Matt Smith excited for Chris Chibnall to take control of Doctor Who

Matt Smith believes Chris Chibnall will be a great 'Doctor Who' showrunner.
The former Eleventh Doctor is sure Chris will be a fantastic replacement for the outgoing boss Steven Moffat because he understands "the legacy" of the BBC One sci-fi series - on which he has worked on as a writer numerous times since it returned to TV in 2005.
Matt told Digital Spy: "I don't know him that well but I think he's a brilliant writer, I think he understands the show, the history of the show, the legacy.
"Steven pretty much is 'Doctor Who', but the show will always endure and there's a wonderful writer coming in and as always, it's about regeneration and reinvention of things."
Steven has been the executive producer and lead writer of 'Doctor Who' for the last six years after taking on the job from Russell T. Davies in 2009.
'Broadchurch' creator Chris will take over the key to the TARDIS in 2017 after Steven's final series.
Matt, 33, is "sad" Steven is leaving the programme because he thinks he's done great things with it and he'll always be grateful he cast him in the titular role.
The Pride and Prejudice and Zombies' star - who took over the part from David Tennant - confessed: "I'm sad he's leaving 'Doctor Who'. He's done so much for it and so much for me.
"He has done so much for the show and I feel very privileged that I got to work with, what I think, is the greatest writer - one of the greatest writers to have been involved in that show ... I'm excited to see what he does next."

Eamonn Holmes ‘going through hell’

Eamonn Holmes is "going through hell" as he recovers from a double hip replacement operation.
The 56-year-old presenter is in a lot of pain after going under the knife, but insists it is nothing compared with the agony he felt for years before having the procedure.
In a call to 'This Morning' earlier today (08.02.16), he said: "I am going through hell! No, the truth is, I think anyone would rather not be going through what I am but to anyone who is facing this operation, I want to say that the people here really do know what they are doing and the technology is so advanced.
"Yes, it is going to hurt a bit but this pain doesn't compare to what I was going through before."
Eamonn admitted he is finding everyday tasks very "difficult" but is grateful to the excellent medical staff who have been treating him.
He said: "At the moment, everything is difficult from charging my mobile phone to brushing my teeth. It's all just such an effort. Your head also becomes really foggy. But the health professionals do know what they are doing."
The 'Sunrise' presenter - who has three children from a previous marriage and son Jack, 13, with wife Ruth Langsford - is expecting his pain to get worse before it gets better.
He said: "I'm day four post operation and the truth is, this will get worse before it gets better.
"But the difference between this pain and the pain I was in before is that this will get better."

Danniella Westbrook teases EastEnders return

Danniella Westbrook has hinted she could be making an explosive return to 'EastEnders as Sam Mitchell this year.
The 42-year-old actress has been in "talks" with producers about reprising her role as the blonde bombshell in the BBC One soap as bosses attempt to reunite the whole Mitchell clan to bid farewell to matriarch Peggy (Dame Barbara Windsor, 78), as she loses her battle with cancer.
Speaking on 'This Morning today (08.02.16), she said: "They're [the bosses] in talks with my agent at the moment ... But you will probably see a bit of Sam Mitchell this year."
However, the troubled star has admitted her return - if it happens - won't be a permanent one as she's been offered a "different" part in another long-running rival soap.
She explained: "I've been offered a different soap that's more long term but I'm not going to say I won't be going back to 'EastEnders' for a small while. But I'm an actress and as much as I love being in 'EastEnders' and being Sam Mitchell, I want to do some other roles as well."
Meanwhile, Danniella first appeared in the soap in 1990 before she quit three years later due to personal troubles.
She returned to Albert Square in 1995 and left again in 1996, before popping back in 1999 and waving goodbye in 2000.
She then made a fleeting visit in 2009 when her alter-ego returned to Walford from Spain using a fake passport but she was forced to leave again in 2010 when Sam was arrested.
The role of the flighty beauty was also played by Kim Medcalf from 2002 until 2005, but it's not known which actress bosses will secure for the forthcoming episodes.

Beth Tweddle can move hands and feet after back surgery

Beth Tweddle can move her hands and feet following "successful" surgery on her broken back last night (07.02.16).
The Olympic gymnast, 30, underwent an emergency operation to fuse two fractured vertebrae in her neck after she was involved in a horror smash training for 'The Jump' on Saturday (06.02.16) and, despite being in a lot of pain, she's already started showing signs of a positive recovery.
Beth's parents, Ann and Jerry, said in a statement: "The early medical indications were positive as Beth was able to move her hands and feet, despite being in a lot of discomfort.
"At 20:00 GMT last night Beth was taken down for surgery where they took a piece of bone from her hip and used it to fuse the two vertebrae that were fractured, along with pinning them together. It was a scary time for all of us and we're just very grateful that the operation was a success."
The retired athlete, who has won the title of Britain's greatest ever gymnast, sparked concern among fans over the weekend when she was airlifted to a hospital in Austria after she ploughed into a barrier and damaged her spine.
Following the shocking accident, Beth has been left with no choice but to leave the competition - making her the third celebrity to quit the show due to injury.
'Holby City' actress Tina Hobley, 44, was forced to pull out last week after she dislocated her elbow and fractured her arm when the crew failed to vacate the landing area.
And Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington, 26, has also decided to depart the competition after she dislocated her shoulder while practicing the frightening air jump last week.

Stephanie Davis vows never to speak to Sam Reece again after toxic love affair

Stephanie Davis doesn't want to speak to her ex-boyfriend Sam Reece "ever again" following her toxic love triangle with Jeremy McConnell in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house.
The 22-year-old actress has reportedly cut all contact with the handsome model, whom she dated for over a year, following her controversial romance with the Irish hunk in the infamous abode last month and has now vowed to get on with her life.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Stephanie hasn't spoken to Sam since she left the house - and she won't. Their toxic relationship is well and truly over and Steph is moving forward with her life. Sam doesn't want anything to do with her and is happy doing public appearances across the country."
The former 'Hollyoaks' actress and Jeremy, 25, hit the headlines after they embarked on a steamy affair, while the brunette beauty's heartbroken boyfriend Sam was forced to watch their romance flourish on national television.
But, although many people felt sorry for Sam as he watched the situation unfold, Stephanie has since claimed her romance with the model was on the rocks before she even entered the house because he'd also done the dirty on her.
She said recently: "The truth is, if things were happy at home then all of this wouldn't have happened. Sam hurt me and broke my heart. He made me feel worthless."

Sam Faiers fined £100k by hair extension firm

Sam Faiers has been slapped with a £100,000 fine following a "nightmare" legal battle with a hair extension firm.
The former 'TOWIE' star - who has earnt an estimated £4.2 million since 2010 - became entangled in a bitter dispute with Additional Lengths after she broke her ambassadorial contract with the firm by promoting a rival product in 2011.
Additional Lengths owner Victoria Lynch told The Sun newspaper: "The whole situation has been a nightmare. We could have had an ambassador who actually did their job and made us bigger than ever. Now we have to start a new marketing campaign."
The 25-year-old reality TV star, who was paid £12,500 to be the face of the brand, found herself in hot water just three months after she landed her deal in 2011 when she tweeted about hair extensions ruining girls' real hair.
Additional Lengths threatened to take Sam to court over the claims but the war of words was later settled privately after her management claimed she had been "naive" and offered to relaunch the product with a funded photoshoot.
However, two weeks before the campaign was scheduled to be shot, Sam locked horns with the hair brand again when she was seen getting her 'do done at a rival salon.
Victoria explained: "I don't think Sam is as 'naive' as they make out -- and now they have to part with a lot of money."
Victoria decided to take the dispute to court three years ago and, after a lengthy battle which saw Sam go through five teams of lawyers, the case was settled last week.

Beth Tweddle needs surgery on back after The Jump horror smash

Beth Tweddle needs emergency surgery on her back following a horror smash on 'The Jump' over the weekend.
The Olympic gymnast was airlifted to hospital on Saturday (06.02.16) after she ploughed into a barrier and damaged her spine while practicing for the winter sports show.
Beth's mother and father Ann and Jerry announced in a statement yesterday (07.02.16): "Beth had a fall on the slopes whilst in training for 'The Jump'. She is stable and due to undergo routine surgery on her back.
"Beth and the family would like to thank everyone for their good wishes. We will keep you updated on her progress."
Following the shocking accident, the 30-year-old athlete has been left with no choice but to leave the competition - making her the third celebrity to quit the show due to injury.
'Holby City' actress Tina Hobley, 44, was also forced to pull out last week after she dislocated her elbow and fractured her arm when the crew failed to vacate the landing area.
And Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington, 26, has decided to depart the competition after she dislocated her shoulder while practicing the frightening air jump last week.
Meanwhile, Paralympian Heather Mills, 48, who lost her leg below the knee in 1993 after a collision with a motorcycle, has been called in to take Rebecca's place on the show.
And the ex-wife of Sir Paul McCartney is no doubt looking forward to getting back out on the slopes after she took part last year but was eliminated in the first round.

Rita Ora to return to The Voice?

Rita Ora is set to make a shocking return to 'The Voice'.
The 'Body on Me' hitmaker turned her back on the BBC One singing show two years ago to join rival 'The X Factor' but it now looks like she's planning to reclaim her spinning chair on the programme next year when it makes its shift to ITV.
A source explained to the Daily Star newspaper: "Rita is one of the hottest properties in entertainment so it is no surprise 'The Voice' producers want her back. They were devastated when she moved to 'The X Factor' last year.
"But now it looks like she won't be doing the next series, it means they've got a chance of poaching her."
The 25-year-old singer, who helped Louisa Johnson swipe the winner's crown last year, has sparked speculation she's decided not to return to 'The X Factor' when the new series hits screens later this year after her arrival on the panel coincided with the plunging ratings and heavy criticism.
The insider said: "'The X Factor' ratings were dismal last year so it is no surprise Rita is keen to walk away.
"A return to 'The Voice' is very possible because she loved being a coach last time."
Meanwhile, 'The Voice', which has been aired on BBC for the last four years, will return to screens next year on ITV after it was poached in a deal worth an estimated £33 million.

James Argent’s The Jump relieft

James 'Arg' Argent is relieved to be leaving 'The Jump' in one piece.
The 'Only Way is Essex' star has become the latest star to leave the competition after recording the lowest air jump and failing to impress during the earlier gruelling snow cross challenge but insisted finishing the competition without injury was a victory.
Speaking after recording a height of just 8.06m, he said: "Of course I'm disappointed but it was the first time I've ever gone from the top. At least I can say that I've done it and I've tried. I think my mum will be very pleased if I went home in one piece."
It's not surprising that Arg and his mother are relieved at his lack of injuries, with a number of other celebrities leaving the competition on a stretcher.
Olympic bronze medal gymnast Beth Tweddle was forced to pull out of the Channel 4 show after crashing into a barrier while attempting the big jump and now her parents have revealed that Beth will require surgery on her back.
They said in a statement: "Yesterday Beth had a fall on the slopes whilst in training for The Jump.
"She is stable and due to undergo routine surgery on her back. Beth and the family would like to thank everyone for their good wishes.
"We will keep you updated on her progress."
Tina Hobley withdrew after injuring her arm in training while Rebecca Adlington is also out of the competition after dislocating her shoulder last week.
