Vicky Pattison earns her first £1m

Vicky Pattison has earned her first million.
The 'Geordie Shore' star has revealed she's "hit the seven-figure mark" and is investing her money in property rather than "flash cars and designer handbags".
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I've just about hit the seven-figure mark for the first time. But I'm being wise with my money. I've been very well advised and I'm turning myself into a bit of a property tycoon. I recently bought a house in Newcastle and I've just had an offer accepted on a property in Essex, so I'm very happy.
"But I'm also being careful. Some people fritter their money away but I'm not like that. I'm being responsible. No flash cars and designer handbags for me. I'd rather have a gin and tonic and a Domino's pizza."
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old television personality previously revealed she plans on retiring to Australia when she turns 35.
She shared: "I've always wanted to live in Australia. 'Geordie Shore' was huge over there, so I've already got my foot in the door. It's something I'll definitely thinking about doing when I'm older. I'll retire there when I'm 35!"

Gaz Beadle’s mum is Geordie Shore’s biggest fan

Gary 'Gaz' Beadle's mother is addicted to 'Geordie Shore'.
The 27-year-old reality TV star, who has starred on the boozy show since 2011, says his mum watches every single episode of the MTV programme because she enjoys learning about his private life, relationship woes and drunken antics, which he wouldn't dare share with her.
Speaking exclusively to BANG showbiz about his parents' reaction to being on the reality series, he said: "My dad was like 'That's my boy'. My mum is more prim and proper. She watches every single episode, but I think it's good because I still wouldn't swear in front of my mum.
"She would never know me on a night out ... But now she gets to watch it, she gets to watch a totally different side of me that she would never get to see and I think she quite likes that; like the relationship things, and details I would never tell my mum, what I'm like drunk she would never get to see."
Despite the matriarch's obsession with the titillating series, he revealed he still maintains this dual persona because talking about the show is a taboo in his household.
He added: "I still don't really talk about it."
The lothario will return to 'Geordie Shore' series 12, which will be broadcast on MTV, on Tuesday (15.03.16) at 10pm.

Jake Quickenden wants X Factor gig

Jake Quickenden wants to present 'The X Factor'.
The 27-year-old singer, who competed on the show in 2012 and 2014, is waiting for the big boss Simon Cowell to pick up the phone and offer him the sought-after gig as he believes he's the perfect match for the popular role.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Jake said: "Ohhh give me a ring, Simon. I'd love to do that. I love presenting and TV and anything where I'm learning new stuff."
The handsome star would even consider postponing his nationwide tour, which kicks off in September, if it meant he could front the weekend singing competition.
He explained: "I haven't (checked if the tour clashes with 'X Factor') but I think I'd be able to work round it if I got the 'X Factor'. I'm sure I'd be able to put my tour on hold. Music is obviously my passion but I'm not ruling anything out."
Meanwhile, for now, Jake is concentrating on the release of his new single 'Blindfold', which has been written in memory of his late brother Oliver - who passed away from bone cancer - and his forthcoming second EP.
He added: "I've been concentrating on writing this (EP) so now it's written, see how it does and if anything comes in then I'll definitely take it."

Catherine Tyldesley’s 100k Corrie deal

Catherine Tyldesley has signed a new £100,000 contract with 'Coronation Street'.
The lucrative deal will keep the blonde beauty - who plays barmaid Eva Price - on the show for at least another year.
A source told the Sun on Sunday: "She's a real star and has a great future on the cobbles."
The blonde beauty recently admitted that although she's desperate to try her hand at other acting roles, she'd love to see her flirtatious alter-ego still pulling pints behind the Rovers Return pub, chatting up the men, and flashing her ample cleavage on the show in five decades' time.
She explained: "I adore 'Corrie' ... but there are lots of other things I want to do, and I want to be versatile, so it would be nice to go off and do other bits and pieces.
"But I would hope that no matter what happens, 'Corrie' will always be somewhere I can come home to. I'd love to see Eva at 80-odd, still behind the Rovers bar with her boobs up to here, setting the world to rights."
Catherine's new deal comes after a number of high-profile departures from the soap.
Brooke Vincent - who recently revealed she is desperate to broaden her horizons and try her hand at a "gritty" blockbuster in Hollywood - is taking a break from her role as Sophie Webster in order to try her hand at theatre in Manchester's 'My Baby' later this year.
She said: "I had been there for so long. I wanted a new challenge. 'Corrie' is my home and that's nice but it's also nice to do something else for a while. Being on stage is a different way of acting."
And Ryan Thomas - who played bricklayer Jason Grimshaw - has also recently quit the show in order to kick-start his career Stateside.

Maddy Hill and Himesh Patel quit EastEnders

Maddy Hill and Himesh Patel have quit 'EastEnders'.
The pair, who play Nancy Carter and Tamwar Masood on the BBC soap, have already filmed their final scenes and are expected to leave the show in the next few weeks.
Maddy told Digital Spy: It was time for Nancy to take a break from her family and me from 'EastEnders' after having a wonderful time working on the show.
"I was surrounded by a terrific team both on and off camera and I shall miss seeing them all on a daily basis, especially the fabulous Carter family."
Himesh added: "I'm looking forward to new challenges, perhaps on the stage or behind the camera. Whatever awaits me, I'll miss my family at 'EastEnders' immensely - they've watched me grow from boy to man and supported me every step of the way."
Maddy joined the show in 2014 as part of the Carter family, who took over the Queen Vic pub.
She won rave reviews and a number of awards, including Best Newcomer at the National Television Awards and British Soap Awards, for her portrayal of the feisty blonde.
And Himesh, who stars as market inspector Tamwar, has been part of the show since 2007, with his on-screen sister Shabnam Masood (Rakhee Thakrar) leaving the soap earlier this year.

Julian Ovenden’s ‘allergic’ to social media

Julian Ovenden is "allergic" to social media.
The 'Downton Abbey' star - who is known for playing handsome ladies' man Charles Blake in the period drama - doesn't like the thought of airing his dirty laundry online for all to see so he prefers to stay away from it at all costs.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I'm allergic to social media but I've realised it's quite important so sometimes I have to write something but I'm a reluctant tweeter. I just feel like I don't really want to self-promote. I feel like I want to have a little bit of mystery because you don't want to tell people too much about you."
However, the 39-year-old actor has realised the internet will help him to promote his forthcoming album 'Be My Love' seeing as most people recognise him from the small screen.
He explained: "I've been a singer a lot longer than I've been an actor. It's been something I do and it's been one of threads to my career and I guess it's slightly less known than my screen work or theatre work and it's nice to share it with a wider audience and I wanted to make a record that was a representation of what I do, what kind of person I am, what kind of performer I am and I'm really proud of it."
'Be My Love' is set for release on April 22 on East West.

Claire King: ‘Young Corrie boys chat me up’

Claire King claims the "young boys" on 'Coronation Street' chat her up.
The 53-year-old actress - who portrays Erica Holyroyd on the show - no longer feels a pressure to be sexy but thinks it is "lovely" to be appreciated for her looks.
She said: "I think TV and the media are very much geared to youth and looks these days, so I don't think there is that pressure on me. But it is still lovely to feel that you look good and that you're appreciated.
"A couple of the young boys on the show often chat me up and it's very nice, thank you very much. Still got it baby!"
Though the former 'Emmerdale' star wishes she was a little big thinner, she insists she is "more than happy" with herself.
She told Closer magazine: "I'm more than happy being in my body. I could do with a little bit of weight off, of course, but when it gets to middle aged spread there's not a lot you can do about it - it spreads.
"In the past I'd have stressed about putting on a couple of pounds, but I'm not bothered about that now."

Jorgie Porter wants a ‘real man’s man’

Jorgie Porter wants to find a "real man's man".
The 'Hollyoaks' actress - who recently split from rugby star Luther Burrell - would love to find her "ideal guy" but insists she isn't looking for love.
She said: "Luther and I aren't together any more. It is fairly recent. I'm not happy to be single, but I'm not looking for love because I think when you fall in love, it hits you out of nowhere - POW - like a lightning bolt.
"Instead I'm focusing now on all of the opportunities that I've been given to do great work - I really feel like I'm ready to take on the world. But I'd love to meet a real man's man, you know, a man who likes to get dirty, doesn't pout, and takes less time than me in the shower. That's my ideal guy."
The 28-year-old actress recently enjoyed a stint in the 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' jungle and feels it has taught her she can "push through" anything.
She explained to The Sun newspaper: "Being in there has taught me that I can just push through things that are tough. It might not feel like it at times, but everything does have an end. And now I feel like it was one of the best things I've ever done.
"When I was speaking to the show psychiatrist afterwards, she talked through everything I'd achieved in there and I felt so powerful. I've also learnt that it's important to be with people who make you happy and you can be yourself with, because of all the arguing and fighting. At times it wasn't even about trials any more, just about enduring arguments."

Suranne Jones gives birth to son

Suranne Jones has given birth to her first child.
The 'Doctor Foster' star and her husband Laurence Akers have welcomed a baby boy into the world and the actress revealed the wonderful news at the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards on Friday (11.03.16) night.
The pretty brunette accepted the Best Actress prize via a recorded video message during which she said: "Sorry I can't be there but I have a good excuse."
And, in a statement a representative for the 37-year-old star, added: "Suranne and Laurence were delighted to welcome their son into the world last week."
Suranne revealed she was expecting her first child in January, seven months into her pregnancy on the red carpet of the National Television Awards in London.
The excited star couldn't hide her joy and told reporters at the glitzy event: "Me and my husband are so thrilled. We've been married nearly a year-and-a-half now and what a wonderful way to move our marriage on and we're delighted."
Meanwhile, this year looks set to be a busy one for Suranne as not only will she have a beautiful baby but she will also have to start filming the second series of the hit show.
The programme will see the actress reprise her role as trusted GP Gemma Foster as well as take hold of the producing ropes.
She explained: "We start filming in September. It will be similar in set-up and will follow Gemma. I'm Associate Producer this year so the script isn't under lock and key this time. I'm part of the collaborative team this year."
