Sherrie Hewson wants to do her late friend Mollie Sugden proud when she stars in the remake of 'Are You Being Served?'.
The 'Loose Women' panellist is to play Mrs. Slocombe in the upcoming series, but she is "nervous" about the portrayal because her good friend Mollie did such a good job in the role in the original 1970s sitcom.
She said: "I am playing Mrs. Slocombe and it starts in 1988 when 'Are You Being Served?' finished so it goes from there. It is written by Derren Litten who writes 'Benidorm' and it is a brilliant brilliant funny script.
"I am going to have coloured hair.
"I knew Mollie and she was a wonderful actress, but more importantly she was a very very lovely lady, and I worked with her. She is wonderful.
"I am very nervous because it is so iconic and you want to do everybody proud, particularly Molly because I knew her."
Sherrie will appear alongside her former 'Coronation Street' co-star Roy Barraclough, who will play Mr. Grainger, Gavin and Stacey's Mathew Horne (a young Mr. Grainger), and 'Trollied' actor Jason Walker (Mr. Humphries), and she believes the cast complements the original series which aired from 1972 to 1985.
Speaking on 'Loose Women', she added: "The characters are so well defined.
"Roy Barraclough, I have to say he is exactly Mr. Grainger as well. Young Mr. Grainger is a young Mr.Grainger, who is Mat Horne, who I absolutely adore. Oh my heart throbbed too. Niky Wardley (Miss Brahms) she is fabulous.
"It is so exciting, I cannot tell you."

'Coronation Street' stars and several soap actors have paid tribute to the show's creator Tony Warren following his passing.
The 79-year-old writer conceived the idea for the world's longest-running TV soap in 1960 and hordes of actors have heaped praise on him and thanked the scriptwriter for all his work on the programme.
Sally Dynevor - who has portrayed busybody character Sally Webster since 1986 - tweeted: "R.I.P Tony Warren. Very much loved. Changed television forever. Thank you #Corrieforever (sic)"
Bill Roache, who has played Ken Barlow since the soap's first episode in 1960, said: "When I first met Tony I couldn't quite believe he'd created and written Coronation Street because he was no more than a young boy. It was his boyish energy even recently when I saw him again that I'll remember.
"I loved Tony's energy. He was the father of Coronation Street and he gave us all so much. He will be so desperately missed because of who he was and what he did. We owe him so much."
Helen Worth, who has portrayed Gail McIntyre since 1974, added: "Tony was a genius of our time, the dearest funniest and most inspirational man of his generation. He brought real life into our homes for us all to relate to and enjoy. He will of course live on forever through Coronation Street."
It's not just 'Corrie' stars who have paid tribute to Tony's work. Other current and former soap actors also lavished praise on the late star, including 'EastEnders' actor Adam Woodyatt and his former co-star Martin Kemp, who both branded Tony the "godfather of soap".
Adam - who has played Ian Beale in the BBC One show since its inception in February 1985 - wrote: "Tony Warren was the original Godfather of UK Soap. My thoughts are with his family and all at Corrie. #RIP (sic)"
Martin Kemp - who portrayed Steve Owen in 'EastEnders' - tweeted: "RIP Tony Warren 'The Godfather of Soap' thoughts with your many friends and family! (sic)"
'Coronation Street' could've been a hit for the BBC but Tony never received a reply from producer Barney Colehan about his script.
Granada Television producer Harry Elton eventually commissioned a handful of pilot episodes and the show has been running ever since.
Other 'Corrie' stars who paid tribute to Tony include Kym Marsh, who plays Michelle Connor.
She wrote: "With such sadness today we say goodbye to the great Tony Warren. An amazing man, a true legend. We owe him so much. He will be sadly missed (sic)"
Samia Ghadie (Maria Connor) tweeted: "So saddened to hear that Tony Warren has died. He was the truly wonderful man who gave us @itvcorrie .. #RipTony we will never forget you (sic)"
Les Dennis (Michael Rodwell) wrote: "So sad to hear about Tony Warren. A true Television Pioneer. Proud to have known him. The @itvcorrie cobbles a lonelier place without him. (sic)"
Antony Cotton (Sean Tully) posted: "With heavy heart & great sadness I can confirm that our pal Tony Warren has died. He leaves the greatest legacy. I'll miss him so much (sic)"
Jane Danson - who portrays Leanne Tilsley - tweeted: "So sad to hear this R.i.p tony and thank you xxx (sic)"

Stephanie Davis and Jeremy McConnell are getting matching tattoos.
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' couple - who have embarked on a tumultuous relationship since leaving the house last month - may have only been dating eight weeks but have agreed to get a "creepy" inking of Oasis' 'Live Forever' lyrics on their body to prove their love for one another.
Jeremy explained: "We are getting a tattoo next week. Not names. We are getting Oasis' 'Live Forever'. We are going to get Oasis 'Live Forever' because the song: 'Maybe you're the same as me. We see things they'll never see. You and I are going to live forever.' That quote because in the house we both kind of just adapted to each other."
And, although the couple don't want to get each other's names carved into their flesh, the former 'Hollyoaks' actress - who split with her now-ex-boyfriend Sam Reece after he watched her relationship with the hunk flourish on screen - is keen to get Jeremy's initial on the end.
She teased: "We are going to get a little initial at the end, but we have got a little saying."
The pair is yet to decide where to get their intimate inkings but the Irish hunk, 26 - who is covered in tattoos - has ruled out his wedding finger as it's already doused with colour.
Asked whether he'll get the tattoo on his wedding finger, he said while appearing on 'Loose Women' today (26.02.16): "I would but I've already got a tattoo there. I could get the 'S' for Stephanie, but we will see what happens."

Ben Cohen has knocked out two teeth and punctured his lip after he took a tumble while training on 'The Jump'.
The former rugby star required 20 stitches after he ploughed into the pads - placed at the side of the slopes to prevent serious injury - on the Austrian ski run while whizzing down the course in practice for Sunday night's (28.02.16) live show.
Taking to his Twitter account today (26.02.16), the hunky sportsman uploaded a photograph of his swollen lip and bloody stitches alongside the caption: "Morning!! Back skiing today after my accident. 20 stitches and 2 lost teeth. I actually used my face to stop me. Totally unplanned though (sic)."
Despite his painful injury, the 37-year-old star will be well enough to compete in the show at the weekend.

Beth and Mark's wounds were among the worst as the gymnast suffered a broken back when she smashed into a bollard, while the 'Made in Chelsea' star snapped his ankle competing in the snow cross challenge.

Bill Turnbull said an emotional goodbye to 'BBC Breakfast' this morning (26.02.16) following 15 years on the show.
The 60-year-old host, who announced his departure last year, was visibly moved when he sat on the red sofa today to present his final ever episode of the news programme.
Just minutes before he left the screen, he said his final goodbye to the public in a heartfelt speech, saying: "I have always believed it is a privilege to broadcast anywhere on the airwaves, but to present this programme has been a special one.
"I've had a wonderful time and with my friends and colleagues who have had a lot to put up with over the years. Above all though, thank you for letting me into your homes whether it is in the kitchen, the living room or as I am often told, the bedroom. Whether you have been with us for the past 15 years or just this morning, I hope you found it worthwhile, it certainly has been for me."
The much-loved presenter kicked off his last day on 'BBC Breakfast' being mocked by his colleagues, before being gifted with a large cake and forced to watch an emotional montage.
Susanna Reid, who used to present the morning show alongside Bill before she was swiped by ITV, led the tributes by wishing the broadcaster all the best for the future.
She said in the pre-recorded video: "Good morning Bill and goodbye from your second TV breakfast wife ... From interviews that didn't always go to plan to sharing 'Strictly' tips... I feel privileged to have shared a sofa with you."
James Corden added: "For so much of my life you have been my morning glory and I'm going to miss you every day."
And 'EastEnders' star Adam Woodyatt concluded on behalf of the BBC soap: "Just a quick word for us to wish you well, enjoy not getting up so early in the morning anymore."
Meanwhile, Bill will be replaced on the breakfast show by Dan Walker as he saddles up next to Louise Minchin on the sofa three days a week - Monday to Wednesday - from later this month.

James Norton is reportedly dating Jessie Buckley.
The 'War and Peace' actor - who portrays Prince Andrei Bolkonsky in the drama - has sparked rumours he's romancing the 26-year-old beauty, who plays his on-screen sister Princess Marya, after they were spotted locking lips at a BRITs after-party in London on Wednesday night (24.02.16).
A source explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's clear to see there's real chemistry between them. They spent the whole night together and were chatting and laughing loads. At one point Jessie planted a kiss on James."
However, news the handsome star - who is also known for playing a psychopath in 'Happy Valley' - is off the market will no doubt come as a surprise to fans as he recently admitted he is very much single and his love life was non-existent.
He said recently: "My love life right now is infinitely less interesting than that of any of my characters."
But James is desperate to settle down and start a family with a lovely lady in the near future.
He said: "I definitely want a family, because my sister and I were raised in a really close family and my parents are still very much in love and living in Yorkshire. That's the kind of end game that I would love, too."

Georgia May Foote wants to land a movie role in Hollywood.
The former 'Coronation Street' actress - who was known for playing young mum Katy Armstrong in the soap until her exit last year - is desperate to crack America and has asked her management to put her forward for auditions across the pond now she's finished touring with 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
However, it seems things could get awkward for the brunette beauty as he ex-boyfriend Sean Ward, whom she split from on bitter terms last year, is also trying to crack Tinseltown.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Both Georgia and Sean are interested in movies as well as TV shows.
"Los Angeles isn't a big place so they might well end up going for roles on the same project. It must be awkward knowing you could bump into your ex at any moment."
Meanwhile, Georgia's new boyfriend Giovanni Pernice may not be best pleased to hear the news the actress is keen to make a career stateside as they've just moved in together.
The pair, who struck up a relationship when they were partnered together on 'Strictly Come Dancing' last year, announced the happy news earlier this week when she uploaded a photograph of her new house keys on Instagram.

Hollyoaks' Daisy Wood-Davis has teased there's a lot of "twists" lined up for her character Kim Butterfield over the next coming weeks after she was wrongly framed for murder.
The 25-year-old actress has hinted her crazy alter-ego has a long road ahead of her after she was arrested and charged for all of the Gloved Hand Killer's evil crimes after the real culprit Lindsey Roscoe (Sophie Austin) framed her sister.
She said: "I can't give away too much about what happens next, but there are a lot more twists and turns coming up for Kim. There's still a lot more stuff for me on screen."
And Kim's release from prison may have something to do with her ex-girlfriend Esther Bloom (Jazmine Franks) as she comes up with a plan to prove her former lover's innocence.
Daisy explained: "Esther knows the real Kim, so deep down, she probably realises that she's not capable of it. But at the same time, Esther wonders why Kim was holding the killing kit if she's not guilty. So Esther's feelings are mixed but they do change eventually - which you'll see later on."
And Daisy hopes the nitty-gritty case brings her alter-ego and Esther together again after they split last year.
She added: "I think Kim and Esther are a really cute couple and they're good for each other. Let's face it, ever since she split from Esther, it's all gone quite downhill for Kim."
But it may not be a happy ending for Kim after all as her evil sister may claim her as her next victim.
Daisy told Digital Spy: "There's always that risk, because Lindsey is just not going to stop at anything. Lindsey is so ruthless and she's even tried to kill her own husband. It just goes to show that nobody is safe."
