Devious Maids cast avoid drama

Eva Longoria helps the 'Devious Maids' cast "navigate drama".
Actress Ana Ortiz - who plays Marisol Suarez in the hit comedy - has revealed the show's producers, Marc Cherry and Eva, 39, are eager to avoid in-fighting among the cast following their troubled experience on Marc's previous hit show 'Desperate Housewives'.
The Emmy Award-winning show was renowned for cast catfights between stars Eva, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Nicollete Sheridan, who even sued show creator Marc for wrongful dismissal.
Ana said: "Marc is like, 'You guys, let's just not do what happened on Desperate.' Let's just make sure we can keep it clean and keep it peaceful. Eva's an amazing sounding board for that; she knows how to navigate drama very well and to defuse it, and keep us all as a family. We're very lucky."
However, the 43-year-old actress - who first found fame on 'Ugly Betty' - admits it's difficult to avoid the occasional drama with her feisty co-stars Judy Reyes, Rosalyn Sanchez and Dania Ramirez.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It can be [difficult], I'm not going to lie. We're all really tough, we're all alphas ... we've all definitely come up against each other.
"[But] we have so much respect for each other, we talk it out amongst ourselves, we don't have to bring the drama out to everybody else.
"Working with women, it's tough. They're all so gorgeous! It's like, 'Why does she get that dress? Why does she have the pretty make-up on?'
"These are women I respect so much and love working with them. There's an honesty there - we can say it, get it out in the open and move on."
'Devious Maids' airs Tuesdays at 10pm on TLC UK (Sky 125).

Marc Baylis confirms Coronation Street exit

Marc Baylis has confirmed he's leaving 'Coronation Street'.
The actor, who plays Tina McIntyre's killer Rob Donovan in the ITV soap, is hoping to keep fans in the dark until the last minute about why Rob and his brother-in-law Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) are leaving Weatherfield at the same time.
Probed about Chris and him both leaving the programme at the end of the year, he announced: "We are indeed. We're both leaving at round about the same time. This is why we can openly talk about it because it doesn't give anything away, it just entices everybody."
Reminded that most killers on 'Corrie' tend to meet a sticky end themselves, Marc coyly said: "Let's hope that doesn't happen. We're trying to keep it as open as possible. It's fortunate that we're both moving on to pastures new..."
The 37-year-old actor, whose sneaky alter-ego finished Tina off with a metal pipe after she fell to her death, will miss sharing scenes with his former co-star Michelle Keegan and says she will go down in soap history.
He enthused during an interview on ITV's 'This Morning': "She did great. She was either lying in a puddle for half an hour, falling off the balcony or she had blood all over her.
"She did a great job. I hope we're given her the send-off she deserves, she's a massive part of the show and she always will be ... it's a big loss."

Amy Kelly signs new Corrie contract

Coronation Street's Amy Kelly has been handed a new one-year contract.
The 18-year-old actress - who plays homeless teen Maddie Heath in the ITV soap - has impressed soap bosses so much in her lesbian storyline with Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) they've extended her contract.
Amy, who had no acting experience before taking on the role, is said to be delighted to continue playing Maddie.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The bosses are really pleased with Amy. They were delighted to get such high figures for the kiss [between Maddie and Sophie].
"It was after that they decided they wanted to extend her contract.
"Amy absolutely adores being in 'Corrie' and has made some great pals on set so we hope for great things for her in the future."
'Corrie' executive producer Stuart Blackburn previously praised the newcomer, insisting she would have a job as long as he was in charge.
He said: "Amy Kelly as Maddie Heath is a keeper. The joy with Amy is that she has no idea how good she is. Short of [a] writer bringing in another story that I haven't expected, or Amy wanting to go, the character of Maddie will be here as long as I'm here."

Lucy Watson wanted boob job

Lucy Watson wanted a boob job when she was younger.
The 'Made in Chelsea' beauty has confessed to wishing for bigger breasts to match her "big bum" in her formative years, but has now got over the awkward phase.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "When I was younger, I used to want a boob job but now I think it's quite fashionable to have a small ones.
"My bum is so big, so I wanted to make it in proportion. Now I'm like, 'Whatever, big bum. Don't care.' "
The 23-year-old star is confident about her figure and feels "lucky" she is naturally slim.
She added: "I am very confident in my own skin. I don't really have a [body hang-up].
"I'm very lucky that I have a very slim figure. "
Lucy - who previously dated co-stars Spencer Matthews and Jamie Laing - recently admitted she enjoys pleasing her men in the bedroom and often receives sexual "requests" from fans on social media.
She explained: "I have weird fan requests everyday. It's all very sexual. People wanting to 'do' you. I read them and laugh, and I never reply."
Lucy Watson is the face of Lipsy's autumn/winter 2014 VIP collection, which is available at the end of the month.

Natalie Anderson is a royal family fan

'Emmerdale' actress Natalie Anderson loves the royal family.
The 32-year-old beauty - who plays Alicia Metcalfe on the ITV soap - loves going to the races at Ascot especially when Britain's Queen Elizabeth is present.
She said: "I've been lucky enough to come here a couple of times as some friends of ours have a box in the Royal Enclosure.
"Whenever the queen comes, everyone stands on ceremony and you're allowed to take a few pictures. I was very excited as I love the royals."
Natalie wouldn't let anything come in the way of her seeing the monarch and admits she once caused a small scene when somebody got in her way.
She added to Britain's HELLO! magazine: "So there I was with my camera, when this man darted in front of me. I grabbed him by the shirt and shouted, 'Gerrrrout of the way!' in a really broad Yorkshire accent.
"My husband, James [Shepherd], looked at me as if to say, 'You've just really shown yourself up.' "

Big Brother’s Helen Wood loves boobs

Big Brother: Power Trip's Helen Wood loves her surgically enhanced breasts although she hates the fake look.
The former prostitute - who reportedly had a threesome with football ace Wayne Rooney and hooker pal Jenny Thompson in 2010 - insists her boobs look natural despite having had implants.
She said: "I had my boobs done last September. I absolutely love them."
Asked about what size she is now, she added: "Only a C-cup. I've gone from mosquito bites to infected mosquito bites. I hate the fake look. A lot of people can't tell they're done at all. They're a really natural shape and size. That was the size I wanted. Just so I looked like I'd experienced puberty, which was nice!"
Helen - who has been guaranteed a spot in the 'Big Brother: Power Trip' final after being given a free pass by fellow housemate Pauline Bennett - also has an intense fitness regime which includes doing 100 squats a day to ensure she doesn't have a flat butt.
She confessed to new! magazine: "I've got plenty of time to be exercising [inside the house]. I'm prone to having a flat arse, so I'm going to carry on with my 100 squats a day. Half an hour of excercise a day will keep the fat away, hopefully."

EastEnders plans WW1 episode

'EastEnders' are planning a World War I commemorative episode.
Bosses on the BBC One soap are keen to mark the 100-year anniversary of the start of the Great War, and scenes will show Dot Branning (June Brown) organise a special memorial service.
She will be assisted by squaddie Lee Carter, the son of Queen Vic landlords Mick and Linda Carter, in putting together the tribute.
And Lee - who is played by Danny-Boy Hatchard - will also make a heartfelt speech at the service in scenes which will air in August.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The show felt it was important to mark the centenary.
"It is only right that the heroes should be honoured in the show.
"Dot is the perfect character to bring the appropriate level of reverence while Lee adds relevance from his experiences of conflict.
"It should be a really moving episode that fans will love."
Show producers are keen to keep the episode as accurate as possible, so scriptwriters are being advised by real-life soldiers to ensure military protocols are properly observed.
Meanwhile, the soap will ensure it stays topical tonight (16.06.14) after a last minute scene was inserted to discuss England's World Cup defeat to Italy at the weekend.

Rik Mayall’s World Cup song reaches top 10

Rik Mayall's World Cup song has entered the UK singles chart at number seven.
The late comedian's track 'Noble England' - which failed to chart upon its initial release in 2010 - reached the UK top 10 yesterday (15.06.14) following a tribute campaign by fans after his death last week.
More than 300,000 people signed up to a Facebook group designed to get the song to number one and helped it catapult up the chart.
However, 'Noble England' was unable to outperform former 'X Factor' contestant Ella Henderson, whose debut song 'Ghost' hit the number one spot and became the fourth fastest-selling single of 2014 thus far.
Rik, who died at his home on June 9, released 'Noble England' in 2010 to spur on the England football team during the World Cup in South Africa.
He said at the time: "I am the lovechild of Britannia and St George. That is why they gave birth to me, so that I could release this single.
"I'm doing my bit, just like every other Englishman, as we stand shoulder-to-shoulder, doing out bit, stiff upper lip - apart from when you're screaming out the lyrics to 'Noble England'."
A post-mortem conducted on Rik's body last week proved inconclusive, but his wife said he suffered an "acute cardiac event" after his morning run on the day of his death.

Cheryl Cole refuses to sit next to Louis Walsh

Cheryl Cole has refused to sit next to Louis Walsh on 'The X Factor'.
The 'Crazy Stupid Love' singer has insisted on being seated away from the Irish music manager - who once looked after her band Girls Aloud - and new judge Mel B will act as a buffer between them on the judging panel when auditions begin in Manchester today (16.06.14).
It's thought Cheryl and Louis are still at odds over his management of her former band and she recently called for him to be replaced on the 'X Factor' panel, despite him being the show's longest-serving judge.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "A lot of thought has gone into the seating after Cheryl said she wouldn't sit next to Louis. The pair have a lot of beef from the days of Girls Aloud.
"It means Mel has to sit between them -- giving Cheryl the key spot next to Simon [Cowell]. Mel is unlikely to be happy about that but, as the new girl, she is just going to have to lump it."
'X Factor' boss and head judge Simon previously revealed he and Cheryl, 30, had disagreed on whether to bring back Louis.
He said: "She doesn't want Louis to come back, but he'll be back. I want him to come back. We work really well together. I couldn't imagine it [without him]."
