David Hasselhoff for British show

David Hasselhoff is to star in a new British TV comedy.
The former 'Baywatch' star has revealed he is moving to the UK to film a six-part, semi-improvised series named 'Hoff The Record' - from the makers of Karl Pilkington's 'An Idiot Abroad' - which will air on Dave next year.
Speaking about his new project, David said: "'Hoff The Record' is coming to the UK, only on Dave. They did name the channel after me, right?"
The new programme will be shot in the style of a documentary and is about the life of 'The Hoff', a fictionalised version of the star.
A member of the 'Hoff The Record' production team told The Sun newspaper: "We are thrilled to work with David and are amazed he's game to play a jaw-dropping version of himself for us."
The 61-year-old actor first let slip that he was planning to work with the channel Dave on Twitter last month in a message that was later deleted.
David's last British TV stint was as a judge on 'Britain's Got Talent' in 2011 alongside Amanda Holden and Michael McIntyre.
The 'Knight Rider' star is currently dating Welsh beauty Hayley Roberts, whom he met while in the UK for 'BGT'.

Coronation Street icon Jean Alexander rushed to hospital

'Coronation Street' legend Jean Alexander was rushed to hospital following a health scare.
The 88-year-old actress, who played Weatherfield cleaner Hilda Ogden for 23 years, has since been allowed to leave, but is understood to still be receiving treatment.
Neighbours have told of their shock when an ambulance arrived at Jean's Southside home in Merseyside to answer a 999 call.
A local resident told said: "The ambulance crew came to her home. I saw it right outside her house last week. I hope she's okay."
Another added: "This is a complete shock".
The veteran soap star recently revealed she was experiencing health problems common among people of her age.
She said: "I have got osteoporosis and I have lost four inches in height. I used to be 5ft 4in, now I'm just 5ft. But this is what happens.
"I can get down on my knees when I'm in the garden - but if I get down then I can't get up again."
Jean left 'Corrie' in 1987 and joined 'Last of the Summer Wine', playing Auntie Wainwright from 1988 until the series came to an end in 2010.

Kym Marsh: Men are frightened of me

Kym Marsh thinks men are "frightened" of her.
The 'Coronation Street' star, who was previously married to 'EastEnders' actors Jack Ryder and Jamie Lomas and is currently dating personal trainer-and-actor Dan Hooper, admits men rarely try to hit on her during a night out.
She said: "I don't really get chatted up. I think men are frightened of me! Although I tend to go out in the gay village in Manchester and keep myself to myself, so perhaps that's why."
The 38-year-old actress has recently dropped a dress size to get into bikini shape in time for summer, and she thinks being slim helps her feel sexy.
She added: "If you feel like you're in shape then it does make you feel more confident. It doesn't always make you attract the right men, though, does it?! You can be in great shape but you can still get a wrong one!"
Kym also revealed how she was left embarrassed when she stripped down for her role as Michelle Connor in 'Corrie'.
She explained to Britain's OK! magazine: "I had to do a bath scene in 'Corrie' and all I had was flesh-coloured knickers and nipple plasters in front of this guy I'd only just met - that was embarrassing. At least in the bedroom you can turn the light off."

Jonathan Ross: Jimmy Carr’s laugh drives me mad

Jonathan Ross can't stand Jimmy Carr's laugh.
The 53-year-old chat show host has confessed he would love to go on a trip with 'Little Britain' comedian David Walliams or the '8 Out of 10 Cats' star, but thinks the latter's unique cackle would start to grate on him.
Quizzed on who his ideal rally car co-driver would be, he said: "It'd have to be someone you get on well with, joke with and not get annoyed with. So, either David Walliams - I love spending time with him - or Jimmy Carr, who I get on very well with. Although, I think his laugh would drive me mad after about a day."
'The Jonathan Ross Show' host admitted there are a lot of celebrities he'd be willing to travel across the world to interview, but narrowed down the list when he was asked who he would drive 3,000 miles to speak to.
Jonathan told heat magazine: "Sylvester Stallone is always great, Barbra Streisand I'm a huge fan of. Some of the younger stars who I haven't interviewed yet, like Scarlett Johansson ... David Beckham's always a great guest for me, so are Will Ferrell and Tom Hanks."

Jonathan Ross blasts Spencer Matthews

Jonathan Ross thinks Spencer Matthews is a d**k.
The 53-year-old talk show host was less than impressed upon meeting the reality show star and felt he was trying to put on a false persona.
He explained: "I met some of the 'Made In Chelsea' bunch - one or two I thought were d**ks. The one with the dark hair who had just cheated on his girlfriend...
"He was a bit of a d**k, but I think he was playing up to the character."
Despite admitting he didn't get on with the Chelsea lothario, Jonathan insists he doesn't have a problem with reality TV stars in general as he's met lots that he has liked.
He told heat magazine: "I've never had a problem with reality show stars - I think a lot of getting famous is a lottery anyway. The ones I've met, I've really liked. I met Rylan [Clark] and I like him. Amy [Childs] - I liked her, she was nice.
"I thought Joey Essex was really charming and fun - he knows what he's doing, he's much smarter than he seems."

EastEnders’ Johnny Carter to get boyfriend

EastEnders' Johnny Carter is to get a love interest.
The soap favourite, played by Sam Strike, will land himself a boyfriend next week after attending a Gay Pride event but he is desperate to keep his new romance a secret from his mother Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), who is still yet to come to terms with his sexuality.
Johnny heads off to London's West End for a party but returns home with a headache - and a love bite on his neck which he tries to hide from overbearing Linda.
A source told SoapSquawk.co.uk: "It soon becomes clear that Johnny met someone at Gay Pride and they really hit it off. He's got a love bite on his neck and a phone that won't stop buzzing with text messages - it seems someone is smitten!"
Johnny came out to his parents earlier this year and his moving heart-to-heart talk with his dad Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) earned a British Soap Award nomination.
Sam previously admitted he was blown away by the positive reaction the episode had.
He said: "With that scene where Johnny comes out to Mick, I was really nervous the night it aired, because you want it to look convincing but then you want to do justice by the people that have been there and done it. It was a real proving ground for me, because it was the first time I actually had to do any proper drama acting.
"I've had letters and Danny's had letters saying that we'd helped people to come out, and it makes things worth it."

Vernon Kay up for Strictly special

Vernon Kay would agree to appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 40-year-old TV presenter, who is married to the BBC show's co-presenter Tess Daly, wouldn't commit to a full series of the glitzy ballroom dancing show but is eager to appear on the annual Christmas special - despite confessing he's not a great dancer.
He is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: "My dancing is terrible. My brain just doesn't connect with my feet. But I could do the Christmas special."
Vernon was rumoured to replace Sir Bruce Forsyth as his wife's co-presenter for the new series of 'Strictly', but the job has since gone to Claudia Winkleman, who previously hosted the results show with Tess.
The 'Family Fortunes' host - who has two daughters, Phoebe, nine, and Amber, five, with his wife - is thrilled Tess and Claudia have been picked to front the show.
He enthused: "I'm really proud of Tess and Claudia. Two women hosting a primetime TV show is amazing."
Vernon recently admitted he was never in line for the 'Strictly' job and knew Claudia was the favourite to get it.
He explained to Britain's OK! magazine: "If I said, 'No, I don't want the job', then people would have said, 'Why don't you want to work with your wife?' So I said I'd love the job, knowing that behind the scenes Claudia had already got the gig."

Secret X Factor list revealed

'X Factor' bosses have issued a secret list to talent scouts to find stars comparable to popular past contestants Olly Murs and Cher Lloyd.
The 13-point list, which was sent by senior producers on the ITV talent programme, shows what TV bosses are looking for, including, 'a very camp group', 'a cool young choir', 'young bad boys' and 'a man-of-the-people male singer'.
The list, revealed by The Sun newspaper, also asks scouts to find a new Cher, Olly and Wagner and begs: "Please, please send over any new suggestions and we can queue jump them all."
A source said: "It's a farce. The idea the public have the same opportunities as these scouted acts is preposterous."
The person who wrote the list thanked scouts for the acts they had already put forward and asked them to "concentrate" on the new list as auditions continue with judges Mel B, Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.
The list - which has been blamed on an "over-zealous employee" - also asks for 'rockers', whether they are good or bad, 'a female diva', an act similar to 2009 contestant Stacey Solomon, 'young sassy girls', 'a boy with a great story who is cute and talented' and 'groups'.
An 'X Factor' spokesman said: "No one is fast-tracked or given preferential treatment. This year we have had tens of thousands of people enter the show."
Auditions are set to take place in Newcastle and Edinburgh in coming weeks, after three days at London's Emirates Stadium.

Lydia Bright hits out at Amy Childs

Lydia Bright has hit out at "disloyal" former 'The Only Way is Essex' co-star Amy Childs.
The 24-year-old boutique owner - who has returned to the hit ITV2 reality show after a two-year hiatus - was "hurt" by revelations that her ex-boyfriend James 'Arg' Argent had cheated on her with Amy, 24, at an ITV party and has no interest in making peace with her.
Lydia told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Me and Amy were never friends. I never knew her before 'TOWIE'. I don't have her number and I haven't spoken to her since. I wouldn't choose a friend like her. I don't think she's a very loyal friend. She's not really my kind of girl.
"It's unfortunate that she came into my life but then, equally, she's not really part of my life anyway."
Lydia also claims the pair made her feel "pathetic" after they denied the tryst when she confronted them during an episode of the show.
She explained: "I was very upset about it, naturally. I was more hurt because I had an inkling it was going on and I aired my concerns on the show with Amy.
"I confronted them and they said it wasn't true. I was made to feel like a pathetic girlfriend. I got upset because they let me go through all that when they knew it was true."
Although Lydia has no interest in making up with Amy she is prepared to clear the air with Arg, 26, whom she dated for four years.
She said: "I just want to reach a happy medium where we can be in the same room and not be biting each other's heads off."
