Nina Wadia to return to EastEnders

Nina Wadia wants to return to 'EastEnders'.
The 46-year-old actress waved goodbye to her bossy alter-ego Zainab Masood in 2013 following the explosive death of her on-screen husband Yusef Khan (Ace Bhatti), who viciously abused her, but is keen to waltz back into Walford sometime in the near future following three years away.
Asked if she is going to return to the BBC One soap, she said: "If they asked me, I'd probably go back. I'd like to go back to funny storylines. I want to be funny again because they brought her in to be funny and then they gave her this domestic violence storyline.
"You can't come back funny from that and that's why I left because you can't be like, Hurrah, he's dead now, let's go back to fun Zainab. It doesn't work like that."
However, the brunette beauty, who played Zainab for six years, believes enough time has gone by since her departure and she could return to a more lighthearted storyline.
She explained on 'Loose Women' today (05.02.16): "Maybe there's enough of a gap now [since I left] but I'll leave it up to them [the show bosses] and the powers of the executives."

Lucy Mecklenburgh splits with Louis Smith

Lucy Mecklenburgh and Louis Smith have split up.
The former 'The Only Way is Essex' star and the Olympic gymnast have called time on their 14-month relationship following a series of rows over their plans to settle down.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Lucy and Louis wanted different things. Lucy wanted things that Louis just wasn't ready to commit to. In the end Lucy wasn't prepared to wait.
"Louis really had led Lucy on in that they'd discussed marriage and kids at length - it came like a bolt out of the blue and doesn't really make any sense to her."
The couple began dating at the end of 2014 after they met four months earlier when Lucy, 24, competed on the gymnast show 'Tumble', where Louis was a judge, in August 2014.
However, the career-orientated pair sparked rumours their relationship was on the rocks earlier this month when the brunette beauty began building her own home in Essex.
Asked if they've spoken about moving in together, Lucy said recently: "Not right now. He built his house in Peterborough and I've nearly finished building mine in Essex.
"It wouldn't work at the minute. It's important to have your own space and not to plan things around someone else. We live our own lives and see each other when we're both free."
Lucy - who left the reality TV show two years ago to work on her fitness empire - has made no secret of the fact she wanted to settle down with Louis, 26, and start a family.

Stephanie Davis slams Sam Reece for ‘cashing in’ on romance woes

Stephanie Davis has branded Sam Reece a "k***head" for "cashing in" on their relationship woes.
The 22-year-old actress has slated the hunky model, who she has been dating for over a year, for selling his story on their love life following her on-screen romance with Jeremy McConnell in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house last month.
When she learnt Sam had been signed up to a number of club appearances, she responded: "He can lap up the money! The truth is, I've found someone who cares about my heart. He would never let me get hurt again. Well, he could never take me to dinner so perhaps he can now take a girl to dinner. F****** enjoy your PAs, you k***head."
The former 'Hollyoaks' actress then shot down rumours her relationship with the Irish hunk was done out of "revenge" after Sam broke her heart before she entered the abode.
Addressing the love triangle during a press conference task in last night's episode (04.02.16), she said: "No, it's not about revenge. I think Sam will understand what's happened. He loves me that much that he knows he broke my heart. I think when he sees me, he is going to look at me and say, 'You know what? I lost you a long time ago.' "
The brunette beauty's remarks come just days after her fellow housemate Christopher Maloney claimed Sam cheated on Stephanie while on a holiday she paid for.
He revealed earlier this week: "She took him on holiday, she paid for him - he doesn't pay for anything.
"They went away and apparently he cheated on her while they were away. She read one of his text messages.
"She was really upset, but she forgave him. She told him if there was one more thing, they would be finished."

Danniella Westbrook leaves CBB house to get new teeth fitted

Danniella Westbrook left the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house last month to get a new set of teeth fitted.
The 42-year-old actress accidentally let slip in last night's episode (05.02.16) that she was given permission to make a quick dash to the dentist to get her gnashers done.
When asked during an awkward press conference task why she kicked off when former housemate Jeremy McConnell's dirty trainer were slipped under her pillow as a joke, the blonde beauty replied: "I'd just been out to have my veneers done - when that happened. I was worried about infection."
The former 'EastEnders' star, who was known for playing megabitch Sam Mitchell in the soap, dropped jaws two weeks ago when she locked horns with Stephanie Davis, 22, after learning she was the mastermind behind the practical joke.
She screeched at the time: "Why is one of Jeremy's shoes under one of my pillows. It's not nice. I've got to sleep in it. I feel like pulling all of the stuff off of her bed and p**s in it.
"Does she want me to go and hock a f***ing greeny up all over her bed? She's getting away with f***ing murder in this gaff."
Meanwhile, Danniella was forced to seek medical help when her dentures, which she had fitted after losing her back teeth in a car accident, got wedged in her food.
She said recently: "I've had sleepless nights and crying about the state my teeth are in.
"Sometimes you want to go out for dinner and have a great big bit of steak but I can't do that - I'll probably bite in to it and [the implant] will be stuck in the meat."

Lady Colin Campbell to join CBB?

Lady Colin Campbell is keen to take part in the next series of 'Celebrity Big Brother' - but only if she's offered £5 million.
The 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' star, who was known for unleashing her acid tongue in the jungle last year, is desperate to cause mayhem in the infamous house but has warned bosses they'll only be able to snap her up for the summer show if they promise to give her the hefty sum.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "I would go into the Big Brother house for £5 million. That is how much I would ask for if they want me. You may see me this summer on television but I am not allowed to say if I am doing the show or not."
The 66-year-old socialite hit the headlines late last year when she threatened to sue her fellow campmates Tony Hadley and Duncan Bannatyne for allegedly "bullying" her out of the Australian jungle and forcing her to quit the tough show.
However, it wasn't just the Spandau Ballet singer and the 'Dragons' Den' star who locked horns with Lady C as she regularly found herself embroiled in a war of words with the rest of the camp when she voiced her controversial opinions.
But it wasn't just her vicious remarks that provided endless entertainment for viewers, as her refusal to take part in the creepy-crawly Bushtucker Trials, which subsequently led to the camp without food, also created a barrel of laughs.

Sinitta ‘punched in face’ by Dawn Ward following blazing row

Sinitta was "punched in the face" by 'Real Housewives Of Cheshire's Dawn Ward during a blazing row at a restaurant in London last year, a court heard yesterday (04.02.16).
The 80s pop sensation has described the "embarrassing" moment she got a fist in her face and a napkin thrown at her after she clashed with the reality TV star at the Salmontini le Resto restaurant in Belgravia on April 1 when they met to "clear the air" over circulating online rumours.
Taking to the stand at Westminster Magistrates' Court, Sinitta said: "She was angry about what I was saying and she has just, you know, gotten angry, and jumped up and sort of shoved me. First of all she shoved me in my chest. The second time was like sort of hitting me in the face.
"At the same time I was quite shocked because I didn't really know what had happened, because I didn't really expect it to happen at all. I was trying, I suppose, to save face - defuse everything. But it was enough to feel, to hurt."
The brunette beauty - who is a former flame of music mogul Simon Cowell - then went on to claim Dawn, who is married to footballer Ashley Ward, threatened to "glass" her with the champagne flute she was sipping from.
She explained of the heated row: "She was telling me to shut my effing mouth, and all these kinds of things. At one point she threatened to put the glass in my face."
The court was then shown CCTV footage of the incident.
Lisa Judge, who was defending Dawn in court, later put it to Sinitta that she only went to the police to file a complaint after she was threatened with legal action following a message she posted Twitter on April 23 about the scrap.
Asked why she tweeted, Sinitta replied: "Because I thought it was my right to tweet it, to complain about the way I had been treated that day. Similarly, I tweet if I have had good day or a bad day."
Dawn has denied a single count of assault by beating and the case was adjourned until June 10.

Gemma Collins ditching ‘diva’ image

Gemma Collins wants to ditch the "diva" in her.
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' star is keen to wave goodbye to her alter ego GC in the hope people will see her for who she really is.
She said: "I take away so much from this. I will only flourish. I'm not afraid to say, 'I messed up.' I can look back at points and say, 'Oh, Gem. That weren't on.' But it's been a learning curve. But I wanna say I did have fun. There were high points and low points but the diva's got to go."
The 35-year-old television personality is looking forward to the future and revealed she has been offered a number of "lucrative deals" but insists she will first make an one-off return to 'The Only Way Is Essex' to help them celebrate their anniversary.
Speaking on Big Brother's Bit On The Side, she added: "I've got to be honest, it's so overwhelming. People are desperate to see Gemma. There are a few lucrative offers on the table and next week we will sign something.
"I will always love 'TOWIE'. I'm going back to film an anniversary episode with them this week. Who knows, I could bring all of them in for a couple of episodes. And we can't wait, because that sounds amazing."

Hannah Spearritt prefers acting

Hannah Spearritt prefers acting to singing nowadays.
The 34-year-old beauty may have shot into the limelight as a member of S Club 7 in 1999 but she has admitted her passion for music has taken a backseat over the past few years and she now sees herself as an actress rather than a singer.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "I just love acting. It's what I was about really. I used to do a lot of theatre and when I was 13, I did a lot of National Youth Theatre shows, so obviously with that I was doing a lot of singing, acting and dancing. To be honest, when I was younger, I probably wanted to be a singer. But I think over time, I kind of grew to love acting more. And now I definitely love it more because I've learnt more about it and it's more my thing now."
The blonde beauty recently landed a gig in the medical drama 'Casualty' as penniless drug addict Mercedes Christie and is currently residing in Wales while she shoots scenes.
She said of her schedule: "I've moved up to Wales - I'm in a hotel. And then I go back at weekends. I've been up in Wales since last November. It's quite nice because I've never been to Cardiff before. I seem to get lucky in the schedule so I seem to get a long weekend, which is really nice."

Neil Dudgeon wants Shirley Bassey in Midsomer Murders

Neil Dudgeon wants Dame Shirley Bassey to appear in 'Midsomer Murders'.
The 55-year-old actor - who plays DCI John Barnaby in the TV detective drama - always looks forward to working with the guest stars and new actors who come into the programme and he is sure the 'Goldfinger' singer would be brilliant to have in an episode.
Neil also thinks folk singer Billy Bragg could make a brilliant cameo in one of the villages in the county of Midsomer.
When asked who he'd like to guest star on the show, he said: "I like music and musicals so people from those worlds are fun. Shirley Bassey would be great in it. Billy Bragg would be great in it, I went to see him a few months ago and think he'd be brilliant playing in a folk festival or something. Although we had a folk festival a little while ago, maybe we missed our chance."
Neil admits he sometimes has fanboy moments on set, and he particularly loved working with 'The Day of the Jackal' star Edward Fox when he guested in the episode 'Dark Secrets' in 2011.
He told BANG Showbiz: "I want all sorts of people to be in the show and I do have the habit of offering the opportunity to be in it to quite a lot of people. Because I like them. I can't give you names because that would be betraying their confidence. And also if they do end up being in it then it spoils the surprise.
"The great thing, for me, about doing the show is when they tell me who is going to be in it I do feel like a fan sometimes. Like when I was told Edward Fox was going to be in it. I was thinking, 'That's Edward Fox from 'Day of the Jackal'.' Then lovely Edward Fox turns up and I'm acting with him, doing a scene with him. I feel like the 15 year old me watching television thinking, Isn't he brilliant and then here I am shooting a scene with him. Thinking isn't this fantastic. I love the older actors who I've seen on the telly and who are heroes of my youth who come in to 'Midsomer'."
Neil was speaking to launch 'Midsomer Murders CLUEDO' which takes the classic murder mystery board game but puts players in the world of the TV show.
When he was told of the game, the actor was shocked no one had thought about teaming up CLUEDO with his series before.
He said: "I think is a perfect collaboration. As soon as you hear about it you think, 'Why hasn't someone thought about this before?' It's so obvious. It's a perfect combination because you've got the characters from 'Midsomer Murders' and you've got to find the murderer. People keep saying to me there's only six episodes so in a couple of weeks the show will end and then people will be bereft and deprived of new episodes but with CLUEDO they can sit down in the comfort of their own home and enjoy playing the 'Midsomer Murders' game with the same characters - which include DCI John Barnaby, Sarah Barnaby and Sykes the dog. And the locations are places like Badger's Drift, Village Green and a Post Office. This is going to give you your fix of 'Midsomer Murders' when it's not on the telly."
'Midsomer Murders CLUEDO' is available to buy now on Amazon.
