Jimi Mistry claims there will be drama when Leanne Tilsley meets Kal Nazir's mother in 'Coronation Street'.
The actor has revealed "fireworks" are definitely in store when fitness instructor Kal introduces his new girlfriend Leanne (Jane Danson) to his mother Yasmeen and her dodgy past as a prostitute is exposed.
Speaking on ITV show 'This Morning', Jimi explained: "He's aware of it - she's worked on the streets but that gives her a fire, that's her character. The old Leanne Battersby was a real character back in the day. I think Kal accepts that, but the family is a different thing.
"I'm trying to get approval from [Yasmeen] for Leanne, and then this revelation comes out through Nick. It's not the best start, put it that way - there's fireworks!"
The ITV soap newcomer also said that Kal's relationship with his teenage children Alya and Zeedan will play a major part in his storylines over the next few months.
He said: "I've got an interesting relationship with both Alya and my son, who will be starting later on. I was away a lot when they were being brought up - I was in the army, so we have this estranged sort of relationship.
"I'm always very cautious about how she'll accept Leanne. [She seems] to accept that, which is a real nice thing for Kal but then of course there's going to be this whole other stuff."

Kieran Hayler has rejected an approach to appear on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
The stripper's wife Katie Price claims he turned down £200,000 to take part in the competition in order to focus on repairing their marriage following his infidelity with her friend Jane Pountney.
Speaking on her FUBAR Radio show, pregnant Katie said: "Kieran's been offered 'Big Brother' but he turned it down.
"He got offered more than [my ex-husband] Alex Reid. Alex got offered £150,000 and Kieran was offered £200,000."
Asked why he turned down the offer, Katie - who has three children from previous relationships and 10-month-old son Jett with Kieran - said: "There's a baby on the way.
"We had a s**t time last year. He was more interested in a 50 year old's f***y than his son, hopefully he'll do a better job this time."
Meanwhile, the former glamour model also slammed returning 'X Factor' judge Cheryl Cole as having lost her "spark".
She said: "I don't think she's got the same spark as she did the last time she did 'X Factor' and I don't know why.
"She hasn't got that twinkle in her eye - she's just lost that spark for me."

Michelle Keegan won't let Mark Wright plan her wedding.
The former 'Coronation Street' star is set to tie the knot with her Essex beau next year and although they haven't organised anything yet, she is adamant Mark won't be in charge of the ceremony.
She giggled: "Imagine! It would be so theatrical. He likes to do things big. It would be a massive wedding. He'd probably fly everyone out to Las Vegas."
Michelle wouldn't mind flying out to the US gambling capital to celebrate her hen do, however.
She enthused in an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'd love to go to Las Vegas for my hen night. I would fly out all the girls and their mums - and their grandmas. Why not? Sod it, let's get the biggest suite we can. It would be like 'The Hangover'.
"I was there years ago but I can't remember it, so I would love to go back with all the girls. I don't know what to do with the gambling, though - I wouldn't know where to start."
The 27-year-old beauty feels like she's living a fairytale romance and can't believe she's going to be marrying the man of her dreams.
Michelle added: "The plan was always to meet someone and be happy by 27... and I am really happy. I wouldn't change anything."

Gary 'Gaz' Beadle could be in hot water with police after appearing in a car sex video.
The 'Geordie Shore' star was reportedly caught filming himself on his phone as a female companion performed a sex act on him in his £116,000 Ferrari car, according to The Sun newspaper.
The footage reportedly shows Gaz holding his phone aloft with one hand and smirking as he steers his vehicle with the other hand. The female can be heard moaning in his lap, it's claimed.
Gaz, who has notoriously boasted about bedding 1,000 women, could now face a ban and a £1,000 fine as using a phone while driving is a punishable offence.
The 25-year-old hunk could also face further action - including a £9,000 fine - if it's deemed he was not paying due care and attention to the road.
The raunchy reality star is known for his sex-crazed antics on MTV's 'Geordie Shore' and he's previously boasted how "easy" it is to get women into bed.
He said: "It's so easy to get a shag now, it's ridiculous. If I'm in a club, it's hard for me to leave alone. You're out seven nights a week and you can take a girl home every night. You can even have threesomes, so it's easy to bed 14 girls in a week.''

Rachel Riley has credited dancing with helping heal her broken heart.
The 'Countdown' mathematician - who ended her marriage to Jamie Gilbert after just 16 months last year - has continued using the ballroom skills she learned on 'Strictly Come Dancing' last year and reveals that throwing shapes to Latin music makes her feel "brighter".
Rachel told The Sun newspaper: "I love it, it's brilliant. You've got the days when it makes you feel a lot brighter ... a little bit of exercise makes you happy, especially when you've got music involved.
"I'd recommend it to anyone. A little bit of Latin music brings your spirits up."
The 28-year-old beauty says 'Strictly' had an enormous impact on her body and she now dances regularly to maintain the toned physique she developed on the show.
She explained: "My body changed completely on 'Strictly' -- even my belly-button wasn't my belly-button. I grew up playing football and netball but I hadn't done any dancing before. I didn't realise just how physical it was.
"I've started doing zumba classes off the back of 'Strictly'. It's kind of all the Latin dances as an exercise class. In classes no one is watching and judging you but you get all the exercise and fun of it."
Rachel is still good friends with fellow 'Strictly' stars Sophie Ellis-Bextor and last year's ballroom champion, Abbey Clancey.
She added: "I've made a few good friends on 'Strictly'. We went out for a girls' night a few weeks ago. It was good to catch up."

Helen Flanagan is trying to get pregnant.
The former 'Coronation Street' star has revealed she and her footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair are actively trying to conceive and has stopped taking her acne medication to increase the couple's chances.
She told Closer magazine: "I've been on some really strong acne medication but I've just come off it because I'm ready to start trying for a baby with Scott.
"I've always wanted to be a young mum and I now feel ready. It's something I've wanted for ages and Scott's going to be a great dad.
"I just hope it doesn't take me too long. And I'm not bothered about getting married beforehand."
The 23-year-old actress gushed over her 25-year-old boyfriend with whom she has set up a home in the south-west of England ready for their first child's arrival.
She said: "We've set up home in Bath together. I feel like I've finally got time on my hands to invest in our relationship. Scott is the perfect boyfriend. I finally feel settled and it's been really fun nesting with him."
Meanwhile, Helen - who also starred on the ITV reality series 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' in 2012 - has reportedly turned down the chance to compete in the next series of Channel 5's 'Celebrity Big Brother' along with 'Gogglebox' star George Gilbey.
A source told The Sun: "The pressure is on for producers to match the last series of CBB but it's going to be tough.
"Producers hope George will be a cheeky chappie but are gutted Helen turned them down."

Chloe Sims says Elliott Wright has "restored my faith in men".
'The Only Way is Essex' beauty recently began dating the cousin of Mark and Jessica Wright and she has credited her new beau - who has two children with his ex-wife - with making her more open to love again after her coming out of a serious, seven-year romance.
She told Closer magazine: "I've always got on well with Elliott. And he's a hands-on dad, which I find really attractive. In Marbella recently, I was ill with bronchitis and Elliott stayed at my bedside when he could have gone out with the lads - he's been my saviour.
"Before him, I was so over men, but he's one in a million. He's restored my faith in men."
Chloe, 32, also thinks her 34-year-old boyfriend is more mature and romantic than some of the younger men on the 'TOWIE' cast.
She added: "He's a man and the true gentleman of the show. He treats women well and I love that. He's not like any of the other 'TOWIE' boys."

Michelle Keegan can't be bothered to go to the gym.
The brunette beauty - who is preparing to tie the knot with her former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star fiancé Mark Wright - has confessed that while she likes to work out if she has plenty of spare time, she avoids it completely when she's busy with work.
She explained: "When I'm not busy I go to the gym about three times a week. But for the past two months I haven't had time.
"I wouldn't wake up and go to the gym if I had a full day of work, I just can't be bothered. I'm not that hardcore. I wish I was, but I'm not!"
The actress - whose 'Coronation Street' character Tina McIntyre was killed off earlier this year - also admitted that she usually eats what she wants and doesn't waste her time on unrealistic diets.
She told new! magazine: "I just eat everything in moderation. I never really diet because I think dieting never lasts. You can't live like that."
However, Michelle is planning to put a bit more effort into looking her best for her big day.
Quizzed on whether she wanted to change anything before the wedding, she added: "I hope to tone up a bit if I have time because it makes me feel better."

Joey Essex thinks Britain's Princes William and Harry are trying to "copy" his style.
The former 'Only Way is Essex' star, who is known for his carefully coiffed and gelled hair, believes the royals have been inspired by his look but has given them permission to follow in his footsteps.
Speaking to blinkbox books, he said: "They're quite plain but they dress cool. I think they look good. They're both trying to copy my haircut, which is annoying. But if they want to do that, they can.
Joey also offered love advice to Prince Harry, 29, following his own on/off relationship with fellow 'TOWIE' star Sam Faiers.
The reality TV star believes the flame-haired royal should play it cool if he wants to win back his ex-girlfriend, blonde beauty Cressida Bonas.
He said: "Just stay calm. Don't play games and just be honest with your feelings."
Joey, 23, spoke to blinkbox books following the success of his best-selling autobiography, 'Being Reem'.
But the star - who couldn't tell time during his time in the jungle on 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' - admits he isn't much of a reader.
He added: "This is literally the only book I've ever read! I'm into pictures, really. I like pictures and stuff."
