans.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I think I will swim into work across the canal so no one can see me!
"I will just have to take all the flack - and all the eggs - on the chin. Or I will have to find new techniques to hide away."
This week, viewers will see Tina battle for her life in intensive care but fans have known for months that the brunette beauty, played by Michelle Keegan, was going to be killed off in the ITV soap, although the killer's identity has been kept a secret and Marc is now "massively relieved" it's out in the open.
He said: "We had been talking about the storyline since October. It has been a lot of hard work keeping my lips tightly sealed."
Although viewers know Rob is responsible for the crime, they won't see him arrested for the attack straight away as the criminal tries to pin it on someone else.
Marc said: "Rob is not a stupid man so he knows where to point the finger, where to play the innocent and where to play different cards that will protect him and cast shadows on to other characters."
However, Rob didn't plan the murder and ends up staging a break-in at Tina's flat to cover his tracks as the emotional effects of what he has done take their toll.
Marc said: "There are a lot of twists afterwards. It pulls him closer to his roots. Rob becomes slightly more family-orientated. It is not just, 'He is a killer now.'
"We see how he deals with it psychologically. There is a lot of good stuff and a lot of good twists."

Simon Cowell pays Amanda Holden compliments

Simon Cowell has been "amazingly complimentary" of Amanda Holden's looks.
The 43-year-old star - who serves on the 'Britain's Got Talent' judging panel with Simon - has received more than a few comments about her glowing appearance on the show this year and finds it extremely flattering as her colleague sees her "right up close".
She explained: "He's been amazingly complimentary to me this year.
"I know there have been comments on the sly from Simon, too, about how I look, so of course that's the biggest compliment of all to me because I'm sitting next to someone who sees me right up close. I can't get away with anything!"
Amanda admits she has often changed her hairstyle or make-up depending on Simon's reaction, although he would never be as forward as to tell her he didn't like her appearance.
She added: "He's never rude, but does this thing where he'll just kind of stare and his eyes will widen.
"I remember one time I came on with this particularly Eighties-style hair and he just kind of honed in on it with this look on his face. I thought, 'Quick, hairbrush!' "
Meanwhile, Amanda insists she isn't in competition with fellow judge Alesha Dixon, 35, and is tired of people trying to stoke female rivalry between them.
She told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "One of the biggest annoyances I've had was when Alesha joined the show and I got hundreds of questions saying, 'How do you feel about working with someone eight years younger than you?' I thought, 'I don't give a toss.'
"Perhaps if it had been someone similar to me, then possibly it might have become a sticky situation, but Alesha and I couldn't be more different, physically and in our style."

Michelle Keegan picked Corrie funeral song

Michelle Keegan picked her own song for her 'Coronation Street' funeral.
The brunette beauty's character Tina McIntyre will meet a grisly end when she plunges off a balcony to her death after a scuffle with a mystery killer, and the actress admits it was strange helping to plan her alter-ego's funeral.
She said: "I'll still watch the show. I've been bought up on 'Corrie'. My family are still massive fans of it. It's going to be weird watching my own funeral. I've picked my own funeral song as well."
Michelle found herself washing off fake blood in the shower after filming the gory final scenes.
She explained: "I've had lots of blood in my hair. You have a shower and it's like your own death scene, because there's that much red. It's really weird. Very glamorous, I tell you!"
Michelle, who has been on the ITV soap for six-and-a-half years, plans on taking Tina's gold earrings with her when she leaves the soap to remember her time there.
She added to Britain's OK! magazine: "I'm taking her earrings. They used to be gold and now they're brown - they've gone through the times with me. And I will probably take a beer mat from the Rovers."

Khali Best broke code of conduct

EastEnders' Khali Best was suspended for breaching the soap's code of conduct.
The 26-year-old star - who is known for his role as mechanic Dexter Hartman on the show - was slapped with a three-month filming ban by executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins, and it's claimed his suspension stems from bad behaviour that broke the terms of his £50,000-a-year contract.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Khali is in a very privileged position that many young actors can only dream of.
"His behaviour lately has not been to a standard the BBC expects of its 'EastEnders' cast.
"We won't go into details but his conduct outside of work has not been good at all and is a threat to the show."
Khali was reportedly called in for crisis talks with show boss Dominic about his recent behaviour and it's believed he has had previous incidents of poor punctuality on set.
The insider continued: "Khali has been fined in the past for not turning up to work on time and his behaviour has worsened recently, so much so that Dominic thought enough was enough.
"He knew he had to be tough on Khali to send out a clear message to both him and the rest of the cast that they have a duty as an 'EastEnders' employee to behave in a certain way.
"Dominic felt a three-month suspension was the right punishment and hopefully Khali will come back to work with a better attitude. If he doesn't then he may well find that his future on the show is short."

Rolf Harris: Assault claims are ‘ludicrous’

Rolf Harris has blasted "ludicrous" claims he sexually assaulted a teenage girl.
The 84-year-old TV star - who strenuously denies 12 counts of indecent assault against the woman and three other girls between 1968 and 1986 - gave evidence in his ongoing trial for the first time today (27.05.14), admitting to having an affair with the woman in her adult years, but insists he never performed a sex act on her when she was 13.
Quizzed about an alleged incident in 1978 after the girl stepped out of the shower, he told Southwark Crown Court: "Nope, didn't happen."
Rolf - who is married to Alwen Hughes - expressed his "guilt" over his illicit romance with the woman, a friend of his daughter Bindi Harris, when she was an adult.
He said: "It was a very flattering feeling for this young lady to be showing an interest in me."
The veteran entertainer later added: "I find it very hard to discuss this. It's very embarrassing.
"It's just a married man, a much younger girl ... I shouldn't have been doing it."
Rolf claims he began a romantic relationship with the woman and performed a sex act on her in bed during one of her visits to the Harris family home.
Insisting the tryst was consensual, he said: "She seemed to be welcoming the whole business and enjoying it."
The former 'Animal Hospital' presenter detailed how the affair ended in "a very acrimonious way" and alleges the woman tried to blackmail him in exchange for £25,000.
He lamented: "It was like the sword of Damocles hanging over me, I kept waiting each weekend for a newspaper to destroy me."
During the same conversation, Rolf says the woman became "irate" and began punching him in the face with clenched fists.
Elsewhere, the TV star bizarrely appeared to entertain the jury by singing a part of his song 'Jake the Peg' and demonstrating the sounds made by his favourite instruments, the didgeridoo and wobble board.

Doctor Who nearly ended after David Tennant

The BBC considered axing 'Doctor Who' after David Tennant quit the series in 2009.
Executive producer Steven Moffat has revealed BBC bosses were so worried about fans accepting a new actor as the Time Lord they nearly ended the sci-fi drama upon David's departure as the Tenth Doctor.
Steven is quoted by DoctorWhoTV.co.uk as saying: "I think there were plans maybe to consider ending it.
"David owned that role in a spectacular way, gave it an all-new cheeky, sexy performance, and became a national treasure.
"So the idea that 'Doctor Who' could go on at all in the absence of David was a huge question.
"I didn't realise how many people thought it wouldn't succeed at all. That was quite terrifying when I found out about it later."
However, it was former executive producer Russell T. Davies - who resurrected the show in 2005 - that managed to convince the BBC to continue the series.
Steven added: "It was Russell T. Davies saying, 'You are not allowed to end it' [that kept it going]."
Matt Smith succeeded David in 2010 and was the titular Doctor until the 2013 Christmas special, when Peter Capaldi took on the lead role.

Eric and Val Pollard to renew wedding vows

Emmerdale's Eric and Val Pollard are renewing their wedding vows.
The estranged soap couple are set to rekindle their romance next week when Eric takes part in a charity skydive to prove to his estranged wife how much she means to him following his one night stand with her sister, Diane.
Touched by his grand gesture and bravery after jumping out of a plane to raise money for HIV awareness, Val - who was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year - secretly books a church service to surprise her devoted husband.
Chris Chittell, who plays Eric, explained: "All of a sudden, Val realises that Eric is skydiving for her and her cause. Eric is not daft, really, because he knows that it's very, very important to Val that everyone knows of the HIV situation and how far it has gone since yesteryear.
"When Eric finds out about the vow renewal, he is totally flummoxed. His head must be scrambled and his heart must be racing, but he doesn't know what to expect. I don't think he expects what actually transpires, which I do believe is quite powerful."
The scenes, which will air at the start of June, could be the start of good fortune for the ITV soap favourites, following a disastrous few months.
Quizzed whether the trouble is over, Chris replied: "Who knows? I would like to think for a little while at least, they are rapturously in love once more!"
