Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins pregnant

'Good Morning Britain' presenter Charlotte Hawkins is pregnant.
The 39-year-old star revealed she is expecting her first child on the TV breakfast show this morning (12.08.14) shortly after discussing a news story about a woman whose waist grew to 139cm during her first pregnancy.
She said: "I'm pregnant, I'm happy to announce, expecting a baby and that kind of story fills me with dread!
"I'm hoping I won't reach that record."
Charlotte's co-star Susanna Reid - who has three children - joked: "Who would have thought that working on Good Morning Britain could be so productive!"
Charlotte - who has been married to husband Mark Herbert since 2008 - admitted later on the show that she will be leaning on her fellow presenters Susanna, Ben Shephard, who has two sons, and Sean Fletcher, who has a son and a daughter, for advice.
She said: "My husband Mark and I are absolutely thrilled to be expecting our first child. I've been looking forward to sharing the news with everyone, and can't wait to be a mother for the first time.
"Luckily I have my fellow 'Good Morning Britain' presenters on hand who've already been through it, so I'll be relying on them for expert advice!"
Several stars took to Twitter to congratulate the blonde beauty on her news.
Carol Vorderman wrote: "Huge congratulations to the very lovely @CharlotteHawkns Having first baby... Enjoy the peace while you can! Sending love and earplugs x (sic)"
'This Morning' presenter Eamonn Holmes tweeted: "Get you , you've been busy ...... hope you have that extension finished in time ! Much love and congrats x (sic)"

Tamzin Outhwaite worried by weight obsession

Tamzin Outhwaite is concerned by how many actresses are obsessed with their weight.
The 'New Tricks' star has stopped worrying about what she eats and is much happier now but she is alarmed that lots of her peers seem to live by the mantra "eating is cheating".
In an interview with Radio Times magazine, she said: "I know actors who actually say 'eating is cheating' and it worries me. I don't understand why you need to be skinny to play any character, unless it specifically says in the script that she's a model or dying of consumption. And I'm too old to play a model. So I've stopped worrying about it, which makes me feel much freer.
"It's weird that we're living in an age where most women - especially those in the public eye - are on a continuous diet."
The former 'EastEnders' star, 43, is concerned with the effect society's preoccupation with beauty and weight could have on her two young daughters, Florence and Marnie, her children with estranged husband Tom Ellis.
Tamzin even believes the message spread by the Disney Princess phenomenon - which includes characters such as Ariel, Cinderella and Rapunzel - is re-enforcing negative stereotypes for girls.
She said: "Look at all those Disney princesses with their big heads and tiny waists, all waiting to be rescued from their lives by men. That's not the kind of role model I want for my girls."
Tamzin - who plays DCI Sacha Miller alongside Dennis Waterman and Nicholas Lyndhurst in BBC One show 'New Tricks' - insists she could have never been totally reliant on a man because she is too independent.
She explained: "I could never have been a full-time, stay-at-home mum, reliant on a man. I love hanging out with the kids and I love my job. And I'm hugely fortunate that I don't have to choose between the two."

X Factor acts booed

'The X Factor' audience booed some of the acts put through to judges' houses.
The crowd watching the boot camp stage of the auditions - where the panel selects the final six from their category they are taking through to the next stage - grew angry and frustrated when Louis Walsh and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini swapped out talented singers for novelty acts.
Show compere and warm-up man Ian Royce was forced to intervene and warn the crowd about their "vile" behaviour, telling them to "give a chance" to hopefuls after one girl was booed before she even finished performing.
And when Louis gave comedy duo Blonde Electric a place on his Groups shortlist, he was forced to intervene again.
He said: "This act don't deserve that booing, this is there opportunity so you give them the same respect you've given every other act tonight. This is their big moment make sure you give it to them!"
Some audience members speculated the inclusion of the novelty acts were a fix after Louis swapped Blonde Electric back in after speaking to producers, and Cheryl did the same with one of her contestants in the Girls category.
A crowd member said: "When Cheryl got rid of the girl, producers could be seen shaking their heads at the decision and ran up to her. Later she was brought back. As soon as Cheryl announced the girl was out, the booing started."
However, a show source insisted the two judges were discussing their desire to swap acts.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "The judges can change their minds as much as they want.
"Producers talk to the judges all the time but it doesn't mean they are telling them what to do. They are simply there to advise them. The judges don't wear earpieces so producers talk to them at the desk throughout filming.
"In this instance the judges spoke to the production team about the fact that they wanted to change their minds."
A spokesperson for the programme denied any suggestion of a fix.
They said: "As part of the Six-Chair Challenge judges have to decide who goes through to the judges' houses.
"Until all the acts in their category have sung and the judge has declared that they have chosen their final six, each judge is able to change their minds and bring back anyone they have removed from a seat at any stage."

Billie Faiers says daughter is going to be a ‘character’

'The Only Way Is Essex' star Billie Faiers has predicted her daughter is going to be a "real character" when she's older.
The 24-year-old blonde and her fiancé Greg Shepherd became proud parents to one-month-old Nelly on July 9 and Billie admits the "inquisitive" baby has completely changed the couple's lives.
Speaking to the new issue of OK! magazine (www.ok.co.uk), she said: "As each day goes by, we love her even more.
"To think she has been in our lives for a month is amazing and each day her character grows more and more.
"Nelly is really inquisitive and always looking about at things and people - she's going to be a real character!"
Billie also revealed that fatherhood has come naturally to Greg, something which has surprised her.
She said: "Greg's taken to fatherhood much better than I expected and I'm really happy with him."
In the magazine, the couple have shared a gorgeous collection of photographs of them with baby Nelly, which were taken at the Baby Art UK studios in Ipswich.

George Michael loves watching Coronation Street

George Michael loves watching 'Coronation Street.'
The 51-year-old singer admits he can't get enough of the ITV soap's omnibus on a Sunday and won't let his busy schedule force him to miss the weekly episode.
When asked what his guilty pleasure is, he told The Guardian Weekend magazine: "Sunday morning - loads of episodes of 'Corrie' to watch."
The former 'Wham!' frontman - who was sentenced to eight weeks in prison in 2010 for driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs - previously revealed he had swapped his old lifestyle of cannabis for the popular television show because it makes him smile.
He said earlier this year: "I watch 'Corrie' especially because it's more of a laugh. Even when life is tragic on 'Coronation Street,' it's still funny."
Speaking about his brief stint in prison four years ago , he added: "Jail wasn't great. I just thought, get your head down and get on with it.
"It turned out to be easier than I was expecting because I knew I deserved to be there."

Hayley Tamaddon splits from Marcus Brigstocke

'Coronation Street' star Hayley Tamaddon has split from her boyfriend, Marcus Brigstocke.
The couple - who had an affair together in 2010 when they were both starring in musical 'Spamalot' - have gone their separate ways after a series of rows.
The stand-up comic then left his wife of 12 years, Sophie Prideaux, for the 37-year-old soap star, who plays Andrea Beckett in the ITV show .
A source close to the couple told The Sun newspaper: "Marcus and Hayley ... had four years together but eventually realised it wasn't going to work between them.
"They supported each other through a lot and it is a shame given that Marcus gave up so much to be with Hayley when they met.
"But unfortunately sometimes things run their course. Now they're both focusing on moving on."
Previously, Marcus admitted he tried to work things out with his wife before he started dating Hayley.
Last year, he said: "There are things I feel ashamed of. I am now a person who had an affair. However, I'm happy with my girlfriend, my kids are happy and here we all are.
"I said to my wife this is what happened and I'm very sorry. We tried to put things back together but it became clear it wasn't going to work."

Spencer Matthews: It’s time for me to grow up

'Made in Chelsea' star Spencer Matthews believes it's time for him to "grow up".
The 26-year-old star - who has earned a reputation as a "lothario" on the show - thinks he's reached an age where he needs to be more serious.
Speaking on ITV show 'This Morning', he said: "I can't make any promises, but I'm trying to be a nicer person.
"I just think it's time to grow up - I'm 26 years old now - so for me gallivanting around being a 'lothario' as it's being referred to, is just a bit ... I'm trying to be a bit more serious."
The reality television star - whose family owns the exclusive Eden Rock Hotel in St Barths - admitted he fell for the same girl as his co-star Stevie Johnson when they were filming for the show in New York last month.
He confessed: "Yes, we both took a liking to her ... but we managed not to fall out."
Spencer first got his nickname as a "love rat" when it was revealed that he had cheated on two of his ex-girlfriends, Lucy Watson and Louise Thompson, within a few months of each other.
He made the admission about Lucy during the filming for the 'Made in Chelsea End of Season Party' last year.
At the time, he said: "I've slipped up. I've cheated on her ... I think I'm just young and living some form of dream but unfortunately hurting people in the process."
He continued: "If anyone could have changed me, I still think it could have been her - could still be her.
"It's a horrible thing to do to someone who deserves it as little as Lucy."

Peter Capaldi is like a rock star, says Coleman

Peter Capaldi is like a rock star, according to his 'Doctor Who' co-star Jenna-Louise Coleman.
The 56-year-old actor is the latest star to play the titular Time Lord and Coleman - who plays the role of companion Clara Oswald in the BBC One sci-fi show - insists Capaldi is the ideal candidate for the iconic role because he's so "cool".
Speaking to fans at a Q&A session in Seoul, South Korea, Coleman - who appeared opposite Capaldi's predecessor Matt Smith - said: "Peter doesn't need advice. Look at him, he's cool. Very cool. We feel like The Beatles at the moment."
Asked which of the band they are most similar to, Capaldi quipped: "George and Ringo. I'm George."
As if to further this perception, Capaldi took the opportunity to bust out a few dance moves as he and Coleman, 28, were joined on stage by South Korean boy band ZE:A.
The Q&A - part of the 'Doctor Who World Tour' to promote the new series - marked the first time a current 'Doctor Who' star has visited South Korea and many fans chose to mark the special occasion - which sold out in just two minutes - by dressing as their favourite on-screen characters.
Capaldi and Coleman even brought the TARDIS time machine to the historic Bosingak bell at the National Museum of Korea to mark the trip.
They also got to enjoy a special screening of the first episode of series 8, 'Deep Breath', which is to air on BBC One on Saturday, August 23.
The 'Doctor Who World Tour' next heads to Sydney (Australia) and has several other international stops before finishing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on August 19.

George R. R. Martin backs Game of Thrones movie

George R. R. Martin thinks it would be great if 'Game of Thrones' was to end with a movie.
The 65-year-old author wrote the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' novel series which the hit HBO show is based upon and he has given his blessing to the conclusion to of the story happening on the big screen, even though he has not finished writing the books.
He told The Independent Magazine: "If we go seven or eight seasons and then the show is still big enough that we can get the $200 million to finance a huge epic movie to end it ... sure!"
However, he isn't interested in any prospective movie being shot in 3D as he is not a fan of the technology.
Martin added: "I don't care about 3D - it gives me a headache."
Martin also admitted he is sometimes frustrated that budget restrictions of $6 million per episode mean some TV episodes cannot recreate what he put in words in his books - something that is particularly true when it comes to shooting battles.
The writer - who acts as co-executive producer on 'Game of Thrones' - said: "We still run into budgetary problems. We've done a couple of great battles, for example, the Black Water battle in season two that I scripted and in this past season, episode nine was one long battle - the Battle of the Wall.
"Those have been great episodes, but we've also had to skip half the battles. Instead we have a messenger run on from off stage and say, 'We've won the battle!' Battles are very expensive."
'Game of Thrones first aired in 2011 and has run for four seasons so far. Main stars include Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner and Iain Glen.
