Susanna Reid’s breast cancer scare

Susanna Reid had a breast cancer scare.
The 43-year-old television presenter - who currently hosts 'Good Morning Britain' - has revealed she feared the worst after finding a lump on her breast.
In an article for 'The Sun' newspaper, she wrote: "I realised there was a bump there that I hadn't felt before. I was shocked - and scared.
"It was a lump which could turn out to be the thing I was most frightened of. I thought to myself: 'For the sake of my boys please don't let it be cancer.'"
Susanna - who has three sons, Finn, Jack and Sam with her ex-partner Dominic Cotton - admitted she was nervous about the lump being checked out.
She explained: "The fear of cancer can be so great that there can be a temptation to put off going to the doctor, just so you don't have to face the tests - or a diagnosis.
"But I knew seeing a doctor as soon as possible was the only way to know what I was facing."
The former 'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant - who received the all clear after a number of tests - described her relief at being told it was a cyst.
Susanna said: "Another ultrasound confirmed what the doctor initially suspected. My lump was a harmless cyst that could be treated immediately.
"As I left hospital, the consultant said: 'I want you to know you have nothing at all to be concerned about.'
"Those are the words you want to hear - and they still ring happily in my ears."

Madonna to perform on X Factor?

X Factor bosses are "hopeful" that Madonna will perform on this year's live shows.
The 55-year-old singer is currently considering an offer by the talent show that would see her appear on one of the final shows to promote her new album.
An X Factor source told 'The Sun' newspaper: "It's looking very hopeful Madonna will perform, possibly in November on one of the live shows.
"There are a lot of big names releasing music at that time, but she's absolutely the number one name we are trying to secure.
"She needs her next album to be a success in the UK and a performance on ITV in front of 12 million people would be the best platform."
The show's wishlist includes other big name stars like Rihanna, U2 and Adele as well as former judge Gary Barlow alongside Take That.
Returning judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is also tipped to perform on the show.
Meanwhile, an insider has also revealed that Tulisa Contostavlos is to appear on the new series.
Simon Cowell has reportedly invited the 26-year-old back to help Louis Walsh at the judges' houses stage.
An insider said: "This is a massive deal for Tulisa.
"She is determined to get her career back on track and having Simon's support means a lot."

John Partridge loses four stone in two years

John Partridge has lost four stone since he left 'EastEnders' two years ago.
The 42 year old actor, who played Christian Clarke in the BBC One soap, shrunk from 211lbs to 176lbs due to the stress of seeing his mother develop Alzheimer's.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, he said: "As I'm my mother's primary carer, I haven't had time to sit down and relax. It's been like having a baby.
The hunky star left the show in 201and made a brief comeback in April for funeral of Lucy Beale (Hetti Bywater), but has no plans to return full time.
He added: "It's [caring for my mother is] also one of the reasons why I won't be returning to 'EastEnders.'
However, John has signed up to appear in the upcoming celebrity gymnastics show 'Tumble', which has also helped him get back into shape.
He explained: "My whole physique has changed again since training for the show started. It gives me great pleasure to know that on a Saturday night my mum will be able to switch on the TV and see me. She's my number one fan and I'm her number one boy."
'Tumble' kicks off tonight (09.08.14) on BBC One at 6:30pm.

Mark Byron and Winston Showan evicted from ‘Big Brother’

Mark Byron and Winston Showan were both evicted from 'Big Brother' tonight (08.08.14).
The housemates were booted off the Channel 5 series in a surprise double eviction.
Eyebrow "expert" Mark, 24, was the 11th contestant to be eliminated and insisted he had an "amazing experience" inside despite receiving a negative reaction from the crowd.
He told the show's host Emma Willis: "I had such an amazing experience for the most part...there are people in there who would be better finalists...Nothing went wrong for me...it was just a brilliant summer."
When he was later informed there would be another eviction, he joked: "I'm a bit gutted... I was looking forward to a night by myself!"
Winston's elimination caused shockwaves around the house, but he left to loud cheers from the public.
In his post-eviction interview with Emma, the Personal business development manager, 27, admitted he was "a little bit shocked."

Helen Flanagan to release underwear line

Helen Flanagan wants to release an underwear line.
The former 'Coronation Street' star is keen to create her own lingerie collection, but she doesn't want her name to be linked to the brand because she's worried people who don't like her won't want to buy her designs.
Speaking in the new issue of FHM magazine, she said: "I want to have my own underwear brand. I've always been obsessed with Agent Provocateur because I think it's so classy, but also so cool, quirky and creative.
"It's really inspired me. I literally have the entire Agent Provocateur collection. I own everything they have."
She added: "I've been trying to find the name for ages - I have a few ideas that I'm working on. I won't have my name in the brand, because then people that don't like me won't buy it. And I can't have that, because people either really like me, or they really don't."
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old beauty - who flaunts her curvaceous figure wearing a tiny pair of bikini bottoms in the magazine - recently admitted she wanted to be less sexy and more natural.
She said: "I'm scaling back my sexy look. I used to wear lots of make-up, fake tan and fake eyelashes, but I've decided that less is definitely more. Now I love to use make-up to contour my face and make the most of my natural features."

Adam Garcia is ‘pretty good’ in bed

Adam Garcia has claimed he's "pretty good" in bed.
The 'Got to Dance' judge, 41, believes he's got a talent when it comes to getting jiggy beneath the sheets, but is remaining tight-lipped on who the lucky lady is.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I'm pretty good in the sack ... I'm currently seeing someone, and yes, it's serious. Someday I would like children."
Adam's co-judge Ashley Banjo, on the other, has been with his beau Francesca for almost a decade and credits her for helping him remain level-headed throughout his rise to fame on ITV's 'Britain's Got Talent' with his dance troupe Diversity in 2009.
He explained: "I've been with my girlfriend for nine years. It's crazy. She's known me since I was a kid. She's been there throughout the whole transition and keeps me grounded."
Meanwhile, the 'Got to Dance' panel - who is completed by former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt - are on the hunt for the best dance act to win the prize fund.
However, the show this year will not only see the talented dancers go head-to-head, but also the judges, who have to pick their favourite acts and mentor them.
Adam said: "There was a point when we were competing against each other for the same acts and I got a bit upset when Ash or Kim got the acts I wanted. We have to pitch ourselves to the acts we want. We have to directly outsell each other."
Meanwhile, 'Got to Dance' will return to TV screens for the fifth series tomorrow (09.08.14) on Sky 1 at 8pm.

Verity Rushworth’s Emmerdale exit was therapeutic

Verity Rushworth found her 'Emmerdale' exit therapeutic.
The 28-year-old actress, who returned to the show earlier this year, will bow out of the ITV soap next week when her alter-ego Donna Windsor dies, and Verity admits the tears she's cried during the emotional scenes have helped her deal with the departure.
She told SoapSquawk.com: "It's the end of an era, I grow up with the show and it felt like going home. It feels weird that it's completely, definitely, over for me.
"I had a break, which was lovely, and now it feels like I've gone full circle and it's completion. I feel like I have had therapy because of all the crying, it's like I've released all this emotion and now I'm ready to let it lie."
It is unknown whether Donna, who is suffering with Mesothelioma, will lose her battle against lung cancer or whether her dodgy dealings with Ross Barton (Michael Parr) will tragically cut her life short.
However, Verity - who played Donna for 11 years between 1998 and 2009 - admits the final scenes will be extremely dramatic and heart-wrenching for viewers.
She said: "It's very full on and she's going through turmoil. It's the big build up!"

Siblings’ Charlotte Ritchie prefers unlikeable roles

'Siblings' star Charlotte Ritchie prefers to play unlikeable characters.
The 24-year-old actress was thrilled when she landed the role of "unforgiving, selfish, loud and obnoxious" Hannah in the new BBC Three sitcom because she finds it dull portraying nice characters.
Speaking to the RadioTimes.com, she said: "I know other actors who don't like playing characters people don't like, but I love it. It's boring to watch someone who is too likeable."
She added: "When I was younger I was always worried that I would only play quiet, retiring characters, but no one ever gave me a shy character. I was really happy to play someone like Hannah - it's fun to be someone like that. Like, as a joke. Not in real life...
The hilarious show follows Hannah and her brother Dan (Tom Stourton) as they attempt to navigate life in their twenties, but they mostly end up causing havoc for every one else they come into contact with.
Charlotte admits her relationship with her brother Luke, whom she writes and performs in a band with, is quite similar to Hannah and Dan's sibling bond.
She explained: "It's the same sort of rude bluntness. They have the same sense of humour, and my brother and I have exactly the same sense of humour, which makes working really fun. You can't get anything done if everything's really serious."

Coronation Street’s Rob Donovan to kill again?

'Coronation Street's Marc Baylis thinks his character Rob Donovan could kill again.
The 37-year-old hunk believes his nasty alter-ego is capable of becoming a serial killer after he murdered barmaid Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) in cold blood in May after she threatened to expose his scams.
Speaking to Soaplife magazine, he said: "I'd like to think Tina was a one-off through desperate measures. But once you've done something like that, who knows if that switch can flick again? If Rob feels he has no way out, then who knows what he might do?"
Rob has kept his dirty secret underwraps since Tina's death and has let his brother-in-law Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) take the blame after he was arrested following the revelation that he cheated on his pregnant wife Carla (Alison King) with the brunette beauty.
However, Peter's father Ken Barlow (Bill Roache) could be the next one to find himself in a grave as Rob starts to worry when he gets the recovering alcoholic a new lawyer and sets up a campaign to free his son.
Marc explained: "Ken intends to pull out all the stops to get Peter released. He's so adamant Peter is innocent, Rob really begins to think he might not get away with killing Tina. He starts playing games and puts obstacles in Ken's way. Rob says the new lawyer must be useless if he was free to take on Peter's case."
