Gaynor Faye rules out another on-screen pregnancy

'Emmerdale's Gaynor Faye doesn't want to play a pregnant woman ever again on-screen.
The 44-year-old actress' alter-ego Megan Macey is just about to give birth to her little bundle of joy in the long-running soap but she has admitted shooting the bloody scenes have been horrific and she's going to make sure bosses never write her character a pregnancy storyline ever again by making them sign a contract.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she explained: "I think I'm done now. I'm going to have it written in my contract next time - I'm never going to have another baby on screen."
But this isn't the first time Gaynor has been forced to give birth on-screen as she also had to pretend she was in labour with twins when she played Judy Mallet in 'Coronation Street' in 1999.
She said: "Do you know what, I never thought I'd be doing any more on-screen labour - you kind of get to an age, don't you! I gave birth in 'Coronation Street' to twins - I've given birth in a few shows that I've done and on stage, twice. It is quite a strange thing to be there with your legs spread in front of a camera crew."
Meanwhile, Gaynor's alter-ego is left fearing for her and her unborn child's life later this week when she goes into labour in the woods following an intense conversation with Sam Dingle (James Hooton) about their "platonic" relationship.
But things go from bad to worse when Sam is accidentally shot by his dad Zak's love interest Joanie Wright (Denise Black) and Megan is left to go through the labour alone.

James Martin quits Saturday Kitchen

James Martin has quit 'Saturday Kitchen'.
The 43-year-old TV chef has decided to turn his back on the BBC One weekend programme following a decade fronting the tummy-gurgling show in order to work on new projects.
He said: "I would like to personally thank all the viewers for turning 'Saturday Kitchen' into a three million-plus smash hit. I could not have done it without them.
"I would also like to thank the BBC and 'Saturday Kitchen' for the great opportunity they have given me. It has been an amazing journey and I have been privileged to work with some of the world's greatest chefs and some of the greatest names in showbiz. I wish the new chefs every success."
The presenter will hang up his apron and oven gloves in March but will continue on screen until April when new guest hosts will step in to provide the nation with delicious recipes.
And, although he's sad to see the back of the cookery show, James is looking forward to having a lie-in on Saturdays.
He said: "I am looking forward to getting stuck into my new projects and to lots of lie-ins on a Saturday morning."
However, the chef won't be turning away from the kitchen completely as he'll still front 'Saturday Kitchen Best Bites', which airs on BBC Two, on Sunday mornings.

The Royle Family to make a return?

'The Royle Family' will "probably" return this year.
Ricky Tomlinson - who is known for playing patriarchal slob James Randolph 'Jim' Royle in the BBC classic - believes there's a big chance the family-loving sitcom could hit screens again in the future as Caroline Aherne, who portrays his on-screen daughter Denise, is eager to start working on new episodes after she recovered from her "rough patch."
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "Yeah, I think it possibly could [come back]. There could possibly be one this year because Caroline is so much better.
"She had a little rough patch and she's so much better now and God willing we'll probably do one this year."
Caroline, 52, has been battling with ill health for last two years after she was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2014.
The blonde beauty - who has also fought bladder and retina cancer - sparked concerns for her health last October when she had to be replaced as the narrator on 'Gogglebox'.
Meanwhile, fans will be delighted to hear 'The Royle Family', which also stars Sue Johnston and Jessica Hynes, is in the pipeline for a return after it left screens in 2002.
The hilarious sitcom, which first aired in 1998, returned for five one-off specials between 2006 and Christmas 2012.

Danniella Westbrook trying for a baby

Danniella Westbrook is trying for a baby with her toyboy lover.
The 42-year-old actress - who has son Kai, 19, from a previous relationship with Robert Fernandez and daughter Jody, 14, with estranged husband Kevin Jenkins - may have only been been dating George Arnold, 24, for four months but the couple aren't wasting any time as they are planning to get married this year and start a family of their own.
She said: "George and I have just bought a house together and I'm excited to get married to him this year. We're also going to start trying for a baby."
The former 'EastEnders' star is so keen to have a kid with George that she is going to have fertility treatment if the couple cannot have a child naturally
She explained: "If it doesn't work within two months, I'll have IVF. I'd love to be a mum again. I feel like this could be my happy ending."
Danniella has had a rough couple of years after splitting from husband Kevin in 2014 and relapsing on drugs, but admits meeting George has helped her recover.
She added to Closer magazine: "The past two years have been awful but I've softened now and let my guard down because I've met George. Since I met him I've had a smile on my face every day and we would love to get married, so once my divorce has gone through, we'll do that."

Alesha Dixon wants to host US chat show

Alesha Dixon wants her own American chat show.
The 37-year-old singer is keen to carve out a career across the pond and has been having "productive" discussions with US TV producers about hosting her own talk show to rival Oprah.
Speaking to the RadioTimes.com, she said: "I am having some productive meetings - most meetings in America are. One day I would like to have my own chat show. Oprah is my idol because she uses her platform so responsibly."
And the 'Britain's Got Talent' judge has even hired a voice coach and has been undergoing acting lessons to boost her chances of success stateside.
She explained: "I have got a new voice agent and I am also looking at some acting. I would like to set myself some new challenges. I am constantly thinking of different ideas and formats for TV shows. I am in a place where anything is possible if you want to do it."
But, for now, the brunette beauty is currently tied up with her judging gig on 'Britain's Got Talent' after she returned to the panel, alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and David Walliams, earlier this month for the fourth year running.

Sir David Attenborough to present new Planet Earth II

Sir David Attenborough is set to present the follow-up to his ground-breaking documentary 'Planet Earth'.
The 89-year-old naturalist - who is known for his therapeutic voice-overs - is gearing up to narrate the forthcoming natural history series 'Planet Earth II', a collection of six one-hour nature episodes, a decade after the first show hit screens.
Speaking about his new challenge, he said: "I am very excited to once again be working with the Natural History Unit on its latest landmark series and am especially looking forward to getting out on location in the next month or so."
The forthcoming show, which originally used the working title 'One Planet', will be the most high-tech series ever mounted by the corporation as it uses ultra-high-speed cameras mounted on drones to "uncover stories about the natural world we have simply never been able to witness before."
Charlotte Moore, the BBC's controller of TV channels, said: "A decade on from Sir David Attenborough's 'Planet Earth', this new series promises to be an extraordinary experience for our audience. [It's been] filmed over three years across the globe with all the very latest technology."
'Planet Earth II' is set to hit screens later this year.

Bez wants to join Strictly Come Dancing

Bez wants to compete on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 51-year-old music legend, whose real name is Mark Berry, believes he's got what it takes to lift the glitterball trophy and is begging producers to sign him up to the next series of the BBC One ballroom and Latin programme.
He explained: "Strictly Come Dancing?' I'd have a top time and give it 100 per cent. I reckon I could go all the way...dancing has made me famous, and entertaining people is what I do best. I've lost count of the number of blokes who've come up to me over the years and said 'thanks for making it OK for indie guys to get on the dance floor.' "
Meanwhile, this won't be the first time Bez - who has declared himself bankrupt twice - has tried his hand at a reality TV show as he also competed on 'Celebrity Big Brother' in 2005.
The rocker - who is known for his obscure dance moves when he's on stage - won the series and believes he was such a hit with the public because he's such a "decent bloke."
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'm a man of the people, a man for all people. I reckon that's why I won 'Celebrity Big Brother'. People saw the real me, a decent bloke.
"I always deliver on my promises, and I can promise that doing 'Strictly' would be as much of an entertaining laugh for the viewers at it would be for me. Bring it on; I'm well up for it!"

James May couldn’t work mirrors on flash Ferrari

James May couldn't work out how to fold back the wing mirrors on his £250,000 Ferrari.
The former 'Top Gear' host splashed out on the limited edition motor last April but struggled to handle all of its snazzy features and had to quickly hop out of the car in order to manually push back the reflectors on the passenger side.
He explained: "The first time I arrived at the garage door I rotated the mirror knob to fold in the mirrors and nothing happened. Each time I park I have to get out to fold the mirrors, and then get back in again."
The 53-year-old presenter bought the sports car, which reaches a speed of 202 mph, after he, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond were promised a three-year contract to host the BBC Two motoring show last year.
He said: "We were all three of us on the brink of a new three-year contract. I decided to reward myself with a new motor from Maranello."
But he soon regretted that spontaneous splurge after the trio were allegedly dropped from the programme following Jeremy's controversial outburst last year.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Then, suddenly, it had all gone. Oh c**k, as I used to say when I was on telly."

EastEnders set to get mosque

The BBC are building a mosque on the 'EastEnders' set.
Organisers of the popular soap are reportedly planning to add the building to their set in a £15 million upgrade.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "[The new set] will be as authentic as East London today, including a mosque."
Whilst a spokesperson for the BBC added: "The new set will better reflect the East End on screen as well as increase the potential for storylines."
And 'EastEnders' is getting another major shake up as Dominic Treadwell-Collins recently confirmed he will be quitting his role as executive producer.
Speaking to announce his departure, he said: "My love for 'EastEnders' is no secret and so the decision to leave Walford has not been one I have taken lightly.
"When I commit to something, I always give it my all - and after two and a half years of giving my blood to Walford, it is time for me to move on to other things - and keep 'EastEnders' creatively refreshed, something that it has to do to stay at the top of its game.
"I made the decision to leave back in the summer but decided to stay longer for two reasons. Firstly, to oversee Peggy's last episodes, which will air in May. When Dame Barbara comes to you to produce her final episodes, you cannot say no. Secondly, I needed to find the right person to take over from me."
