Charlie Condou: Fans bug me in toilet

Charlie Condou gets asked for autographs whilst using the toilet.
The 41-year-old actor, who plays midwife Marcus Dent on 'Coronation Street', has revealed that fans of the soap opera often ask him for his signature at inopportune times, including trips to the loo.
Charlie lamented to Attitude magazine: "I've been asked for a picture while trying to deal with my two year old having a tantrum or trying to wolf down a sandwich in my only 10 minute break.
"I've had people interrupt me on the phone or even at the urinal - seriously."
However, the actor doesn't act like a diva when approached by an excited fan and always takes a moment to chat or give them a quick autograph.
He said: "I always make time. It only takes a minute. Those people are the reason I have a job I adore."
Charlie now has some time to himself, though, as he exits 'Corrie' this week following the breakdown of Marcus' relationship with Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley).
The soap star quit his role to spend more time with his two children and his partner Cameron Laux.

Big Brother scraps Jenny Thompson

'Big Brother' producers have scrapped plans to introduce Jenny Thompson into the house.
The former prostitute - who infamously had a threesome with current housemate Helen Wood and football ace Wayne Rooney - was hotly tipped to enter the famous reality TV house as a late entrant, but bosses now fear she would spark a bloodbath if she is reunited with friend-turned-rival Helen.
Three new housemates are set to join the Channel 5 show tonight (14.07.14) and Jenny will be stuck watching the action from her sofa as a singer, a stripper and a raunchy Sikh are thrown into the mix.
The news is a big blow to the 25 year old, who recently revealed that she is keen to get into the house to give Helen a piece of her mind.
She said: "I want to jump out and see her face when I tell everyone what a bullying bitch she is and how the public all hate her."
The confrontation would have made for some eye-catching TV, but producers reasoned that the bad blood could have damaged the show's reputation beyond repair.
The pair fell out in 2010 when Jenny chose to sell her story about their three-way romp with Wayne.

Christine Bleakley’s life ‘dictated’ by Frank Lampard’s career

Christine Bleakley says her life is "dictated" by her fiancé Frank Lampard's football career.
The 35-year-old beauty, who has been engaged to the soccer ace for three years, admits she isn't sure what will happen if Frank - who left London club Chelsea FC after 13 years in June - decides to play for an international team, as has been rumoured.
She said: "The honest truth is, I can't answer that. It's something I've never, ever anticipated, if I'm honest."
The 'Dancing on Ice' and 'This Morning' co-host also explained it was a "big enough deal" to move from her native Northern Island to London, so she isn't sure she could move to another part of the world with Frank.
She told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "We've just moved into our house [in London] and all sorts. There are so many other things behind the scenes that nobody knows about.
"Our lives are very much dictated by what Frank wants to do football-wise, so I really, really don't know. It's still very much up in the air. God only knows what's going to happen now."

The Face axed by Sky Living

'The Face' has been axed by Sky Living after one series.
Naomi Campbell's modelling competition will not return for a second run due to poor ratings and a high budget.
'The Face', which also stars supermodels Erin O'Connor and Caroline Winberg, launched to a lowly 132,000 viewers last September and Sky bosses aren't willing to fund another series of the expensive reality show.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "Sky Living is spending the money on new dramas and comedies instead."
Naomi, 44, had high hopes her show - which features three models mentoring teams of aspiring wannabes - would be a huge hit and Sky Living expressed initial faith in the show by axing its other modelling competition, 'Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model', after nine series in favour of the fresh format.
The source added: "This is a massive blow for Naomi because 'The Face' has been her 100 per cent focus.
"She genuinely believed it would become a format that would stick around in the same way 'Next Top Model' and 'The X Factor' have. Dropping the show after just one series is humiliating for her."
Naomi can take some solace in the fact 'The Face' is still on air in America and Australia.

Carol Vorderman quits Loose Women

Carol Vorderman has quit 'Loose Women'.
The 53-year-old presenter - who shares anchor duties with Andrea McLean, Ruth Langsford and Kaye Adams - has decided to leave the ITV daytime talk show after three years to concentrate on other TV projects and fly around the world for charity.
The budding pilot admits she has struggled to commit to the show in the last year because she's in deep training for her flight around the world and handed in her notice to ITV bosses last week after much deliberation.
Carol explained: "I am getting into the hard work for my planning and training to go round the world next year.
"In the first two years on 'Loose', I did over 100 days a year, but in the last year I have only managed just over 20 days because I kept having to cancel days due to other work commitments.
"I tried appearing just once a week up until Christmas and I just couldn't do it.
"I write a lot of educational books and have a big maths website so my time is spent with those too.
"I like to do things properly and it's unfair to commit to something half-heartedly so I said to myself, 'It's make you mind up time, Vorderman' and made my decision."
The former 'Countdown' maths wizard insists she will be back on TV screens soon with some "interesting" new projects, but says she will miss the buzz of doing live TV and her 'Loose Women' co-hosts.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'll miss working with Jane Moore, Coleen Nolan and Nadia Sawalha and the others."

Jennie McAlpine: Corrie hasn’t prepared me for baby

Jennie McAlpine says 'Coronation Street' hasn't prepared her for motherhood.
The pregnant actress - whose character Fiz Stape is mother to baby Hope and stepmother to little Ruby on the soap - admits playing a mum on the show isn't sufficient preparation for becoming one in real life.
She explained: "I love them, they are adorable. We have twins who play baby Hope and there is one baby Ruby.
"I know people say it is practice, but I'm literally grabbing them for 10 minutes and then handing them back to their mum. I know I won't be doing that in a few months, in real life I will have to keep hold of this one."
Jennie also revealed she's been lucky enough to miss out on morning sickness so far.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I feel good. I feel glowing. I'm waiting for the opposite to happen. But because I'm still working I haven't had time to worry about that just yet."
The 30-year-old star - who is expecting her first child with partner Chris Farr - says producers have been very accommodating by allowing her to hide her growing baby bump with various props while filming.
She said: "I work behind a sewing machine or I'm always propping the bar up - so there are lots of things I can hide behind to cover up the baby bump."

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford’s happy marriage

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford say professional chemistry is key to off-screen happiness.
The couple, who are to assume full-time hosting duties on 'This Morning' today (14.07.14) while Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby take their annual summer leave, claim that working together throughout the summer is healthy for their marriage, which appears to be as strong and happy as ever.
Ruth, 54, gushed to The Sun newspaper: "People say, 'How do you put up with each other every day?' But, actually, I quite like seeing him!
"It's nice to spend that time together because we don't spend a lot of time together, which is probably why we're still married."
Ruth further revealed that despite being married to Eamonn, 54, for four years her attraction to him has not waned at all.
In fact, the presenter recently caught herself admiring a man from a distance in a hotel bar - only to realise that it was her husband.
She explained: "I walked into a room recently and this man was sitting there with his sunglasses on and I thought, 'Oh he's hot!' and it was Eamonn reading his paper.
"For a second I hadn't realised it was my husband."

Hetti Bywater for guest role in Death in Paradise

Hetti Bywater is to appear in 'Death in Paradise'.
The former 'EastEnders' actress - who was killed off in the BBC One soap earlier this year - could be set for another gruesome murder scene in the channel's popular crime comedy-drama.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Hetti is guest starring in a murder mystery show, most of our guest stars die. Or are murderers!
"We're not saying which one she'll be, viewers will just have to wait to find out."
BBC bosses are said to have lined up a number of guest stars for the upcoming fourth series of the drama, which stars former 'My Family' funny-man Kris Marshall as clumsy but brilliant Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman.
Natalie Gumede - who played the abusive Kirsty Soames in 'Coronation Street' - will also appear along with former 'Downton Abbey' housemaid Amy Nuttall, Outnumbered's Tyger Drew-Honey, 'Broadchurch' star Will Mellor and The Fast Show's Simon Day.
The new series of 'Death in Paradise' will see Humphrey struggle to contain his feelings for Detective Superintendent Camille Bordey (Sara Martins), while Officer Dwayne Myers (Danny John-Jules) will attempt to run the police station by himself following the departure of Sergeant Fidel Best (Gary Carr).
The drama - which is filmed in the Caribbean islands of Guadeloupe but is set on the fictional island of Saint Marie - will also welcome French actress Josephine Jobert as Sergeant Florence Cassell in the new series, which will air in early 2015.

Kate Humble: Stripping off outdoors is liberating

Kate Humble has urged everyone to try stripping off naked in the outdoors.
The 'Lambing Live' presenter revealed getting naked whilst holidaying in the Wakhi region of Afghanistan made her feel liberated and "at one with nature".
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I can't explain it, but I do urge you to give it a go.
"There are certain places in the world that are just very beautiful and there's something celebratory and primeval about just taking off all your clothes and having a dance."
Kate - who is busy living with nomads in Mongolia for a new series - said the most important thing for her is that she's remembered as a decent human being.
And despite getting attention from "naturalists" claiming she's one of them, she added it's just something she likes to do on her own.
She said: "I get nice tweets from naturalists saying 'Hooray, you're one of us', but I'm really not.
"It's just one of those things that I like to do when I'm on my own. All I would say is try it - just not in the middle of Oxford Street!"
Kate is leading the 2014 Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project, a campaign to keep Britain's beaches barefoot-friendly this summer. For info visit Barefootwine.co.uk
