Duncan Bannatyne quits Dragons’ Den

Duncan Bannatyne has quit 'Dragons' Den'.
The 65-year-old health club mogul has announced he is to leave the hit BBC Two programme after 12 series to concentrate on "other business commitments".
He said in a statement: "I have had the time of my life as a Dragon, I have made numerous investments and taken part in a landmark TV programme that has promoted entrepreneurship to an entire generation of Britons.
"However, after the 2014 recordings I do not plan to make any further investments on the programme so I thought it fair to ask producers to offer my seat to somebody else. There are only so many times I can say 'I'm out'."
Duncan will bow out of the show after the upcoming 12th series, which will begin later this month.
He added: "The series that is about to be transmitted is my final season and I'm delighted that it is full of exciting, high quality pitches. I have made a number of investments and it really is must-see business TV."
The businessman's departure leaves Peter Jones as the only original Dragon left on the panel.
Duncan has made an estimated £2 million worth of investments during his time on the show.

Ollie Locke replaces Keiran Hayler in strip group

Ollie Locke has replaced Katie Price's cheating husband Kieran Hayler in a strip group.
The former 'Made In Chelsea' star joined the all-male troupe Adonis Cabaret after Kieran left the group following revelations he had been unfaithful to his pregnant wife Katie, 36.
He told Heat magazine: "I'm really excited. They approached me about getting up on stage and being camp and ridiculous, like I am, so it's worked out quite nicely.
"I'm hosting the shows, not stripping, but I think most nights I'm going to end up in a gold thong."
The 27-year-old - who left the hit reality show last August - admitted he doesn't think he has a good body and has been inspired to get into shape by the strip group
However, while they been his inspiration, he won't be taking his fitness regime to a similar extreme.
He explained: "It's weird. I'm always naked [on photo shoots], and my body's not even good. My willy won't be out though.
"They've inspired me, and I'd love to look like them. But these guys have real dedication. And, actually, if I looked like that, it would be ridiculous."

Foxes: Peter Capaldi is better looking than Matt Smith

Foxes thinks new 'Doctor Who' actor Peter Capaldi is better looking than his predecessor Matt Smith.
The 25-year-old singer will make a cameo in the upcoming series of the science fiction favourite, and she has admitted she finds the new Time Lord more attractive than his former self.
After refusing to confirm whether they filmed any scenes together, she told Digital Spy: "I love him though.
"He's such a charmer. I was asked who I fancy between Matt and him and I was like, 'Peter Capaldi!'"
The 'Let Go For Tonight' hitmaker couldn't reveal whether her character would be a human or an alien, but she did insist she thought she was "nice".
She said: "I can't say! I'm not playing a villain. I think I'm nice in the show."
Talking about the song she has written for the show, Foxes admitted fans will hear her out of her "comfort zone" when she performs the track during the episode.
She added: "I've done a song for 'Doctor Who', and it's a little bit different from what I'd usually do. "It was really nice to be out of my comfort zone.
"I'm singing it on the episode ... It's one of those things where I wouldn't say no [to releasing it after it airs] but I don't really know yet."

Geordie Shore banned from Blackpool

'Geordie Shore' has been banned from filming in Blackpool.
The cast of the reality TV show won't be allowed to bring their wild antics to the UK seaside resort, with the local council decided to snub their request.
Councillor Graham Cain, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Leisure, told the Blackpool Gazette: "On a daily basis we receive requests from production companies wishing to film in Blackpool.
"As a town that relies on tourism we have to be careful about allowing any programmes to film in the resort which may have a detrimental effect on the town's
economy.
"We prefer to work with companies that appeal to our target market of families and do so on a regular basis. All requests are carefully considered but on this occasion we chose to refuse Lime Pictures' application for permission."
It is said the cast member's behaviour was considered "less than savoury" and "off message" for the popular seaside destination.
Show bosses were hoping to film a night out in Blackpool as part of the programme's ninth series, but they will have to find another setting for the episodes.

Vernon Kay to host heart-racing quiz show

Vernon Kay is set to host a brand new daytime quiz show.
The presenter will front ITV's new programme '1,000 Heartbeats', an intense competition which sees contestants battling their own heartbeat to win a money prize.
According to Broadcast, each competitor will be trying to keep it cool as their heart rate gets measured throughout the show - and the faster it beats, the less time they have to answer questions in the quiz.
They will begin the game with 1,000 heartbeats, with each one reducing their time allowance, and Vernon is excited to take on such a "brilliant concept".
He added: "The contestants are going to have to stay calm under real pressure to win big. I can't wait to start recording the shows."
While an air date for the new show hasn't been set yet, it will be produced by Dan Baldwin - Holly Willoughby's husband - who claimed the quiz master "fell in love" with it immediately.
He said: "Vernon is a hugely successful primetime star and capturing him was a real coup. He fell in love with '1,000 Heartbeats' as soon as we pitched it to him."

Samia Ghadie says Alan Halsall was horrified when they had to kiss

Samia Ghadie says Alan Halsall was horrified when they had to kiss on camera.
The 'Coronation Street' actress - who plays Maria Connor in the soap - is very close friends with the actor, and he felt incredibly awkward when she had to lock lips on screen.
She told OK! magazine: "Alan and I have known each other since we were babies. It's always funny when I have to try and kiss him because he absolutely does not want to go anywhere near me. I'm like a sister to him, so it's just so wrong.
"We had this scene where [his character Tyrone Dobbs] had to pull back from me kissing him and Alan literally leapt off the sofa.
"They shouted, 'Cut' and I was like, 'Could you have moved back any quicker - am I that repulsive?' He said, 'I'm sorry, it just feels wrong.' "
Meanwhile, Samia insisted Maria is now over both Tyrone and former boyfriend Marcus Dent and is excited about a new relationship.
She said: "She turned into a complete bunny boiler over Tyrone, she went crazy.
"She's back from Cyprus now, she makes her peace with Marcus before he goes, then I hear there's a new love interest coming along in the not-too-distant future with someone completely different."

Doctor Who scripts leak

BBC bosses have pleaded with fans not to reveal plot spoilers from the new series of 'Doctor Who' after five scripts leaked online.
BBC Worldwide has apologised to viewers of the hit sci-fi drama, which will return to screens next month, following a shocking security breach.
According to RadioTimes.com, it's thought the scripts for the first five episodes were leaked when they were sent to BBC Worldwide's Latin American headquarters in Miami for translation ahead of transmission.
BBC Worldwide said in a statement: "BBC Worldwide is currently investigating a security issue around 'Doctor Who' Series 8 where unfinished material has inadvertently been made public. We deeply regret this and apologise to all the show's fans, the BBC and the cast and crew who have worked tirelessly making the series.
"We would like to make a plea to anyone who might have any of this material and spoilers associated with it not to share it with a wider audience so that everyone can enjoy the show as it should be seen when it launches. We know only too well that 'Doctor Who' fans are the best in the world and we thank them for their help with this and their continued loyalty."
'Doctor Who' will begin its eighth series on BBC One next month and the first episode is expected to be transmitted globally at the same time.

Coronation Street’s Kylie Platt for drugs storyline

Coronation Street's Kylie Platt is to become embroiled in a drugs storyline.
The outspoken wife of David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) - played by Paula Lane - is to become involved in a drugs scandal when her son Max is diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), as rather than giving her son the medicine prescribed by doctors to control his behaviour, Kylie will be seen taking the pills herself.
Corrie producer Stuart Blackburn told the Daily Star newspaper: "Over the weeks we see a real change in Max's behaviour and what we are going to learn is that he is suffering from ADHD.
"We have done a lot of research on this and it is going to take us to a point where Max is going to be put on medication.
"Kylie hits a really low point. She is drained and in that moment of madness she takes Max's medication.
"She is utterly ashamed and husband David is disgusted when he finds out. This is, out of all the bad decisions Kylie has made, the worst one ever. It is going to have a devastating effect on her, her health and those around her, and it is going to bring real trouble to the Platt household."
Paula previously announced she would be leaving 'Coronation Street' before Christmas to go on maternity leave and insisted she'd told Stuart to make sure she went out with a bang.
She explained: "Kylie's going to stay wild. I said to Stuart I'm ready for that because I've had a quiet six months. I'm not going to let it hinder me."
