The Vicar of Dibley for TV comeback

'The Vicar of Dibley' is set to make a TV comeback.
Dawn French has teased the classic comedy could make a return in the near future after almost a decade off screen as her hilarious alter-ego Reverend Geraldine Granger, which she portrayed for 13 years, is promoted to Bishop.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said of the possibility of a spin-off: "You know we now have Church law in the UK that women could be Bishops, so who knows? Watch this space -- she might get a promotion!"
However, the 58-year-old comedian has admitted big changes would need to be made if she were to create a spin-off as the show would never be the same without her late co-star Roger Lloyd-Pack, who played farmer Owen Newitt, following his tragic death two years ago.
She explained: "Our old guys are really old now, so I don't think we could revisit it, because it's just too different. But it could change."
The programme, which was created by Richard Curtis, has won three British Comedy Awards, a National Television Award, and had over 12 million viewers tune into the last episode in 2007.
Dawn said: "It was incredibly popular in the UK -- as it here, which I'm delighted to know. So you kind of get elevated to a status that you're very lucky and privileged to have."

Mark Wright to host anniversary episode of The Only Way is Essex

Mark Wright is set to host a forthcoming anniversary episode of 'The Only Way is Essex'.
The 29-year-old presenter turned his back on the reality TV series - the programme that made him famous - in 2011 but he is preparing to return to his routes to provide the voiceover for a one-off special as he explores the impact the show, which has run for six years, has had on the county.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he explained: "We are doing an anniversary episode and talking about the success and the power of the show. They've asked me to do the voiceover and host the show. It's a serious programme. People like to talk about 'TOWIE' in a bad way and tarnish it.
"But Brentwood high street has changed so much, and the local hotels do great business because of it. I have been speaking to a local MP and someone who has done 'TOWIE' tours. I'm looking forward to doing that."
However, the handsome star, who joined the hit series in 2010, is adamant he'll never return to 'TOWIE' full-time, despite the fact his sister Jessica Wright and best friend James 'Arg' Argent still have a regular role on the show.
He said recently: "I don't think I'd ever go back to 'The Only Way is Essex'. I just want to stick to presenting now."

Faye Brookes’ nervous lesbian smooch

'Coronation Street's Faye Brookes was crippled with nerves when she shot her first ever lesbian kiss.
The 28-year-old actress joined the long-running soap last September as sex siren Kate Connor and, although she has a catalogue of acting experience under her belt, she was terrified when she had to lock lips with Rhea Bailey, who plays her soldier fiancée Caz, for their steamy love story.
She explained: "It was the first time I'd ever kissed a girl. Both Rhea and I were nervous and we had to talk to each other a lot. It was the first day I had ever met Rhea too.
"We read the scripts together first but that was nothing compared to having to actually kiss her. There were hands everywhere. Luckily, we had chemistry. We wanted to make it believable, real and loving. I was really glad that Rhea was open to whatever I had to say and I was all ears to her ideas."
And, despite her initial nerves about tongue-twirling with someone of the same sex, the brunette beauty actually discovered it's easier to smooch a girl than a guy on screen.
Faye - who has been dating singer Gareth Gates for three years - told The Sun newspaper: "In some ways it was easier than kissing a guy. I loved how open she was. I've kissed loads of guys on stage and this was very different."
Meanwhile, as fans are gearing up to watch Kate and Caz tie the knot - 'Corrie's first ever gay marriage - in April, Faye has teased her alter-ego may not get her happy ending after all.

Catherine Tyldesley doesn’t want to leave Coronation Street

Catherine Tyldesley is planning to stay on 'Coronation Street' until she's in her mid-80s.
The 32-year-old actress joined the long-running soap in 2011 as bitchy diva Eva Price and, although she's desperate to nip off and try her hand at other things, she'd love to see her flirtatious alter-ego still pulling pints behind the Rovers Return pub, chatting up the men, and flashing her ample cleavage on the Cobbles in five decades' time.
She explained: "I adore 'Corrie' ... but there are lots of other things I want to do, and I want to be versatile, so it would be nice to go off and do other bits and pieces.
"But I would hope that no matter what happens, 'Corrie' will always be somewhere I can come home to. I'd love to see Eva at 80-odd, still behind the Rovers bar with her boobs up to here, setting the world to rights."
The blonde beauty is currently wrapped up in a gritty slavery storyline, which sees her character find a young Polish girl called Marta hiding out in the lingerie factory Underworld illegally, and she's thrilled she's finally able to get her teeth into a more hard-hitting plot.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "It shows a different side to Eva. We've seen the comedy and this often bitchy, sarcastic side of her, but deep down she has a heart of gold, and it's nice to have some gritty storylines."
And, although she's regularly finding herself caught up in some major storylines, Catherine has admitted she feared she'd be axed from the soap a few years ago when Michelle Collins and Sue Johnston - who played her on-screen mum and gran - dramatically quit the programme.

James Argent leaves The Jump

James 'Arg' Argent has been eliminated from 'The Jump' - again.
The 'Only Way is Essex' star's poor performance last week saw him ousted from the tough winter sports competition, but he returned ahead of last night's (14.02.16) parallel slalom in place of injured Olympian Linford Christie, and again failed to impress.
Arg found himself facing the air jump again after losing to Sarah Harding in their race, and managed to record a distance of just 8.27m, losing his place in the competition.
But he didn't seem too upset as he exclaimed: "I can go back to Essex!"
He had earlier apologised to Lindford when he was defeated in the skiing race after tumbling on the slopes.
He said: "I'm gutted - I bottled it, I got nervous. I tried my best Linford, sorry if I let you down."
During the elimination round, Arg went up against fellow parallel slalom losers Sid Owen, Tamara Beckwith - who was beaten by Heather Mills, a replacement contestant who was previously eliminated in the last series of the show - and Brian McFadden, as well as reserve contestants Ben Cohen and Joe Swash.
Ben and Joe had raced against one another but stumbled and fell, missing the last gate on the course, meaning they had to compete in the air jump due to a technicality.

Kate Wright to move in with Dan Edgar

Kate Wright wants to move in with her boyfriend Dan Edgar.
The 'Only Way is Essex' beauty rekindled her relationship with her handsome star on the last series of the reality TV show after he made a very public attempt to win her back, and now she's keen to take their romance to the next level.
She explained: "I am still with Dan, yes. We're hoping to move out soon."
But the 24-year-old star is adamant she and Dan, who have been dating on and off for five years, won't be heading down the aisle any time soon because they want to take things slow.
She said: "We have spoken about marriage but that won't happen for a while. Marriage is a long way off."
The couple dated for four years prior to their sudden break up last year, during which time Dan hooked up with his co-star Jess Wright, but Kate is thrilled they managed to work through their problems and reignite their spark.
She added: "Just go out and party, it is the only way to get through a break up I think. I do prefer being in a relationship."

Zoe Henry: Reality TV isn’t my thing

Zoe Henry doesn't think reality TV is her "cup of tea."
The 'Emmerdale' star - who is known for playing lovable vet Rhona Goskirk in the soap - has admitted she's not keen on competing on a celebrity-based programme because it's not her style but, if she had to choose one, she would quite like to slip into some ballroom shoes for 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
She explained: "The obvious one [I'd lie to take part in] is 'Strictly Come Dancing' because of the dresses and the skills that you learn. But I'm not sure reality TV is my cup of tea."
And, although Zoe enjoys snuggling up on the sofa with her husband-and-co-star Jeff Hordley in front of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!', she had admitted she'd never be persuaded to slip into jungle gear and head to the outback.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she explained: "That's not to say I don't enjoy watching reality TV shows. I love 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'.
"It's mine and Jeff's favourite - everything stops while it's on, and we love it. But neither of us would ever do it."

Sarah Harding spotted with new man while filming The Jump

Sarah Harding has reportedly been dating a mystery man on the set of 'The Jump'.
The former Girls Aloud star, 34, recently left her fellow celebrities behind on the set of the TV show so she could enjoy some one-on-one time with the unidentified man.
The couple were seen walking hand-in-hand and stopped to do a bit of shopping too.
A source said: "Sarah seemed blissfully happy and very loved up.
"Her new man had come out to visit her from Manchester.
"They clearly enjoyed the slopes together and Sarah seemed very cheerful."
Meanwhile, unlike some of her fellow contestants on the reality TV contest, Sarah has managed to stay injury-free.
However, the singer and actress - whose previous relationship ended in July last year - has been receiving physiotherapy in a bid to win the much-discussed show, which has been blighted by a series of injuries to its participants.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "She is very grateful that she is still in one piece.
"She is quite competitive and is loving the competition.
"Sarah is quietly confident that she will make it through to the next round."

Will.i.am undecided if he will return to The Voice

Will.i.am isn't sure if he will return for the next series of 'The Voice'.
The 40-year-old music producer has become a fixture of the singing contest but has admitted that with the programme set to move to ITV, he isn't certain he also wishes to make the switch, in large part due to his loyalty to producer Moira Ross.
He explained: "I love Moira and it's going to be hard if she's not there.
"My gut is telling me to see out this season first. I don't want to make my decision until then. No matter what network it is on I do like the poetry of 'The Voice'.
"While everyone else is going, 'I'm going to judge the f*** out of you, 'The Voice' is the opposite of that."
Meanwhile, Will.i.am also revealed he wanted to see the programme's voting system during the live finals undergo a revamp.
He told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "What's wrong with 'The Voice' is that people are not allowed to vote on the internet or phone apps. It drives me crazy when I'm on Twitter seeing who is really liked."
