Michelle Collins has no time for ‘regular TV role’

Michelle Collins doesn't have time for a "regular TV role" following her 'Coronation Street' exit.
The 52-year-old actress is set for a guest appearance on 'Casualty' and while she explained this was just to take it easy, she still hasn't slowed down much since she left 'Corrie'.
She told The Sun newspaper's TV Magazine: "I only took the role in 'Casualty' because I'm in it for just three episodes.
"I really couldn't have taken a regular TV role right now though because my daughter Maia and my boyfriend [London shop owner Michael Davison] would have stopped talking to me!
"It would have been nice to have had a proper break after 'Corrie', but there's a big world out there and so many things I want to do, I just haven't stopped."
Michelle is getting to hang out more with Maia, 17, and Michael, 30, and she's enjoying the quality time with her family.
She added: "Maia and I go to the movies and the theatre together - we're very close.
"But we don't go shopping together. You can't go shopping with a 17 year old.
"We don't want telly together either anymore, because Maia likes watching TV on her computer and I like a proper TV screen."

Helen Flanagan trying to be less sexy

Helen Flanagan is trying to look less sexy.
The 23-year-old star, who stunned viewers with her curvaceous figure in the jungle on 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!', is eager to look more natural and has decided to stop wearing lots of make-up, fake nails and other enhancing accessories.
She revealed: "I'm scaling back my sexy look. I used to wear lots of make-up, fake tan and fake eyelashes, but I've decided that less is definitely more. Now I love to use make-up to contour my face and make the most of my natural features."
The former 'Coronation Street' actress is also hoping to get back into acting after largely opting for modelling and reality TV since quitting the ITV soap two years ago.
She added to Closer magazine: "I'm really happy having a change of pace with Scott [Sinclair, Helen's boyfriend], but it's still my dream to appear on stage and do a play. I'd love to get stuck into theatre and prove that I can be a serious actress. It's going to happen!"

Matthew Davies evicted from ‘Big Brother’

Matthew Davies has become the fourth housemate to be evicted from 'Big Brother.'
The 23-year-old media graduate, who describes himself as a "prima donna and drama queen," left the house to a mixed response from the crowd tonight (04.07.14), but insisted he wasn't surprised by the result.
Upon leaving the Channel 5 reality TV series, the controversial contestant told host Emma Willis: "I don't know why I'm doing this."
He also said it was "strange" to be out and admitted he had been a "bit bitter" on the show.
He explained: "I think a lot of them are really likeable in the house...and I was quite negative...I knew I was going to be up...I was a bit bitter."
Asked about his tension with fellow housemate Helen Wood, he said: "I don't like her, she's vile. I didn't want to live with her to be honest."
He added: "She's a nightmare, she's always having a go at someone, she's always shouting."
Matthew also slated the remaining contestants, saying: "There's no level of intellectually stimulating conversation."
The bookies previously predicted male model Ash Harrison would lose the public vote tonight.

Jessica Wright tells TOWIE bosses to ‘listen up’

Jessica Wright thinks 'The Only Way is Essex' bosses need to "listen up" and give her more screen time.
The 28-year-old reality star has hit out at the lack of airtime given to her and boyfriend Ricky Rayment and has urged producers to pay attention to their "massive fan base" who want to see more of them on the ITV2 show.
She said: "With 'TOWIE' there are a lot of characters and storylines so I think they struggle to fit everyone in. We have our time like we do in every series. But we do have a massive fan base which is really sweet. They do go crazy when we're not on it."
Jessica added to OK! Online: "Maybe 'TOWIE' need to start listening up."
The budding singer has even hinted she and Ricky would quit 'TOWIE' for their own spin-off show, but they would only make the leap if their fans were interested.
She said: "It would be hilarious if we did because our lives are pretty crazy."
Ricky added: "We'd absolutely love one but it's whether the fans want it. We'll have to do a survey and find out."

Lauren Pope dating Lewis Bloor

Lauren Pope and Lewis Bloor are dating.
'The Only Way Is Essex' stars - who were seen flirting on the latest episode of the ITV2 show on Wednesday (02.07.14) - have reportedly been enjoying a secret fling for weeks after initially locking lips in Marbella, Spain, last month.
A source told heat magazine: "Lewis has always fancied Lauren, but thought she wasn't interested. In Marbs, he made out he was keen on [new girls] Robyn Althasen and Imogen Leaver, but then he and Lauren started getting close - he made a real effort to get her attention. And it worked.
"They were out one night, started flirting and ended up having a kiss. They're really keen on each other."
While sparks are definitely flying between them, the ITV2 reality stars have been reluctant to go public with their romance for fear of ruining things.
An insider said: "Lauren is worried about being seven years older than him, but he's making every effort to be super -charming and show her it doesn't matter. He likes that she's more mature.
"They're keeping a low profile because they don't want to ruin things. As soon as things are on telly, they get complicated. Lauren was embarrassed when it all went wrong with Mario [Falcone] last year and doesn't want that to happen again."

Kevin Kennedy wants Corrie return for Curly

Kevin Kennedy wants to return to 'Coronation Street'.
The 52-year-old actor is eager to reprise his role as loveable Curly Watts - the character he played for 20 years from 1983 to 2003 - after a visit to the soap's old set at Granada Studios in Manchester brought back lots of old memories.
Kevin is currently lending his support to the 'Corrie' set tour which allows fans to walk down the iconic cobbles used in the show until its move to a new state-of-the-art set in Salford, Greater Manchester.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News newspaper, Kevin - who now lives in Brighton - said: "The whole experience makes you a bit homesick really. Not just for Weatherfield but for Manchester.
"And it's very gratifying to know the fans still remember me and what we did here, it's joyful. It's no secret I'd love to do some more but as far as I know, there are no plans at the moment.
"I have a great relationship with 'Coronation Street' and always have and if the opportunity arises then I'll be very happy if it doesn't then that's life."
Soap fans adored Curly's romance with Raquel Watts (Sarah Lancashire) and the couple were one of Corrie's best-loved pairings.
Curly left Weatherfield in 2003 to start a new life in Newcastle with his second wife, Emma.

Rolf Harris jailed for five years, nine months

Rolf Harris has been jailed for five years and nine months after being found guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault.
The 84-year-old TV presenter was convicted of attacking four underage girls, including the friend of his daughter Bindi Nicholls, between 1968 and 1986 on Monday (30.06.14), and his sentencing took place at London's Southwark Crown Court this afternoon (04.07.14).
Mr Justice Sweeney told Rolf: "You have shown no remorse for your crimes at all. Your reputation lies in ruins, you have been stripped of your honours, but you have no one to blame but yourself."
In a long-running and emotional seven-week trial, a jury heard how Harris had a "dark side" behind what the prosecution described as his "friendly and lovable exterior".
The 'Animal Hospital' star strenuously denied sexually assaulting a friend of his daughter's as a teenager, but conceded he did have a relationship with the woman - now 40 - in her adult years.
The unidentified female accused Harris of abusing her from the age of 13 and claims the TV star performed a sex act on her at his home in Bray, Berkshire, and didn't seem troubled by the fact Bindi was asleep nearby.
Harris was first questioned by police in November 2012 and his name was made public in April 2013.
He was re-arrested and questioned over further alleged sexual offences last August, before the case went to trial in April.

Vincent Ebrahim cast in Hollyoaks

Vincent Ebrahim has been cast as a villain in 'Hollyoaks'.
'The Kumars at No. 42' actor, famed for playing money-obsessed father Ashwin on the sitcom, has joined the Channel 4 soap as an antagonist called Big Bob.
The character will be introduced as gangster Trevor Royle's (Greg Wood) former inmate, who helped him out by protecting fellow prison dweller John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) when he was locked up for assaulting Robbie Roscoe (Charlie Wernham).
But now corrupt Big Bob is back in town and wants to claim a favour from Trevor in return.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Just when Trevor and Grace think they are getting their lives back on track, Big Bob arrives. He's trouble and has a hold over Trevor that will cause massive problems."
Vincent, who is also known for his roles in 'Ideal', 'The Old Guys' and 'Meet the Magoons', is set to make his grand entrance in August.
The news comes after it was revealed 'Hollyoaks' was going to see another "game-changing" storyline in the form of Lindsey Butterfield falling pregnant.
The junior doctor, played by Sophie Austin, will discover she's expecting a baby later this month - but viewers will be left wondering if the father is her on/off boyfriend Joe Roscoe (Ayden Callaghan) or his brother Freddie (Charlie Clapham).

James Lock to return to TOWIE

James Lock will return to TOWIE this Sunday (06.07.14).
The reality TV star - who was suspended from the hit ITV2 show in April after he was charged with the possession of the class C drug ketamine - is set to return to the series this week after the matter was settled in court.
The 27-year-old was given a conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 court costs by the magistrates, according to The Sun newspaper.
A source said: "The decision was made that James will be allowed to return to filming now that the matter has been dealt with by the courts.
"James was suspended without pay and has shown great remorse.
"This will be acknowledged on screen upon his return to the show."
James - known as Lockie - isn't the only star of TOWIE to have found themselves subject to drug use allegations this year.
Mario Falcone's future on the show remains uncertain after he was caught on camera allegedly snorting cocaine and was subsequently suspended from filming and barred from 'The Only Way Is Marbs' specials.
However, prior to the allegations Mario had hinted at plans to leave the show.
He said: "I'm getting a bit bored to be honest."
