Taylor Lautner was attracted to nudity in Cuckoo

Taylor Lautner was "attracted" to 'Cuckoo' because of its nudity and swearing.
The 22-year-old hunk - who plays Dale 'Cuckoo' Ashbrick, Jr. in the BBC Three show - was drawn to the crude sitcom when he heard foul language, vomit and pooping in a bathtub would be involved.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "I knew you guys [the UK] could get away with much more than we can in the US but even so, I was shocked!
"That's one of the things that attracted me -- there are so many less restrictions than we deal with in America.
"The writers were getting away with lots. I was very surprised but it is one of the things that I enjoyed most."
Taylor's alter-ego turns out to be the son of Cuckoo (Andy Samberg), but after he is tragically killed in the Himalayas while taking part in a mountain trek, Dale is forced to move in with Cuckoo's reluctant in-laws Ken and Lorna (Greg Davis and Helen Baxendale).
Dale is the 'Twilight' actor's first comedy role and he admits he was initially worried about taking on such a humorous part, but settled in quite quickly.
He explained: "I wouldn't say I was confident about comedy at first but I wanted to give it a shot. I knew I would be surrounded by people who knew what they were doing so that would be a huge help -- and that's exactly how it turned out. I couldn't have been luckier."

Robin Windsor quit Strictly Come Dancing over wheelchair fears

Robin Windsor would have ended up in a wheelchair if he hadn't quit 'Strictly Come Dancing.'
The professional dancer made the heartbreaking decision to leave the BBC One show after a slipped disc in his back left him paralysed for three days.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "I have a slipped disc in my back and the nerve is exposed, causing agonising pains shooting down my leg.
"A week ago I was paralysed on the floor of my friend's house as the pain was so bad. I was there for three or four days.
"I couldn't risk going ahead [with the show]. It was a heartbreaking decision but I had no choice. If the slipped disc had popped out while I was dancing, I could have ended up with permanent nerve damage and been in a wheelchair."
The 34-year-old hunk - who has been part of the line-up since 2010 - is determined to return to the competition next year because he doesn't want to leave permanently without winning the show at least once.
He explained: "Injuries go hand in hand with working as a dancer. I have to listen to my body. Now I'm just going to have my operation and focus on getting better for next year. I have to come back because I haven't won the glitterball trophy yet."
Meanwhile, Robin danced his way into the semi-final with former 'Emmerdale' star Lisa Riley in 2012, but only managed to make it to the fifth week with 'Dragons' Den' investor Deborah Meaden last year.

Peter Capaldi wants to be daredevil Doctor

Peter Capaldi is determined not to be an "old Doctor" and has performed most of his own stunts for 'Doctor Who'.
At 56, Capaldi is one of the oldest actors to take on the role of the titular Time Lord but despite his advanced age he has thrown himself into the action side of the sci-fi series.
In an interview with Shortlist magazine, Capaldi revealed: "I took Matt Smith to lunch before we started and he came in on crutches. I said, 'What happened to you, mate?' And he said "It's this show..." I was just, 'He's younger than me, what am I going to do?' But it's been fine, I try to keep myself fit and healthy and I enjoy it. I've done a lot of running up and down corridors - I don't want to be an old Doctor just standing in the corner with the young people doing all the action for me."
Capaldi particularly enjoyed one high-wire stunt which made him feel like he was the Doctor and Superman at the same time.
He said: "One day I was on wires falling through the air - well, skydiving. People kept worrying about me, asking if I was OK. I was loving it, I didn't want to get down - it was like being nine, because you don't normally get to play Doctor Who and Superman at the same time. How many other guys get a chance to do that?"
Capaldi has been a fan of 'Doctor Who' since childhood and he believes the appeal of the show - which celebrated its 50th anniversary in November 2013 - is that it's like a fairy tale.
He also accepts the myriad of monsters have a strong appeal to viewers.
He said: "To me, it's (the show's) a fairy tale. It embodies some key human desires - the desire for people to escape when their life is crappy. When things are going wrong, it would be very nice if you had a blue box you could use to disappear to another world. People love monsters, as well. There are very few shows with monsters in them, surprisingly - people like men in rubber suits."
Capaldi makes his debut in 'Doctor Who' in the episode 'Deep Breath' which airs on BBC One on August 23.

Helen Wood planning reality show

Helen Wood is planning to start her own 'The Only Way is Essex'-style reality show in Manchester.
The 'Big Brother' contestant - a former escort famous for participating in a threesome with England footballer Wayne Rooney in 2010 - thinks a similar type of programme in north west England is required because the stars of 'TOWIE' have become too "boring".
Speaking about the ITV2 reality show, she said: "The girls are boring, it's a bit stale.
"They really need one in Manchester. We've got Geordie Shore and The Valleys, it is time for Manchester. It would really be so entertaining!"
The 27-year-old star has clearly put a lot of thought into getting the project off the ground as she has already planned which Manchester nightspots could be featured, picking out clubs such as Panacea.
A source close to the brunette beauty - who won a pass to the final of the Channel 5 show earlier in the series - admitted Helen believes the goings-on in Manchester will be much more appealing to viewers than what happens in London.
She added: "Helen loves all that stuff. She always watches 'TOWIE' and 'Made In Chelsea' and reckons what goes on in Manchester is far more interesting.
"Hopefully she can get her idea off the ground once she leaves the 'Big Brother' house."
Helen has caused controversy in the house with a number of foul-mouthed rants, but she is hoping her 'Big Brother' experience will enable her to start such ventures as a new reality show.
She added: "If something comes out of it, it's a massive bonus. If it doesn't, I've still got the experience."
Helen, who was booed when she entered the house, recently revealed she fears leaving the house because she expects everyone to "hate" her.
She said: "I knew what I was walking into, but I think more people hate me now. I don't know why I'm moaning, I cheated my way into this position anyway. So I can't moan.
"I'm going off how the public think and that's what I have to do."

X Factor warn raunchy contestant to tone down

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini got "distracted" by an 'X Factor' hopeful's raunchy moves.
Spanish Farella, 27, performed George Michael's hit song 'Faith' at Wembley Arena in a bid to get through to the next stage of the competition, but was told by the judging panel to stop "touching his crotch" so much.
Cheryl said: "I was a little bit distracted. You were touching your crotch a lot.
"You sang well. If you can keep your hands to yourself I will say yes."
Simon Cowell added: "Could you do the song without touching your crotch. You were doing it a lot."
He then jokingly turned to Louis Walsh and asked: "Did you like that Louis?".
The unemployed hopeful begged to be put through to the next round of the show because he wants to "inspire" fellow Spaniards.
He said: "I came on this show because my country is in crisis at the moment and hopefully I can be an inspiration.
"There are a lot of Spanish people living in Britain. Five years ago I could not speak English at all.
"I came on this show as I am a really big fan and it is the best way to make my dream come true as everybody knows 'The X Factor UK'.
"I want to be on the stage. I was born to be on the stage."
Cheryl admitted she was very impressed by Farella's command of the English language.
She said: "It always blows my mind when someone from another country goes to another country and sings in our language."

Ricky Rayment imagines proposing to Jess Wright ‘every day’

Ricky Rayment thinks about proposing to his girlfriend Jess Wright "every day."
The 'Only Way is Essex' star, who began dating the brunette beauty in 2012, imagines popping the question to the busty babe on a daily basis and can't wait to tie the knot with her.
He gushed to BANG Showbiz: "I think about it [proposing] every day. Obviously I want to marry her."
The 23-year-old hunk is unsure when he will get down on one knee but is excited for the magical moment.
He explained: "I'm looking forward to proposing. As soon as the time is right I will definitely be proposing, so let's hope she says yes!"
As well as professing his love for the 28-year-old star, Ricky expressed his fondness for their dog Bella - which he bought for his beau for Christmas two years ago - and how he is eager to expand their family.
Speaking ahead of a skydive to raise money for The Cure Parkinson's Trust, he said: "I want to be with her for the rest of my life and have a nice little family, like we've already started with our dog. It's like a little family, it's quite cute."
Ricky is set to do a skydive to raise money for Cure Parkinson's, which is a registered charity in England, Wales and Scotland, on August 17. To sponsor him visit: http://www.justgiving.com/rickyrayment

Big Brother’s Steven Goode thinks romp with Kimberly was dignified

Steven Goode says his on-screen romp with Kimberly Kisselovich on 'Big Brother' was dignified.
The couple - who have revealed Kimberly suffered an ectopic pregnancy after falling ill on the Channel 5 show - hooked up on the programme, but 23-year-old hunk insists it was not in a disrespectful manner.
He said: "We weren't at it stark-b*****k naked having full-blown sex with no covers on. That's bang out of order. We did it in an intimate manner in the bedroom and no one was aware. At least we thought we weren't. I don't want to watch those scenes back!"
Their relationship has intensified since leaving the house, and the couple, who have only been together a brief period of time, are already thinking of getting hitched.
Steven explained to OK! magazine: "They tried to make me propose on [spin-off show] 'Big Brother's Bit On The Side' but when it happens it'll be a surprise.
"Put it this way - I'm going through the planning at the moment. Let's leave it at that."
Kimberly, meanwhile, revealed she dreams of a wedding featuring "purple flowers and a nice white elegant dress but not too Cindarella".

EastEnders’ Dean Wicks to have fling with Lauren Branning

EastEnders' Dean Wicks is to have a fling with Lauren Branning.
The bad boy - played by Matt Di Angelo - will strike up a passionate relationship with the recovering alcoholic (Jacqueline Jossa) as a way of ignoring his feelings for married woman Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, he said: "It's true, Dean and Lauren are going to get together - but it's nothing serious. It was fun for me, being in bed with Jacqueline Jossa, who plays Lauren.
"But I don't think Dean cares too much for Lauren. She's just a distraction and I can imagine he's thinking about Linda the whole time."
Meanwhile, Matt, 27, hopes his hunky alter-ego makes amends with his mother Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) after they fell out six years ago when the hard-faced pub owner revealed Kevin Wicks (Phil Daniels) may not be his real father as she previously had two affairs.
He explained: "I don't understand why he continues to be so antagonistic towards Shirley. It's really hard for me to be mean to Linda Henry, who plays her, because we get on so well in real life.
"It's not like Shirley is constantly doing things to upset Dean. It's almost as though he's decided this is how he feels about her and he can't go back on that. But we're filming stuff right now where we begin to work through that and exorcise those demons."

Paul Hollywood: Michelin star chefs are scared of me

Paul Hollywood has revealed Michelin-starred chefs are too afraid cook in front of him.
'The Great British Bake Off' judge, who is known as the tough guy of baking, admits his culinary fellows were "shaking" as they were whipping up some calorific treats on his show 'Paul Hollywood Pies and Puds.'
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he joked: "I've worked with Tom Kerridge and Michelin-starred chefs who came on my programme and they were shaking. Shaking making the stuff in front of me.
"I said, 'What are you nervous about?' They said, 'Because it's you!' I said, 'You're a Michelin-starred chef, man. Get your head together!"
However, Paul's 'GBBO' co-star and award-winning cookbook writer, Mary Berry, 79, insists she doesn't feel nervous around the 47-year-old chef and even falls asleep watching his show.
When asked how she fits in her afternoon nap, the queen of baking shared: "I just hear [Paul] in the background. It puts me to sleep."
The fifth series of the hugely popular baking competition returns to TV screens tonight (06.08.14) and Mary hinted that fans of the programme can expect some "completely wow" show stoppers.
'The Great British Bake Off' will air on BBC One at 8pm.
