Alison Hammond confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing

Alison Hammond has been confirmed for the next series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'This Morning' presenter has been announced as the third celebrity set to compete on this year's edition of the ballroom contest, after describing herself as "absolutely overjoyed" as she revealed the news on the ITV breakfast show today (19.08.14).
She said: "I am ready to immerse myself in glitter and hard work, with a dash of fun along the way!"
The official announcement follows reports last month that she had already been fitted for her costume and was "genuinely delighted" at the opportunity.
A source recently said: "She came in for her fitting last week and can't wait to get started ... Alison's personality is infectious and the bosses are sure she will be popular. She has the kind of charisma and humour that people love.
"She was genuinely delighted to be asked to join. There is no doubt she will throw everything into her dance training. She could be one of this year's real surprises."
The TV star joins The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford and tennis coach Judy Murray - the mother of British star Andy.

Peter Capaldi’s ‘mysterious’ Doctor Who

Peter Capaldi is trying to bring "mystery and strangeness" back to 'Doctor Who'.
The 56-year-old actor is to take on the role of the titular Time Lord for the first time in the upcoming latest instalment of the BBC One sci-fi programme and he's confessed that although he's almost finished filming his first series, he's still finding his feet as the character.
He explained: "I don't know if it's quite fallen into place yet. I think it's a mistake to get it to click, to get it to groove. I've tried to avoid finding a way to it and then just repeating that.
"I'm trying all the time to see what works and what doesn't work, though I'm trying to bring back some of the Doctor's mystery and strangeness, which is hard to do given that the show is 50 years old."
Capaldi has previously admitted that he's been a fan of 'Doctor Who' since he was five-years-old and confessed he already knew how to use the Tardis before he started filming, but he's now revealed he never dreamed he'd be offered the role of the Doctor himself.
Speaking to the Radio Times magazine, he said: "I think I'm a more grown-up Doctor. He is serious when he needs to be, but still quite comic.
"Then I never thought I'd be in the frame for the part as the Doctors were getting younger and younger."
Peter makes his debut as the Time Lord on BBC One on Saturday (23.08.14).

Vicky Pattison: Mum stopped speaking to me after on-screen romp

Vicky Pattison's mum wouldn't speak to her after her on-screen romp.
The 'Geordie Shore' star has revealed that her family were mortified when she first slept with her now ex-fiance Ricci Guarnaccio on the second series of the MTV show.
Vicky said: "The worst thing about having sex on TV was that my mam stopped speaking to me for ages when she found out.
"Yes, sometimes my language is appalling. I can be violent but those things mam can overlook. But having sex on TV is very different."
The 27-year-old beauty - who recently returned to the reality show house in Newcastle with co-stars including Gary 'Gaz' Beadle, Charlotte Crosby and Holly Hagan - also confessed she felt as though she'd lost the respect of her fans when she shared the intimate moment on-screen.
In an extract from her new autobiography 'Nothing But The Truth' printed in The Sun newspaper, she explains: "I think that scene really changed the public's opinion of me and it also changed my opinion of the show because it took everything from me."
Vicky added: "I hated having sex on camera so much. The bitching is nasty but I'm actually a bit of a prude when it comes to that side of things. I despised that my parents could potentially see it."
The feisty brunette is now dating ice hockey player James Morgan and she's vowed to keep their relationship out of the public eye.

Denise Van Outen doesn’t want more kids

Denise Van Outen doesn't want any more children.
The former 'Big Breakfast' host has revealed that although she's currently loved up with stockbroker Eddie Boxshall - who is her first boyfriend since her split from husband Lee Mead - she's not interested in making any siblings for her four-year-old daughter Betsy.
Quizzed on whether she wanted any more children, she said: "I don't think so. No. I've been very blessed with my little girl. She has grown up so fast. They grow up really quickly - she starts school in September. I can't believe it. I'm excited about her starting school."
The blonde beauty celebrated her 40th birthday in May and she's confessed that although she still feels young at heart, she's not worried about getting older.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I feel all right about being 40. I had a really nice party with my girlfriends.
"I do feel 20 inside. I think you always feel young inside.
"My nan was in her 80s and she still felt 19."
Meanwhile, Denise previously admitted she had put her love life on hold out of respect for Lee, whom she was married to for four years before they split in July last year.
She said recently: "I've just got back on the dating scene after a year of healing and being respectful to my ex-partner and thinking, 'I want to do it the right way'."

Lee Ryan stripped to his pants in hotel bar

Lee Ryan was kicked out of a hotel bar after he stripped down to his pants.
Lee, 31, spent his night off on tour drinking beer and vodka at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Glasgow, where he was chucked out at around 1am after stripping to his pants and dancing on the bar.
A witness told The Sun newspaper: "He was being egged on so started taking his clothes off. Next thing he jumped on the bar in only his pants and started dancing.
"A row broke out with staff telling Lee to get off and put some clothes on. He was then asked to leave the bar and went red-faced to his room."
Boyband Blue are currently appearing on 'Ant & Dec's Takeaway On Tour', which has seen them travel around the UK with their live show.
A spokesperson for Blue was keen to downplay the incident, saying: "Lee apologises for any upset and inconvenience caused."
Lee recently admitted to drinking heavily and suffering from depression in the aftermath of his appearance on 'Celebrity Big Brother' earlier this year.
The singer became unpopular with some of the public after finding himself in a love triangle with glamour model Casey Batchelor and American actress Jasmine Waltz.

Simon Cowell puts together X Factor supergroup

Simon Cowell has created the biggest 'X Factor' band ever by putting together eight solo acts.
The music mogul is hoping to achieve similar success as he has with One Direction - who were formed on the ITV talent show in 2010 - by forming a new all-male group after all eight impressed on their own but failed to make it through as solo artists.
A source said: "The boys were the strongest category by far at boot camp and it really hurt the judges to say goodbye to so much talent. In the end they decided to make the extra boys into one big group. Between the eight of them they've got everything they need to be a success."
The boy band don't have a name as yet but they have now gone away to see if they can gel as a group and become friends to help their success.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "The boys have been told to go away and gel.
"They really need to find an identity they can all agree on and to become friends.
"One Direction might have been manufactured but it worked because they were friends and they went in as equals and none of them have huge egos. This new band needs to find the same thing."
Nicole Scherzinger famously suggested that solo singers Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik try out as a band when she was a guest judge on the Boot Camp stage of 'X Factor' in 2010, leading to the formation of One Direction.
She previously said: "I just thought, 'Wow, these boys!' None of them were strong enough to make it through, but they'd make a killer group. All the girls are going to want to see these guys in a band together."
Earlier this year, it was reported the group were worth £70 million making them the richest British band in music history.

Dan Osborne’s son will be ‘heartbreaker’

Dan Osborne believes his baby son will be a "heartbreaker" when he grows up.
The 'Only Way Is Essex' hunk is confident eight-month-old Teddy, whom he has with his ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin, will be a huge hit with the ladies when he's older because of his good looks.
When asked if the tot will grow up to be a heartbreaker, he told new! magazine: "Definitely. 100 per cent."
The 23-year-old hunk can't believe how much Teddy has changed over the past few months and he's starting to see his adorable personality shine through.
He explained: "He's doing really well. I can't believe how quickly he's growing up. It's mad. He's standing up and if you ask him for a kiss when he's in a happy mood he'll give you one."
However, Dan - who has recently signed up to join 'The Dreamboys Fit And Famous Tour!' - admits he doesn't get to see Teddy as much as he would like to due to his demanding career but enjoys spending time with him.
Asked if he sees the tot every day, he replied: "No, not every day. When I'm working I can't get around to see him."
Meanwhile, Dan has a new bundle of joy on the way as his girlfriend 'EastEnders' star Jacqueline Jossa, whom he has been dating on/off for a year, is pregnant with their first child and expected to give birth in early 2015.
He said earlier this week: "Becoming a father has been the most amazing thing to ever happen to me. I can't believe I'm going to be a dad again - I'm truly blessed."

Mario Falcone is ‘broody’

Mario Falcone feels "broody."
The 26-year-old reality TV star admits he's keen to have children after meeting his five-month-old nephew Buzz - the son of McBusted's Tom Fletcher - and even credits the tiny tot for helping him work out his priorities.
Asked how Buzz is doing, Mario replied: "He's so beautiful. He makes me feel so broody - can you believe it? Mario, broody!
"He's part of the reason I feel like a changed man. My priorities feel different now he's around. I'm even at the stage where I ask people in the street if I can hold their babies. I've turned into such a weirdo. I can't help it!"
The lothario - who cheated on his ex-fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh - is also determined to find the right woman and "settle down" with her but wants to take things slowly for fear of it going wrong.
He explained to new! magazine: "I want to settle down, but I'm wary that I could end up trying to rush things and I don't want to do that with the wrong girl. But I'm done having my fun with
women. It's time to get serious."
Meanwhile, Mario was suspended from 'The Only Way is Essex' after he was caught on camera allegedly snorting cocaine earlier this year, but he has since apologised for the scandal and hopes to be back on TV screens for the next series of the ITV2 show.
He said: "I was taking the show for granted. My attitude had become really lacklustre.I needed a wake-up call and a kick up the backside and that video coming out was exactly that. It's made me realise how lucky I am to be a part of the show. If I'm given another chance I won't mess it up again."

Celebrity Big Brother 2014 line-up revealed

Edele Lynch, Lauren Goodger, Stephanie Pratt and James Jordan are among those who entered the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house tonight (18.08.14).
The B*Witched singer, the former 'Only Way is Essex' beauty, the outspoken American and the 'Strictly Come Dancing' professional have joined the line-up of stars taking part in the 14th series of the Channel 5 show.
Ex-'Emmerdale' actress Claire King, Kelly Brook's fiancé David McIntosh, 'Benefit Street's White Dee and reality TV star Ricci Guarnaccio also entered the famous house after being greeted by host Emma Willis earlier this evening at the live launch.
While, boxing promoter Kellie Maloney, 'Googlebox's George Gilbey and professional boxer Audley Harrison have also joined the line-up as they fancy their chances at winning this year's popular gameshow.
However, the launch night would be nothing without a few twists and turns to kick off the celebrities' four-weeks of drama and tension in the house.
Big Brother set Dee the challenge of becoming the Duchess of Solihull in a bid to trick the three US stars exotic dancer Angelique 'Frenchy' Morgan, 'Will and Grace's Leslie Jordan and 'Point Break' star Gary Busey in to thinking she is a member of the royal family and 21st in line to throne.
If loud-mouthed Dee manages to successfully complete the challenge, she and the other housemates will party like royals but if she fails, they will be forced to live like paupers until further notice.
'Celebrity Big Brother' continues tomorrow night (19.08.14) on Channel 5 at 10pm.
