Alan Hansen doesn’t think Gary Lineker should act

Alan Hansen was very impressed by Gary Lineker's acting skills when they filmed their new Walkers crisps advert - but he doesn't think his friend is good enough to make movies.
The retired pundit worked with Gary for many years on BBC's football highlights show 'Match of the Day' and he's teamed up with him again and fellow soccer expert Jamie Redknapp to make a promo for Walkers new Tear 'n' Share crisp range.
Alan readily admits he and Jamie struggled to get their scenes right, but Gary, who has been the face of the snack brand for 21 years, was a natural in front of the cameras.
However, he insists the former England striker doesn't have the talent to make the jump to the big screen.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "We never stopped laughing because Gary has been doing it a long time and he's absolutely terrific doing his facial poses and reactions. Jamie and I were just useless, I'm not kidding you, we were so bad at acting. That's why we never stopped laughing. It was so funny because we just could not get the hang of what was going on but Lineker was terrific I must admit. I was very impressed with Gary's acting abilities, he sailed through and me and Jamie could have been doing it another month and we wouldn't have got it right. He's good but he's not good enough to be a film, no way. He's good at doing the adverts but that's it."
And, although he's got his first taste of acting, Alan is adamant he'll never attempt shooting an advert again.
He said: "Doing the advert hasn't given me the acting bug I think you'll find that's the last advert I'll ever do. It was so bad I thought that'll do for me."
Alan is fronting the new Walkers Tear 'n' Share campaign with fellow football legends Gary and Jamie. To watch the new advert visit www.youtube.com/walkerscrisps.

Caroline Flack to pursue acting career?

Caroline Flack may give up presenting altogether.
The 36-year-old presenter, who this week quit her co-hosting job on 'The X Factor', would consider trying her hand at becoming an actress if the right job came along.
On pursuing acting, she said: "I probably will do something like that. We've got a few projects in line. It's about finding the right one, and not just doing it for the for the sake of it."
However, the 36-year-old is still coming to terms with leaving 'The X Factor' as she "mostly" loved being on the ITV talent show but is looking forward to seeing who will take over from her and her former co-star Olly Murs later this year.
She told Metro newspaper: "It's great and whoever does it is going to have a lot of fun. it's mostly fun. It's 80 per cent fun. I have had a brilliant time working on 'The X Factor' over the last few years, and hosting the main show was just fantastic, I made some amazing friends."
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty has put to bed rumours that she's going to appear on London's West End in 'Chicago', but said it could be a possibility in the future.
She said: "I auditioned for it last year and they offered me the part, but the timing hasn't worked out yet. I'd love to do something like that. I did a bit of musical theatre when I was a kid."
In the meantime, Caroline is gearing up to jet out to Mallorca in Spain to host the new forthcoming series of 'Love Island'.

Fleur East backs Louis Walsh for X Factor job

Fleur East has backed Louis Walsh to return to 'The X Factor'.
The music manager is reportedly locked in a battle with One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson over who will replace Nick Grimshaw on the judging panel and former runner up Fleur is backing Walsh.
She told The Sun: "I love him. He is lovely. I did miss a bit of Louis on there, I'm not going to lie.
"I missed his energy. He's just so full of life so it will be nice to see a bit of him again."
Meanwhile, Nick joked that both could take his place.
He quipped: "Sellotape them both together and have double Louis."
Tomlinson - who found fame on 'The X Factor' with One Direction and also returned as a mentor at Judges' Houses last year - confirmed he is interested in the role but said there have been no official talks yet.
When asked about speculation linking him to the job, he said: "It's really exciting. We've had no official conversation yet. But yeah, I mean, why wouldn't I?"

Pete Wicks’ dog watches him having sex

Pete Wicks' dog watches him having sex.
The 'Only Way is Essex' hunk has admitted his pet pooch Ernest sits in the corner and watches him getting frisky with a woman because he can't bear to shut the four-legged creature out of the room.
He said: "I'm really close to my bulldog Ernest and he sleeps in bed with me. If I have a girl in there, he gets really jealous - he thinks it's his bed, so he doesn't like other people in it.
"There are 'times' he shouldn't be in it - so he sits in the corner and watches. I don't have the heart to put him outside! He can't breathe very well, either, so he's just there, heavy breathing in the corner - it's really awkward. Essentially I'm having sex in his bed!"
However, the handsome star has admitted his love life has been pretty much non-existent recently but he'd love to find someone to settle down with in the near future.
He explained to NOW! magazine: "I'm Mr Single. I'm too old to be single now, though. So it would be nice to chill out a bit and have date nights and someone to look after my dogs and make me breakfast. She doesn't have to have tattoos. I like wild, but not the type that's going to swing from the chandelier and p*** in your mouth. That's not what I want. I want an ambitious bird with a bit of fight in her."

Maisie Williams rules out Doctor Who return

Maisie Williams will never return to 'Doctor Who'.
The 18-year-old actress - who appeared in the sci-fi drama for four episodes last year - has admitted she has no plans to reprise her role as Ashildr, the daughter of a ninth century Viking farmer, when the new series hit screens next year.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "I'm not going to be working on 'Doctor Who' again. Everyone's hyping about it, which is very exciting, but I guess that's more of a publicity thing. But no, I'm not going to return, I have a lot of other really exciting projects lined up instead."
However, the brunette beauty has fond memories of shooting the last series alongside Jenna Coleman, who plays Clara Oswald, and Peter Capaldi, who plays the Doctor, and believes it opened her mind to different ways to film scenes.
Speaking at Coldplay's post-BRIT Awards concert in aid of War Child in London last night (24.02.16), she explained: "I had such a wonderful time shooting that series, it was really great to work with Jenna and Peter. It was such a different experience to shoot working in blocks, because I work on 'Game of Thrones' and we do everything all at the same time so it's a different way of working."
Maisie was joined by 'Britain's Got Talent' judge Alesha Dixon, Welsh actor Luke Evans and singer Conor Maynard at Coldplay's concert, and was treated to a special menu of cocktails by Italian liqueur Disaronno, such as their 'Sky Full of Stars' tipple, created especially for the event.

Dermot o’Leary to host new cooking show?

Dermot O'Leary is set to host a new cookery show.
The 42-year-old presenter is being lined up to front the new primetime programme 'Live at the Trattoria' on Fridays alongside Italian celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo as the pair slip on their aprons for some fun and games in the kitchen.
A source explained to The Sun newspaper: "Bosses have high hopes for him across ITV. If the pilot of 'Live at the Trattoria' is a success they will order a series - meaning he will have two weekend shows."
Dermot's new gig comes just a few days after it was announced he's been in discussions with bosses at ITV about the possibility of returning to 'The X Factor', which he quit in 2014 after nearly a decade at the helm, following the news replacement hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs, who took over from the legendary presenter last year, had bowed out.
An insider said recently: "We want the show to be bigger and better than last year and one thing that people really missed was Dermot. He is as much part of 'The X Factor' as Simon Cowell for most people so it makes sense to approach him about returning.
"Dermot is thinking things through and a big money deal will be offered to try to tempt him back. Nothing is signed but It is looking like a distinct possibility that he will return which is great news for viewers and for Dermot as he has missed working on one of the biggest shows on TV."

Carol Wright is being haunted by Nanny Pat

Carol Wright thinks she's being haunted by her late mother.
The 'Only Way is Essex' star was left heartbroken in December when her beloved mum, who also starred on the show, passed away following a short illness, but she has admitted, although she's sadly gone, she believes Nanny Pat is sending subtle messages to her beyond the grave.
She explained: "I think she still sends me little messages. Everywhere I look there are little feathers. When she did pass away, I was paranoid and thinking, 'My sisters have found a feather' and I wasn't finding anything and they just said, 'Do you know what? Just let it come' and every minute now, I'm finding feathers everywhere.
"I'll clear photo of her and then I'll clear another cupboard out and there's another photo of her but I've got her little pillow in the kitchen and I just speak to her every day like, 'You alright mum?' and I keep touching her picture."
Nanny Pat - who had just turned 80 when she died - was laid to rest last month in her hometown of Essex as her friends, co-stars and family gathered round to pay their respects and say their final goodbyes.
And it wasn't until that night that Carol - who has children Mark and Jessica Wright - realised she'd really lost her mum.
Speaking on 'Loose Women' today (25.02.16), she said: "I think it hit me when we got back from the funeral on that night, Jess came home to stay with me because she knew I was in a terrible state and that night, I sobbed on the floor, like a baby, because I couldn't believe I'd lost my mum ... and then every day I just kept crying and I'd miss her more."

Kacey Ainsworth pushed for EastEnders return

Kacey Ainsworth has been asked to return to 'EastEnders'.
The 47-year-old actress has admitted bosses have reached out to her as they're keen for her to reprise her role as Maureen 'Little Mo' Mitchell, who she portrayed from 2000 until 2006, in the soap but she hasn't been able to take them up on their offer as she's been tied up with other projects.
She explained: "It's not like they haven't asked. But the thing is, I have so much on the table at the moment that it would actually be quite difficult to find a space. So it's about timing."
However, the brunette beauty - whose alter-ego was known as one of the Slater clan before she married Billy Mitchell - hasn't ruled out a return in the future because she thoroughly enjoyed the six years she spent on the show.
She added to the RadioTimes.com: "I look back on my time on EastEnders with real nostalgia. The Slaters made a big impact and it all worked well. So you never say never. It would be a nice thing to do, maybe, I don't know."
Meanwhile, it seems this could be a good time for Kacey to reprise her timid role as her on-screen sister Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) has just found out she has another son.
Little Mo was also referenced, along with her on-screen sisters, in a recent episode when her on-screen father Charlie Slater (Derek Martin) was sadly laid to rest.

Alesha Dixon: National Lottery players change lives

Alesha Dixon thinks National Lottery players are changing lives.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge has praised the nation on their incredible contribution to charitable schemes, simply by purchasing a ticket every week, after a staggering £179 million was raised for arts and community projects last month.
She said: "People do the lottery every month because they want to change their lives, even if you don't win, you are still changing someone's life and I think that's a brilliant way to do the lottery. Knowing how much money is going to good causes makes me want to do it every week because there's a bigger picture going on, which is incredible"
The 37-year-old brunette beauty celebrated the record-breaking news by attending the Jimi Hendrix Museum in London dressed as the late music legend after the museum was restored recently and reopened to the public thanks to £1.2 million raised from the National Lottery.
Speaking of the event, she explained: "I don't even know how much the British public are aware of how much money every month goes to good causes from the National Lottery. It was even a pleasant surprise to me. It's great to let the public know that they have single-handedly had an involvement in all these wonderful projects and every time you do the lottery you are helping someone which is great."
