Chris Gascoyne lands £150k panto role

Chris Gascoyne has landed a six-figure deal to star in a Christmas pantomime.
The 'Coronation Street' actor will earn £150,000 for six weeks of work, reportedly more than he earns in a year on the soap, when he stars in a production of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' at Birmingham's Hippodrome later this year after leaving the hit ITV soap.
Chris - who plays cheating alcoholic Peter Barlow - will swap one bad boy role for another as he has been cast as villain Fleshcreep opposite Blue singer Duncan James and 'Loose Women' star Jane McDonald.
The 46-year-old actor's panto deal sees him follow in the footsteps of his on-screen rival Marc Baylis, who has landed a role as Prince Charming in 'Sleeping Beauty' in Bromley, Kent.
A soap source told The Sun newspaper: "There has been a fair bit of banter knocking around.
"It is a real coincidence that both he and Marc are doing panto as their first jobs after leaving the soap but everyone is pleased for them.
"The money is absolutely fantastic for panto and both Chris and Marc will be pocketing more than their annual salaries at 'Corrie' for just a few weeks' work."
Both Chris and Marc will leave 'Coronation Street' as the Tina McIntyre murder mystery comes to an end. While Marc's alter-ego Rob Donovan killed the beautiful barmaid, Peter - who had an affair with Tina - is currently the main suspect in the investigation.

Alison Hammond to join Strictly Come Dancing

Alison Hammond has signed up for 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'This Morning' presenter has reportedly agreed to star on the next series of the BBC ballroom dancing competition and is eager to represent "big girls".
A source told The Sun newspaper: "She came in for her fitting last week and can't wait to get started.
"Alison has always loved 'Strictly' but she never thought it was a possibility until she saw Lisa Riley do so well. So she jumped at the chance this year."
The insider added: "Alison's personality is infectious and the bosses are sure she will be popular. She has the kind of charisma and humour that people love.
"She was genuinely delighted to be asked to join. There is no doubt she will throw everything into her dance training. She could be one of this year's real surprises."
Alison shot to fame on the third series of 'Big Brother' in 2002 but is now best known for interviewing celebrities on ITV's 'This Morning'.
Alison's 'Strictly' role wouldn't be the first time she has taken part in a reality competition as she's previously starred on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get me Out Of Here!', 'Celebrity MasterChef' and 'Celebrity Fit Club'.
Other stars linked to the new series of 'Strictly' include ex-'TOWIE' hunk Mark Wright, Monty Python star Carol Cleveland and celebrity chef Greg Wallace.

EastEnders’ Phil to cheat on Sharon

EastEnders' Phil Mitchell is to cheat on Sharon Rickman.
The Walford hardman will bed former flame Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) in coming weeks behind his fiancée's back - despite trying to move their wedding to an earlier date.
Phil (Steve McFadden) and Shirley will give into their feelings for each other and arrange secret sex sessions around Albert Square. The pair, who had an on/off relationship for years, are both privy to big secrets about each other and Shirley recently admitted she still loves Phil.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Shirley and Phil know everything about each other, good and bad, it's part of their attraction. They feel like they can be themselves with each other.
"Add to that, they are both protecting each other. Phil knows Shirley is really Mick Carter's mum and Shirley knows Phil ordered the attack on The Albert that put Sharon in hospital.
"Now they are having an affair - another lie they are sharing. But how long can they keep it?"
While Phil attempts to juggle romances with both Shirley and Sharon (Letitia Dean), his bar owner fiancée is secretly plotting his downfall after discovering he had her beaten up in May.
Sharon has concocted an elaborate plan to steal all of Phil's money and enlisted the mechanic's former solicitor, the shady Marcus Christie, to help her.

Richard Madeley: Sex is the key to a happy marriage

Richard Madeley believes sex is the key to his happy marriage to Judy Finnigan.
The former 'This Morning' presenter has been married to his co-star wife, Judy, 65, for 28 years and credits their busy sex life for keeping their relationship going strong.
He told blinkbox Books: "I think relationships can evolve to a point in old age where sex becomes less important but I'm 58 not 98.
"In most dynamic marriages sex is a very important component. You can deny that at your peril. One of the reasons that most marriages fail is because there is growing sexual incompatibility. Research shows most happily married people in the '70s and '80s still have a functioning sex life and they should."
Meanwhile, Richard - who recently published his second book 'The Way You Look Tonight' - also revealed he wouldn't shy away from writing a raunchy novel similar to E.L. James' 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
He said: "I really like writing about women. That is probably from doing 13 years on 'This Morning' which has a 60 to 70 per cent [female] audience. So much was clearly angled towards sexuality.
"You couldn't help over 13 years as a bloke to pick up on all kinds of aspects of what it is to be a woman today."

Kimberly Kisselovich fell pregnant on Big Brother

Kimberly Kisselovich suffered an ectopic pregnancy after having sex in the 'Big Brother' house.
The Playboy model shocked viewers of the Channel 5 reality show when she had sex with fellow housemate Steven Goode on national television, and now Kimberly has admitted she did fall pregnant following her on-screen session between the sheets but she has since lost the baby due to medical complications.
The 23-year-old beauty revealed that the "condom split" after their love making, resulting in an ectopic pregnancy, which is when a fertilised egg starts to develop outside of the womb.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Kimberly explained: "In the past 24 hours I've had a diagnosis from the doctor and he's sure that I have had an ectopic pregnancy.
"The doctor said that with the time frame it was definitely Steven's."
Kimberly was forced to leave the 'Big Brother' house after falling ill and was made to stay in hospital for four days, and she has admitted her ectopic pregnancy was the reason behind her quick exit from the show.
She added: "That's why I had so much pain in my pelvic area which I thought was an infection."
Kimberly could potentially face surgery to remove the egg from her fallopian tube and has admitted that she worries about her chances of having a baby in the future.
She said: "I'm really concerned. Steven's speaking to all the doctors - he's really upset.
"The doctor has said there's a chance I won't be able to have children. I'm trying to keep positive because we don't know for certain."
The NHS estimates that almost 11,000 women suffer an ectopic pregnancy every year, with approximately 65 per cent of women successfully falling pregnant within 18 months.

Kym Marsh to move in with new toyboy lover?

Kym Marsh is reportedly moving in with her new boyfriend after just three months of dating.
The 'Coronation Street' star, 38, is determined to take her whirlwind romance with toyboy lover Dan Hooper, 32, to the next level by setting up home with him.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Dan spends about three days a week at Kym's. They've talked about moving in together for good.
"It might seem quick -- but Kym knows what she wants. She is very decisive when her mind is made up."
The brunette beauty has sparked rumours marriage could also be on the cards after she recently admitted she wouldn't "rule out" walking down the aisle for the third time, despite her failed attempts with ex-husbands Jack Ryder and Jamie Lomas in the past.
She said previously: "I absolutely haven't given up on love and I wouldn't rule out getting married again."
The stunning star's romance with the personal trainer came just months after 'EastEnders' star Jamie filed for divorce in October following 13 months of marriage.
Meanwhile, Kym was recently blasted by her former friend Stephanie Waring - who plays Cindy Cunningham in 'Hollyoaks' - for dating her ex-partner Dan, who is the father of her daughter Lexi, three.
However, the former singer - who has three children, David, 19, and Emily, 16, from her relationship with Dave Cunliffe and three-year-old Polly with Jamie - insists she's looking forward to a brighter future ahead.
She said previously: "I've not had the best of luck in the past 12 months. I keep getting things thrown at me. I'm just looking to the future and hoping for better times and I'm sure they're coming or happening."

Ben Hardy receives ‘inappropriate’ messages from men

Ben Hardy receives "inappropriate invitations" from male fans.
The 'EastEnders' hunk recently posed topless for gay magazine Attitude and his steamy spread has resulted in him receiving lots of attention from male admirers on social media.
Quizzed if the sexy cover has led to more attention from girls, Ben exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I've got more tweets from boys actually on that one! It's increased the number of tweets I've received.
"I haven't been sent any weird pictures, but I get the odd inappropriate invitation. But it's fine!"
The 23-year-old actor feels fortunate to have landed a regular job in 'EastEnders' as he admits it can be a struggle for actors to find work.
He explained: "You're always aware that only eight per cent of actors are in work at one time, so you've got to be thankful for the job you've got and do the best you can."
Ben's Walford alter-ego Peter Beale was recently left reeling after his housemate Billy Mitchell - the grandfather of his girlfriend Lola Pearce - was named a potential suspect in the murder of his sister Lucy.
Asked about the plot development, Ben said: "I think Peter feels very betrayed by Billy, but he's also a very forgiving character."

Katie Price won’t audition for X Factor

Katie Price has ruled out auditioning for 'The X Factor'.
While it was recently claimed the reality TV star's close pal Simon Cowell had personally asked her to take part in the show as a contestant, Katie - who has previously dabbled in a music career - insists she is not good enough to try out.
She wrote in her Now magazine column: "It's true that I'm a good friend of Simon's and it's also true that I'm a huge fan of the show but I'm afraid I won't be standing in front of the four judges."
And one group who will be relieved about that are Katie's children - Harvey, 12, Junior, nine, and Princess, seven, from previous relationships, and 11-month-old Jett with estranged husband Kieran Hayler - as they don't rate her as a singer.
She explained: "My children's faces say it all when I sing at home and I know they are the most honest judges ever. It's a no from me."
Katie previously praised the new 'X Factor' judging panel, which will include feisty former Spice Girl Mel B.
She said: "I like Mel because she says it exactly how it is. There's no beating around the bush or massaging egos. If Mel thinks you're rubbish, she'll tell you. It will be refreshing to hear her comments.
"Personally, I don't think she'll be all about the outfit or style wars like some judges. She'll be more passionate about the talent and concentrating on the contestants."

Catherine Tyldesley: Eva is more ‘vulnerable’

Coronation Street's Eva Price is showing her "vulnerable side".
Catherine Tyldesley says it's "nice to see" a softer side to her soap alter-ego after finding love with Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) in recent months.
Brassy Eva's latest love connection is a stark contrast to her bad experiences with Nick Tilsley and Rob Donovan.
Appearing on ITV's 'Lorraine' this morning (30.07.14), Catherine said: "We are definitely seeing a more vulnerable side to her because she has found happiness and she's finally with a guy she can trust.
"She has had so many trust issues in the past going right back from when her dad walked out on her as a child. It has given her a lot of issues.
"She's really settled now with Jason and she's very happy in the Rovers [Return pub] so we are seeing a different side to her which is really nice."
While Catherine, 30, is enjoying more positive times for Eva, she admits she misses her former on-screen mum Michelle Collins and grandmother Sue Johnston.
She said: "I was chatting to Sue yesterday. I miss them very much. You become so close. Obviously when they are playing your mum and your grandma, you see them more than your real mum and real grandma, so it's weird without them there but we do keep in touch."
