'Death in Paradise' is set to return for its sixth series.
The light-hearted crime drama has been given the go-ahead for another sun-soaked season next year following a ratings success of over six million throughout its fifth run.
Tim Key, executive producer at the BBC, said: "I'm delighted that the fifth series of 'Death In Paradise' has proved so popular. We've got more ambitious plans for series six, with a whole host of intriguing puzzles as well as the joy of working with our amazing cast and guest stars. We can't wait to get back to Guadeloupe and start shooting."
The next installment will consist of eight hour-long episodes as goofy DI Humphrey Goodman, played by Kris Marshall, attempts to solve murders alongside his Honore police team.
But it's not just his impressive talent at solving mind-boggling crimes on the fictional island of Saint Marie that keep viewers tuned in every week as DI Humphrey's clumsy habits and disastrous love life also keeps fans gripped.
Meanwhile, series five's finale is set to be an explosive one as it'll see the wedding of the hapless hunk's colleague JP Hooper (Tobi Bakare) as he reminisces on his own love life.
But, although he's struggling to snap up a companion on the warm sandy island, series six could see the DI fall in love.

Nadia Sawalha has a binge-eating disorder.
The 'Loose Women' panellist has admitted she's been attending Overeaters Anonymous for the past few years to help stamp out her bad food habits after she realised she was using calorific grub to hide her true emotions.
She explained: "For years, right from a child, I was a compulsive eater ... I'm a very happy person, I had a very happy childhood and I love my life but I also had a long period of my life where my eating was out of control. I ate to shut up things that I didn't want to feel."
The 51-year-old presenter had such a battle with food that she'd even consider swiping rotten pieces of leftovers out of the bin after her family had polished up their dinner.
She said: "I remember when I used to steal money from my lovely dad's pockets and go and buy a carrier bag of sweets and biscuits. I wasn't hungry, I just wanted to calm me down. "I used to scrape things into the rubbish and then pour washing up liquid over it so I couldn't eat it."
However, the curly-haired beauty turned to the aid group after stumbling upon it while visiting her husband Mark Adderley, whom she married in 2002, in rehab and has now managed to carve a positive relationship with food.
Speaking on the lunchtime show, she said: "I've spoken before about my amazing husband, who has been sober for 12 years after being an alcoholic, and when he went to the priory, I also, as a family member, had to go in regularly and I started going to these meetings and then I discovered that what I was doing was actually not the norm.
"I started going to Overeaters Anonymous ... and I am very different about my food now than i was when I was a young person. Food is there to nourish me, I love to cook, I love to eat but I no longer eat to shut up my feelings."

Sir Tom Jones is reportedly returning to 'The Voice'.
The 'Sex Bomb' hitmaker was dropped from the BBC One singing show's mentoring panel last year but bosses are keen to persuade the music legend to return as a coach for the next series when the programme shifts to ITV next year.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "The people at ITV are aware there were reasons why the BBC wanted him out, but he's a big name and they are keen to get him back - especially if it's on far less money."
The 75-year-old singer, who was reportedly raking in £500,000 when he was employed by the BBC, is desperate to reclaim his red spinning chair next year and is even willing to take a pay cut of £350,000 to ensure he gets his place.
Tom was sensationally let go of by the BBC in August last year despite being on the show since it first started and, at the time, lashed out at the broadcaster for its decision
But mentor Paloma Faith - who is a coach alongside Boy George, will.i.am and Ricky Wilson on the current series - previously said she doesn't think Tom needs the show.
She told BANG Showbiz: "We all agreed that Sir Tom Jones has also got other fish to fry and has been frying for his whole career and is still going to be frying.
"He's going to be fine, I don't think Tom needs 'The Voice' to have a career, he's an incredible human being, so he knows that, everybody here does. It's a separate thing."

Sam Faiers may consider a return to 'The Only Way is Essex'.
The 25-year-old reality TV star - who left the show in 2014 following four years airing her life on camera - hasn't completely turned her back on the programme that made her famous and would think about joining her former castmates for another series, but her boyfriend Paul Knightley, with whom she has seven-week-old son Paul, would never allow a production team into his life again.
Bobby Norris, who joined 'TOWIE' in 2012, said: "I think Sam might dip her Shellac toe in the water again one day. [But] I don't think Paul will be signing up to 'TOWIE'."
Paul, a property developer, found himself at the centre of a heated debate earlier this month after he was filmed sharing a peck on the lips with his mum Gaynor for the couple's one-off parenthood documentary 'Sam Faiers' Baby Diaries'.
And Chloe Sims - who bonded with Sam when she was dating her cousin Joey Essex briefly a few years ago - believes the backlash Paul has received over the past few weeks has put him off starring in a reality show ever again.
Speaking to Digital Spy, she explained: "[He won't join 'TOWIE'] now that he's had a taste of bad publicity."

Mark Wright doesn't want to work with Michelle Keegan.
The former 'TOWIE' star is determined to carve out a successful presenting career on his own and believes teaming up with his wife for a TV gig would be "too much."
He explained: "We're both aware we're not at the peak of our career. We're on the rise. While we're trying to make it to where we want to be, we want to do it on our own.
"I want to get credit for doing a prime-time high-rating TV show without it being because I'm with Michelle. My career's so important to me. If we work together it's too much."
And the 29-year-old hunk is so committed to work that he doesn't plan on dashing out to South Africa at the drop of a hat when Michelle, whom he married last year, jets out to shoot scenes for series two of the military drama 'Our Girl'.
He said: "It's not a big deal. It's life. Everyone's saying we're going to be heartbroken.
"Of course we are going to miss each other, but it's fine. I will go out there as much as I can, maybe once or twice. But I've obviously got my commitments."
Meanwhile, the couple may have only been married nine months but Mark believes Michelle, 28, whom he started dating in 2012, has managed to shake his party-loving ways.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: "I used to be such a going-out person, but I've noticed a transition in the last four years, going from a boy to a man.
"I've really noticed my changes and my outlook on life. When I was young, I was a lad, I'd get drunk three times a week. Now I take life a little bit more seriously."

James Martin made "colossal" sacrifices when he agreed to present 'Saturday Kitchen'.
The 43-year-old TV chef has fronted the BBC One weekend programme for the last decade and he has admitted he's had to put so much of his personal life on the back burner in order to host the tummy-gurgling show every weekend.
The hunk explained to the Readers Digest magazine: "It's a lifestyle choice. The sacrifices you make doing your job are colossal, but the rewards are huge."
But, although he often thinks about what could have been, James is adamant he's "fine" with the choices he's made.
The chef - who has a huge car collection - said: "All your mates are married and have children. It was quite funny - my friends came over to my house last week and we were walking through my garages when one of them said: 'So this is what you could have had if you didn't have kids."
Meanwhile, James shocked the nation yesterday (23.02.16) when he announced he was turning his back on 'Saturday Kitchen' in order to try his hand at other things.
The presenter will hang up his apron and oven gloves in March but will continue on screen until April when new guest hosts will step in to provide the nation with delicious recipes.
However, he won't be turning away from the kitchen completely as he'll still front 'Saturday Kitchen Best Bites', which airs on BBC Two, on Sunday mornings.

Dermot O'Leary could return to host 'The X Factor'.
The 42-year-old star chose to step down from his presenting role on the ITV show ahead of last year's series after nearly a decade at the helm but it is thought he may sign a new deal after Caroline Flack and Olly Murs chose to leave their positions as co-hosts.
A source said: "Dermot will come back to 'The X Factor'. Talks are under way on his deal but everything is positive. Everyone, including Dermot and Simon [Cowell], has the will to make it work."
And Dermot is said to be in a good position when it comes to negotiating a contract after Olly and Caroline made a number of errors during last year's live shows.
Another insider added to The Sun newspaper: "Producers have realised you can't take any risks with the presenter of the show. You need someone really good who can cope with live TV. It is a massive skill and there are not many people who have it.
"There is even talk Dermot could be offered the presenting job for the rest of the show's life when a new deal is signed with ITV. Bosses are looking at a two or three-year contract for him."

Georgia Kousoulou has threatened to dump Tommy Mallet if he doesn't propose to her by the end of the year.
The 'Only Way is Essex' star, 24, is pushing her handsome beau, whom she has been dating for a year, to put a diamond sparkler on her ring finger within the next nine months otherwise she'll have no choice but to end their relationship.
She explained: "Basically I'm going to move in [with Tommy] and getting engaged this year."
Tommy added with a giggle: "You said you were going to dump me if we don't!"
However, the fashion designer doesn't want to push things too fast because he's worried it will drive them apart.
Asked when they'll move in together, Tommy said: "It will be this year, but we've got a few things to do before we settle down. We want to make sure we're perfect because moving in together is a serious step.
"You start struggling with the bills, Georgia doesn't shut the cupboard doors and she doesn't make the bed."
And the couple have already started thinking ahead to children as Tommy is adamant he'll have no choice but to step away from the limelight once he becomes a father.
Asked if they'll leave the show once they have children, the strawberry-blonde hunk told Star magazine: "I will, Georgia won't. My passion is for fashion. I like 'TOWIE' but in the next few years I'd like to step out of the limelight."
