Lydia Bright accused of faking Arg romance

Lydia Bright has been accused of faking her romance with James 'Arg' Argent.
'The Only Way is Essex' star - who recently returned to the show after quitting in 2012 - has only reignited her relationship with Arg in order to get back on the hit ITV2 show, it's claimed.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The truth is she's not into him at all. She regretted quitting and they are a power couple.
"Everyone loves the on/off drama of their romance. She has a mortgage, a car to keep and her business to run."
On Sunday (20.07.14), viewers watched as Arg and Lydia rekindled their romance by sleeping together after a night out.
The fashion designer - who broke up with Arg in 2012 after discovering that he had been unfaithful - admitted to her mum Debbie Douglas that she was unsure if she wanted to make things official with her ex-boyfriend.
The 'TOWIE' star later told Arg she didn't want to lead him on by attending their mutual friend's wedding together.
Lydia explained: "I don't want your head to run away and start planning a future together when my head isn't there yet."
However, Arg didn't appear to be listening as he told co-star Lewis Bloor: "I never thought I was going to get [Lydia] back. I'm so happy but I'm so overwhelmed by it.
"For the past two years I didn't think I stood a chance. I'm scared that I'm dangerously in love."

Katherine Parkison backs all-male panel shows

Katherine Parkinson says men are better than women at panel shows.
The 'IT crowd' actress argues that as the concept of team-led comedy quiz shows was developed by men, they are better suited to appearing on programmes such as 'Mock the Week'..
She told Radio Times: "The format was invented by men, like the stand-up format, and men excel most at it.
"I know producers try to invite women on. But we don't feel it's a natural fit for our abilities. We can't ignore the difference between sexes when it comes to humour. With men it's spikier."
The decision to ban all-male panel shows on the BBC was made in February by television controller Danny Cohen.
The controversial move has been backed by comedian Rufus Hound, who thinks all-male panel shows "should be a thing of the past".
Hound appeared as a panellist on 'Celebrity Juice' from 2008 to 2012 and believes there are plenty of funny women who can entertain TV audiences.
He previously said: "Panel shows often set out a combative premise because, traditionally, men like the feeling of a fight, so the nature of those shows may have to change to allow women the tools to be as incredibly funny as they are."

Emmerdale’s Dan to leave Kerry at altar?

Emmerdale's Dan Spencer may leave Kerry Wyatt at the altar.
Viewers will be left guessing whether the soap couple, whose wedding airs this week, will actually tie the knot after Dan - played by Liam Fox - discovers Kerry (Laura Norton) kissed his brother Daz (Mark Jordon).
Liam told the Daily Star newspaper: "She's waiting at the church and is not convinced he's going to turn up., she thinks it might be all over and Dan's in his wedding suit but his mind is all over the place. He's just not sure.
"If it goes ahead he's going to have a beautiful, colourful wedding. But if he does, can he ever trust his brother around his wife again? He doesn't know which way to turn."
Another spanner is thrown in the works when Kerry and Dan end up at the local police station on their wedding day.
Dan learns his brother is a conman and has been duping David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden).
Liam said: "At the police station he discovers Daz has already got a police record and puts two and two together and realises what Daz has been up to for the last few weeks."

Mel B gets party warning from X Factor bosses

Mel B has been warned to behave while filming 'The X Factor' in Cancun, Mexico.
The former Spice Girl is being flown to the boozy tourist capital for the Judges Houses' round of this year's competition and show bosses fear the party-loving judge may lead her contestants astray.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Bosses have decided to send Mel to Cancun. She loves a good party and Cancun certainly has that reputation. But her contestants will be told they must behave themselves before they get on their on their flight - and Mel too, of course."
Meanwhile, newly married Cheryl Cole - who secretly wed French restaurant owner Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini earlier this month - is expected to be whisked off to Nice in the south of France with her contestants. Nice is where Cheryl's new spouse is from.
It's not yet known where returning head judge Simon Cowell or Louis Walsh will film their Judges' Houses segments. Producers are said to be considering Bermuda, a popular holiday destination for billionaires, as one option.
'The X Factor' is set to undergo a radical overhaul this year in a bid to boost ratings. Bosses have reportedly axed the controversial flash vote gimmick from the live shows and are even considering bringing in a surprise fifth judge.

Charlotte Crosby is over Gaz

Charlotte Crosby says she's completely over Gary 'Gaz' Beadle.
The 'Geordie Shore' star insists she has no lingering feelings for the lothario and has been happily committed to her boyfriend Mitch Jenkins for over a year.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "We're still friends because we've got to work together.
"I've been with my boyfriend for a year-and-a-half now, so I don't really understand why people think there would be anything there. I'm happy and I'm in love with Mitch, so no - there's really nothing [there for Gaz] and I don't really care.
"Me and Gary are friends and have been friends for a while now."
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old star came face-to-face with another former flame while filming the new series of 'Geordie Shore' as Kyle Christie has joined the cast.
She said: "I was shocked - I got a shock. But when I sat and thought about it, I kind of knew it was coming."
Thankfully, Charlotte's boyfriend wasn't too worried about her being reunited with another ex.
She added: "Mitch doesn't know anything of my past boyfriends, so obviously I had to tell him because it would get brought up in the show. He was fine with it. Obviously he wasn't the happiest he's ever been, but he was okay - it's just something he's got to get on with."
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' champion will soon celebrate her second anniversary with Mitch but she admits she isn't ready to settle down.
Charlotte said: "It's been a year-and-a-half, so I wouldn't say we're going to be getting married and having babies tomorrow, but we are very much in love."
'Geordie Shore' begins tonight (22.07.14) at 10pm on MTV.

Collabro ‘shocked’ by 1D comparisons

Collabro are "shocked" by comparisons between them and One Direction.
The five-piece group - consisting of Michael Auger, Jamie Lambert, Matt Pagan, Richard Hadfield and Thomas Redgrave - are happy to be known as a boy band but were surprised to hear they were being likened to the 'Best Song Ever' band when they appeared on 'Britain's Got Talent'.
Michael said: "I was actually shocked when everyone was comparing us to One Direction. I actually supported One Direction when they came third on 'The X Factor'.
"So it's quite cool to be known as a boy band, but obviously with the Il Divo twist that we're kind of putting forward as well. I think that's our style - musical theatre meets pop and a bit of opera as well."
Collabro won 'BGT' in June despite being a band for just one month before auditioning for the show.
The group admit that they almost didn't try out for the ITV talent competition as they initially planned to go for cruise-liner auditions together.
Appearing on Richard Madeley's BBC Radio 2 show, Jamie explained: "We were going to go for the cruise ships and more corporate stuff and then we thought, 'Why not?' Then a few days before the first audition we sang through 'Stars' and we thought we have to do ['Britain's Got Talent']."

Su Pollard spurns I’m a Celebrity invite

Su Pollard has spurned the opportunity to take part in 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'
Bosses of the popular ITV show had wanted the comedy actress - who is best known for playing Peggy Ollerenshaw in 1980s sitcom 'Hi-De-Hi' - to appear on the next series, but Su admits she is too scared to participate.
The 64-year-old star explained: "It's a great show but I've had to say no. I hate creepy crawlies and spiders and snakes, and I just know that I'd be a screamer that everyone picks on."
She added to the Daily Star newspaper: "I couldn't eat giraffe balls. I couldn't do those trials.
"The campers would end up anorexic by the end of the show."
Su's attention is currently firmly fixed on rehearsing for the role of Maid Marian in a new comedy based on Robin Hood, called 'Ha Ha Ha Hood and The Prince of Leaves', which is to debut in Chelmsford on August 19.
The next series of 'I'm a Celebrity' - the fourteenth in total - is to hit to screens later this year.
Last year's jungle competition was won by former Westlife singer Kian Egan.
Notable contestants included Joey Essex, Amy Willerton and David Emmanuel.

24 could be back for another season

'24' could return for another season.
Peter Rice - CEO of FOX, which airs the hit show in the US - has suggested Kiefer Sutherland could reprise his famous role as Jack Bauer once again following the success of recent miniseries '24: Live Another Day'.
The counter-terrorism drama was revived after a four-year break as a 'limited event series' consisting of 12 episodes.
Talking at a Television Critics Association event on Sunday (20.07.14), Peter enthused: "I loved this year's season of '24', I thought it was fantastic. I've always been a fan and it just twisted and turned, and I could never guess where it was going. We haven't had a specific conversation about it coming back yet. I'm sure that we will in the future."
Peter went on to praise the cast and crew and expressed his belief that '24' still has "many more stories to tell".
He added: "It's a wonderful franchise, Kiefer and Evan [Katz] and Howard [Gordon] and Manny [Coto] did a great job this year.
"So when you look at the show itself, it has many more stories to tell, but I think we have to sit down and talk to the creators about it."
'24' originally aired from 2001 to 2010, earning numerous awards, but ended after eight seasons, each consisting of 24 action-packed episodes.
Kiefer and long-time co-star Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe O'Brian) both returned for the 2014 revival which was filmed in London.

Gracepoint to end in ‘different place’ to Broadchurch

'Gracepoint' will end in a "very different place" to 'Broadchurch'.
Producers have promised the US remake of the murder mystery drama will blaze its own trail, despite the early episodes appearing to be a carbon copy of the ITV show.
Speaking at a Television Critics Association event yesterday (20.07.14), showrunner Dan Futterman explained: "I don't want you to rule anybody out as a suspect. We end in a very different place, which is both exciting for the first season - and what could be a great second season as well."
'Gracepoint' executive producer Carolyn Bernstein revealed the reason the early episodes are so similar to the British version is because she and Dan felt show creator Chris Chibnall's scripts were perfect and didn't want to make unnecessary changes.
She explained: "We did consider starting in a different place for the fist episode, but the first episode of 'Broadchurch' was so well done. Why contort ourselves when that was the smartest way to go?"
But Carolyn went on to "promise" Gracepoint's plot would unravel into fresh storylines that viewers won't see coming.
She added: "As this series progresses, it really diverges. We're not particularly worried about the overlap."
David Tennant reprises his role from 'Broadchurch' - albeit with an American accent - as the show's lead detective. 'Breaking Bad' actress Anna Gunn, Michael Pena, Jacki Weaver and Nick Nolte star alongside him.
