Geordie Shore confirmed for series nine

'Geordie Shore' has been confirmed for series nine.
MTV have decided to renew the reality TV show for another series - even before the eighth has aired - which will see the cast travel to Paris, France, to party.
Charlotte Crosby said: "I'm so excited about being in the new series (nine) of 'Geordie Shore'. (In series 8) Relationships sparked out of nowhere ... so I can't wait to see how things unravel and who hooks up with who this time around!"
Further filming destinations are yet to be announced for the new series but one place the group - including hunky newcomers Kyle Christie and Aaron Chalmers - won't be heading is Blackpool after they were banned from shooting their wild antics at the UK seaside resort.
Councillor Graham Cain, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Leisure, said previously: "As a town that relies on tourism we have to be careful about allowing any programmes to film in the resort which may have a detrimental effect on the town's
economy.
"We prefer to work with companies that appeal to our target market of families and do so on a regular basis."
Meanwhile, series eight, which was filmed in their native Newcastle, is set to hit screens on July 22.

Hollyoaks’ Alex Fletcher worried about rape storyline

'Hollyoaks' star Alex Fletcher is worried about portraying her role in the Finn O'Connor rape storyline.
The actress's alter-ego Diane O'Connor is currently unaware that her son Finn (Keith Rice) sexually assaulted his teacher John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) and she admits she's concerned about how her character will react when the truth finally comes out.
Speaking to SoapSquawk.com, the 38-year-old star said: "It's going to be tough because how do you begin to research how Diane would fell when all that comes out? ... Hopefully when all that comes out they will get someone in to help me like they did with James and Keith before the storyline started. I'm a bit scared of it because it's going to be massive when it finally all comes to a head and there's a lot of pressure because the storyline has been brilliant from the very start."
The blonde beauty also believes the show's boss Bryan Kirkwood is responsible for putting the programme back in competition with other shows such as 'EastEnders', 'Coronation Street' and 'Emmerdale'.
she explained: "Bryan is working so far in the future, which he has to because there's so much happening, he's secured his main families. He's built a show that's very family-based but everyone is interlinked in some way, which is brilliant ... There was a time when I first joined the show that it wasn't doing so well in the ratings, so to see it doing so well now and everyone's working so hard, it's brilliant. We've got it back to where it should be."

Olly Murs: X Factor should find fresh stars

Olly Murs thinks 'The X Factor' needs to find fresh talent.
The 'Dear Darlin' singer - who was runner-up on the 2009 series - doesn't think bosses should try to replicate the success of past contestants and concentrate on finding new, talented singers.
His comments come after it emerged talent scouts had been issued a 'shopping list' to find contestants who resemble past acts such as Olly, Stacey Solomon, Cher Lloyd and Wagner.
Olly told The Sun newspaper: "As long as they don't find another me, they can find whoever they want."
The 30-year-old star also believes that the new series, which will see the return of Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole to the judging panel, needs to focus on the talent and not be all about the judges.
He explained: "Mr X Factor is back, Mrs X Factor is back. I think it's going to be an amazing show.
"Mel B is going to bring the fire and Louis [Walsh], as always, is going to be the cheeky sort of Irish man in the corner having a good time.
"Most importantly, like I say every year, it's not about the quality of the judging panel, it's about the talent. I think Simon is not really bothered about what people say about the judging, he's more bothered about finding top talent."

Downton stars worried about weight

The stars of 'Downton Abbey' have been told to watch their weight.
Show creator Julian Fellowes has admitted the array of sandwiches laid out for the cast and crew can be very tempting, but the show's stars have asked for catering to be cut back so they don't outgrow their costumes.
Julian's quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: "The feeling is there's not a better egg sandwich in England.
"But the cast have asked to cut down on supplies so they can't be tempted.
"Between takes and reshoots some actors were munching through a loaf's worth of sarnies."
Actor Rob James-Collier, who plays cunning footman Thomas Barrow in the ITV period drama, added: "The biggest challenge is keeping the weight off between scenes."
'Downton Abbey' is currently filming its fifth series - to air later this year - and Julian recently revealed a sixth series is in the works.
He said: "I would be amazed if there wasn't another series after [this one].
"I don't know yet if there is a season six ... it's not going to go on forever."
'Downton' was among the shows to earn numerous Primetime Emmy Award nominations yesterday (10.07.14), including Best Drama Series.
Michelle Dockery, Dame Maggie Smith, Joanne Froggatt and Jim Carter all earned acting nominations also.

Roy Barraclough doesn’t watch Corrie

'Coronation Street' legend Roy Barraclough thinks the show has become humourless.
The 78-year-old actor, who played Alec Gilroy for 22 years before his departure from the soap in 1998, has hit out at the abundance of sensational storylines in soaps and no longer watches the show that made him a household name.
He said: "I don't watch the show, it has changed so much now from what it was. It doesn't have a hold on me like it used to. The characters have changed and it has drifted away from what it used to be - there was a lot of comedy then.
"In fact I don't watch any of the soaps. They all follow each other, one outdoing the other. If one has a rape, the other has a rape. It's a shame."
Roy believes it might be a "good thing" if soaps like 'Corrie' and 'EastEnders' were to go off air and he now prefers to watch compelling dramas.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "There are very good series that the BBC put out like 'Last Tango In Halifax'. Things like that are very good, they are excellent."

Sanjeev Bhaskar to appear in Doctor Who

Sanjeev Bhaskar is to appear in 'Doctor Who'.
The 50-year-old comedian - who is best known for starring in 'Goodness Gracious Me' and 'The Kumars at No. 42' - will play an "important" role in the final episode of the new series, reports the Daily Star newspaper.
Sanjeev has previously lent his voice to 'Doctor Who' audio stories but this marks his first time appearing in the TV show.
He said: "I'm thrilled to have made a small contribution to - and now be part of - the Doctor Who universe. Another dream box ticked!"
Show boss Steven Moffat added: "I'm completely thrilled he is coming to the aid of the Doctor. The danger is never deadlier than in a finale episode, and the Time Lord is certainly going to need all the help he can get!"
The new series of 'Doctor Who' will see Peter Capaldi take over the title role and he'll be joined by a host of famous guest stars including Frank Skinner, 'Line of Duty' actress Keeley Hawes and singer Foxes.
Earlier this week, BBC bosses pleaded with fans not to spoil the new series after the scripts for the first five episodes leaked online.

Amanda Holden for This Morning role?

Amanda Holden will reportedly fill in for Holly Willoughby on 'This Morning'.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge is set to appear alongside Phillip Schofield on the popular ITV daytime show when Holly, 33, goes on maternity leave, beating the likes of Christine Bleakley and Emma Willis to the job.
A source said: "Amanda is a great fit for the This Morning audience.
"Her warmth, charisma and down-to-earth attitude mean viewers relate to her."
Irish beauty Christine had been considered the hot favourite to take over for Holly, who is expected to be away for up to a year to welcome her third child, after filling in for both the blonde beauty and Phillip in the past.
ITV bosses are still considering giving her a role on the show, possibly covering for Amanda, 43, when she's busy filming 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions early next year.
The insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It is hoped that Christine will be in the mix at some point."
It was previously reported that Phillip, 52, was eager for his pal Christine, 35, to take the job as they've formed a close bond from their time working together on 'Dancing on Ice'.
Holly and Phillip will both take their annual summer break and Holly's maternity leave is expected to start in September, which is when Amanda will join the show.

Denise van Outen gives Fearne Cotton marriage advice

Denise van Outen says Fearne Cotton will "have many happy years" with her new husband.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' star has given her advice to the blonde beauty - who got married to Jesse Wood last week - and urged her to "spend lots of time" with her man, the son of Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie.
Speaking to fellow radio presenter Neil Fox on the 'Magic FM Breakfast Show', she said: "Obviously, it's important to just spend lots of time together, and if it does get wrong, stay friends.
"I mean, that's the thing, you know - who knows what the future holds for anybody. I know they'll have many happy years together."
Denise's advice about staying close to an ex-partner is one she has applied to her own life following her split from Lee Mead last summer after four years of marriage.
She is still "very good friends" with her former flame and revealed she is now ready to start dating again.
She added: "I'm back on the dating scene ... We're very good friends.
"It's amazing. We've come out of it with a fantastic friendship. It's all good".

Billie Faiers welcomes baby daughter

Billie Faiers has given birth to a baby girl.
The 'Only Was is Essex' star, 24, and her fiancé Greg Shepherd welcomed their daughter - their first child together - into the world today (10.07.14).
The blonde beauty announced the happy news on her Twitter account this afternoon, telling her fans: "We are so excited to announce the birth of our beautiful baby girl ... We are so happy and the proudest mummy and daddy in the world (sic)."
Billie's sister Sam - who left the ITV show last year - was the first to congratulate the couple on their new arrival and took the opportunity to boast about her little niece.
She tweeted: "Am the proudest auntie in the whole world my baby niece is perfect . Congratulations @BillieFaiers & @GregShepherd_ (sic)."
Meanwhile, Billie revealed she was overdue last weekend and tweeted a photograph of her on a walk in the hope that exercise would kick start her labour.
She accompanied the snap with the caption: "Out for a nice long walk... Get this baby moving .. #overdue (sic)."
The Minnie's Boutique owner announced she was expecting a baby in January, but she admitted at the time that she was initially too nervous to do a pregnancy test.
She said previously: "In my head I knew I was pregnant because I missed my period, which never happens, but I was too nervous to do the pregnancy test because suddenly my whole life was about to change."
