Gemma Merna is a qualified yoga teacher.
The 32-year-old actress, who was known for playing ditzy blonde bombshell Carmel McQueen in 'Hollyoaks' until she was killed off in 2014, turned her back on acting last year in order to fulfil her dreams of a full-time therapy leader.
She explained: "To be honest, it's been my plan for the last six years. I always wanted to train as a yoga teacher, but when you're in 'Hollyoaks', you can't really get any holidays...
"I went to Morocco and trained. It was one of the most amazing experiences, but also one of the hardest."
The blonde beauty has admitted people are often put off when they rock up to her classes and realise who she is.
She said: "When people first come into the room for one of my classes, they may see me as 'Gemma from 'Hollyoaks'. But by the time they leave, I'm just 'Gemma the yoga teacher' and they've had a great class. I'm very tough in my classes - nobody gets away with anything!"
Meanwhile, although she took a year out to train as a yoga teacher, Gemma is now keen to get her acting career back on track and has been busy auditioning for roles.
She told Digital Spy: "I took a year off and now I'm just auditioning and seeing what's right for me. Yoga is my life at the moment, so it doesn't ever feel like something I'm 'falling back on'. I do it day to day, but then if another job comes in and it suits me, it's all quite flexible."

Phillip Schofield proposed to his wife naked.
The 'This Morning' host has admitted he popped the question to Stephanie Lowe, whom he's been married to for more than 20 years, while in the nude after he tucked her engagement ring in a do-it-yourself advent calendar over Christmas.
Speaking to his co-star Holly Willoughby on the show today (16.03.16), he explained: "I proposed to Steph with an advent calendar. You could put your own things in the boxes so I filled it with bath salts, cheap things like that. Then on the given day I put the engagement ring in. She opened it up, I hopped out of bed starkers and went down on one knee! And then she said 'I prefer the bath salts', just kidding!
The couple got married in 1993 and have two daughters, Molly, 22, and Ruby, 19, together.
But, despite their long marriage, it seems the couple are still learning new things about one another as Phillip, 53, admitted last year they got into a six-month-long fight after playing the board game version of his show 'Mr and Mrs'.
He said at the time: "Steph's relatives play games, a tradition my family has now embraced, too, although one year, after playing the 'Mr and Mrs' board game, the arguments continued until June. We're not getting that out again."

James Cracknell's children carry their own bags.
The 43-year-old double Olympic gold medalist likes to encourage his daughters Kiki, seven, Trixie, five, and 12-year-old son Croyde to lug their own luggage around when they're at the airport because he believes it helps them get excited for their impending holiday.
He said: "Kids often like taking ownership of their 'stuff' and are strangely delighted by wheeling their case around.
"Try to get them involved from the outset, so get them to help you with the packing too as it can help to build excitement around the trip."
And his kids aren't the only ones who are riddled with excitement when they hop on a plane as James tries to imagine he's taking in the sights through the little ones' eyes.
He explained: "See the city from the kids' point of view: City centres offer lots of family friendly activities."

A colossal explosion is set to wipe out three famous faces on 'Neighbours'.
The Channel 5 Australian soap is set for a fatal blow next month as three characters lose their lives after they get trapped in the wreckage at Lassiters Hotel in an intense week long special, which will see an hour-long episode focus on the fate of a different individual victim in the disaster.
Speaking to The Digital Spy about the boiler room blast, producer Jason Herbison said: "Hotel Death Trap week might well be the biggest week of 'Neighbours' ever.
"Kicking off with an explosion at Lassiters Hotel, every episode sees brand new stories unfold, including shock returns, mysterious strangers, twists and turns aplenty and jeopardy for all our beloved characters. Tragically, by the time the dust settles, the death count will be up to three."
However, the scenes are believed to be too graphic for its usual day time slot on screen - 1:45pm and 5:30pm - and are consequently scheduled to air at the post-watershed time of 10pm.
Meanwhile, although three actors are set to bow out of the long-running show in a few weeks' time, Ramsay Street will also see the return of a familiar face as Nicola Charles, who plays Sarah Beaumont, will make a shock appearance on April 5.

Charlotte Crosby will never quit 'Geordie Shore'.
The 25-year-old reality TV star - who has been on the boozy show since it started in 2011 - may have the world in the palm of her hand right now but she's adamant she'll never turn her back on the programme that made her famous until it's pulled.
She explained: "I'm in it until the very end. Why would I quit the best job ever?
"I get to travel the world with my mates and party. Newcastle is where I belong; I'd never move to London and go all posh."
But, although she's adamant she'll star on the MTV show until the very end, the blonde beauty, who won the twelfth series of 'Celebrity Big Brother' in 2013, hasn't ruled out starring on another programme - like 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
She explained: "I'd love to do 'Strictly Come Dancing' but there's no way they'd have someone from 'Geordie Shore' on the BBC. 'The Jump' is too cold for me but I'd like to do 'Bear Grylls Mission Survive' as I'm quite fit."
Meanwhile, Charlotte recently underwent a nose job, had her teeth whitened and had lip injections, which set her back a staggering £7,000, but she doesn't regret a single thing.
She told The Star newspaper: "I do feel the best I've ever done about my looks. I'm definitely taking more selfies. It's like I've had a body and personality change. I wanted to be more confident because I had things that made me feel insecure."

'Happy Valley' will come to an end after the sixth series.
The mastermind behind the police drama, Sally Wainwright, has admitted she never writes for one series, but instead for a sequel, but she won't allow the programme to drag on too long because she fears the storyline will start to "rot."
Speaking to The Daily Star newspaper about the hit show, the Bafta-winning writer said: "I never plan to write one series of anything. You only write one series if it's not successful, and you don't get recommissioned. But it's when shows get into fifth, sixth, seventh, series that the rot tends to set in."
The intense six-part drama - which has followed matriarch Sergeant Catherine Cawood (played by Sarah Lancashire) investigate numerous killings of prostitutes in West Yorkshire, whilst trying to uncover the mysterious person behind grandson Ryan's (Rhys Conna) birthday present - came to a dramatic end last night (15.03.16).
The explosive finale saw Detective Sergeant John Wadsworth (Kevin Doyle) plummet to his death after being unveiled as the culprit behind his mistress Vicky Fleming's (Amelia Bullmore) brutal murder.
Meanwhile, the popular drama is set to return for a third series next year as more unexpected twists hit the village.

Ola Jordan is planning to release a tell-all book.
The former 'Strictly Come Dancing' professional, who appeared on the programme for almost a decade, is set to dish the dirt on the show, which she previously branded a "fix", the behind-the-scenes shenanigans, the backstage feuds, how the judges have favourites and staff pay-outs.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "This is one explosive book, she is going to reveal all the backstage goings on and she won't hold back.
"It's going to be one of the biggest page turners to come from the show, it will definitely ruffle a few feathers. We are sure Ola has a lot to say, let's hope she checks it with her lawyer."
The 33-year-old beauty is also expected to divulge details on some of the show's most scandalous romances - including Kristina Rihanoff's love affair with Vincent Simone and Ben Cohen, Pasha Kovalev's hook-up with Rachel Riley and Natasha Kaplinsky's fling with Brendan Cole - as well as give the lowdown on the judges and their voting tactics.
Ola - who quit the show in 2015, a year after her husband James Jordan left - is planning to release her new book in October, so it corresponds with the new series of the show.

Ferne McCann is learning to be a bus driver.
The 'Only Way Is Essex' star has revealed she has successfully passed her theory test and is gearing up for her practical in a bid to encourage more female bus drivers.
Speaking on ITV's This Morning, she said: "I mentioned the other week that I was getting my bus license and I'm doing this to encourage more female bus drivers. Less that 8% bus drivers are female, so why not? Why can't women become bus drivers?
"I kid you not, I'm not just doing this as a little challenge, I'm fully blown going for my bus license! If all goes wrong, I can become a bus driver!"
The 25-year-old television personality admits it has been "challenging" at times and has confessed to hitting "a few curbs" now and again.
She added: "It's such a massive task and it's been so challenging. I'm not the best driver but this is huge! It's like a giant go kart! The wheels are behind you so you almost have to do every maneuver a little bit late ...
"I've been driving around East London in a bus and I've got people at traffic light going 'Is that who I think it is driving a bus?' But it's been fun. Although I've hit a few curbs I'm not gonna lie!"

EastEnders' Davood Ghadami is feeling broody.
The 33-year-old actor - who is known for playing Kush Kazemi in the popular long-running soap - has admitted he thoroughly enjoys working with baby Arthur, his alter-ego's secret son with Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner), and comes away from the set pining after a child of his own.
He said: "Working with babies does make you feel broody - especially when they're as good as the ones who play Arthur. We've got some fantastic babies who steal most of the scenes. We rehearse without them, but it changes everything once their in your arms - you can't beat that feeling."
And the handsome star is set to spend more time with the little one at work now that Kush is adamant he'll be part of the baby's life following the departure of Martin Fowler (James Alexandrou), who thought he was the father of Arthur.
He told Inside Soap magazine: "Kush needs to fight for his son - that's what I would tell him to do if he were my friend. Regret is something you can do nothing about - you can't go back in time and change anything. When Arthur takes his first steps and says his first words, Kush has to be part of that."
